The writer, presenter and podcaster Richard Osman has released his latest novel – We Chase Shadows, the second book in his We Solve Murders series. The release follows the success of his Thursday Murder Club novels which have sold millions of copies since the first book was published in 2020. It has since been made into a film produced by Steven Spielberg. Known for his TV presenter role on the hit game shows Pointless and Richard Osman's House of Games, Osman started his career in showbusiness as a producer, devising formats for TV game shows which he pitched to broadcasters. He became the creative director of the television company Endemol and landed his first on screen gig on Pointless after standing in as co-presenter during run-throughs for the BBC. With Alexander Armstrong he went on to present over a thousand episodes before stepping down in 2022 to concentrate on his writing. Growing up in Hayworth's Heath, Sussex, he showed an early interest in games and quizzes as well as TV and radio programmes. When he was 15 year old, he wrote to BBC Radio Sussex's Turn It Up youth music programme, securing a role behind the microphone. He went on to study politics and sociology at Cambridge University where he first met his presenting partner Alexander Armstrong. Esther Korinsky Woodward puts those rumors to rest and gives up all the history on the formation of the Stooges and being close with both Lester Bangs and going to high school with Jaan Uhelszki of Creem magazine. As she navigates an upcoming book about the start of the Stooges and a relationship with bassist Dave Alexander and eventually being with guitarist/bassist Scott Asheton, Esther found her way to recovery, while realizing she saw an apex of Michigan Music History. And was part of it all!    Esther pieces together a graphic historical perspective of seeing the Stooges formation while befriending and sharing drugs with Lester Bangs. Esther eventually cleaned up and found her way to share the stories that she experienced at the start of the critical Michigan formation of the band that launched Iggy Pop and started an entire scene in itself. As well as being at the start of the magazine Creem, as Lester Bangs launched into the world. Her photos have been sought after and she keeps them for her eventual book. While unfortunately she ended up on the Creem Documentary cutting room floor during the taping, she is in two other documentaries, Ticket To Ride as well as Louder Than Love, two movies based on Detroit and Creem Magazine.    Esther enjoys sharing her story and hopes to give hope to others that think they can't get past their addictions. Cynthia Rothrock is a martial arts expert and athlete, who went on to become a film actress, starring in a number of highly successful action movies. She first made a name as an action actress in Hong Kong before going on to wow audiences in her home turf. At the time of her popularity, she was well-known as the “Queen of Martial Arts films”. World Champion Cynthia Rothrock is the World Champion in martial arts Forms and Weapons (1981-1985). Her goal was to be undefeated and retire after five years. With over 100 competitions, she holds the undefeated worldwide record in martial arts Forms competition. In weapons competition, Cynthia is the first and only woman to win number one in North America against the men—at that time, women had to compete with the men. She holds five Black Belts with a rank of 8th dan Grandmaster. Acting Career Upon completing her goal of being undefeated in competition, she began her martial arts acting career starring in movies produced and filmed in Hong Kong. Her first movie, Yes, Madam alongside Michelle Yeoh, broke box office records making her a massive star in Hong Kong. After three years of living in Hong Kong, finishing seven films, she returned to the United States to continue her acting career. Today she has starred in over 60 movies and is currently working on upcoming projects. Celebrated Role Model Cynthia has been a role model for women in martial arts and film. In 1983, she became the first woman to grace the cover of Karate Illustrated. Cynthia is a proud inductee into the prestigious Black Belt Hall of Fame, along with Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris.
