Soul Circle Radio Mix Series Vol.25 J.Digs (Vancouver, CAN) @j_digs The theme of this mix is worldwide soul. I wanted to bring sounds together from all corners of the world while keeping a soulful and consistent energy. I kick it off with a house-based remix of a Maxwell classic and build from there, getting into some soulful flips from Jarreau Vandal and Coastal, then moving into some funk-based grooves from Tek.Lun, Birocratic, and JR Jarris. From there, I keep it moving with Latin remix of a Dilla classic, some Foreign Exchange, Illa J, and more chill hip hop vibes, before capping it off with some Nigerian Afrobeats that I’ve been feeling lately. Soul Circle Radio Mix Series Vol.9 Dave Tada (Los Angeles, USA) I began DJing in my late teens, being heavily influenced by Gilles Peterson and the UK acid jazz scene, as well as deep house DJ/producers like Frankie Knuckles, Kerri Chandler, and Masters at Work. A couple years went by before i discovered atmospheric drum and bass. Though i haven’t been playing it out consistently over the years, it's always held a soft spot in my heart.
