Have you ever hit the pillow at night, only to have your mind instantly race with every conversation, regret, or false accusation from the day? When your head touches the pillow, do you find yourself winning imaginary arguments, scrolling on your phone to escape, or wrestling with an anger that just won't quit? You aren't alone. King David knew that exact late-night battle. In Psalm 4, David finds himself under attack, slandered, and misunderstood—yet he discovered a rest that no circumstances can steal. In this message Pastor Rich walks through Psalm 4 to uncover how to trade late-night anxiety, hurt, and self-vindication for true, gospel-centered peace and rest. In this sermon, you'll discover: • How to Cry Out First: Why going to God in prayer must be our first reaction—before we doom-scroll, turn to Google, or rehearse arguments in our heads. • Victory Over False Accusations: How knowing you are set apart by God gives you security when people lie about your character or misjudge your heart. • "Be Angry and Do Not Sin": How to tell the difference between destructive, self-serving anger and righteous anger that drives you toward God—and why anger left unchecked acts like a precision-less flamethrower. • Forgiveness as a Daily Walk: Why letting go of hurt isn't a "one-and-done" decision, but a daily step of faith in the God who vindicates us. • The Secret to True Rest: How to utilize Psalm 4:8 so you can finally lie down, shut off the noise, and sleep in total peace. The world promises peace through earthly prosperity, but God offers a joy far greater. No matter what you are facing, God will not waste your suffering—He uses it to conform you to Christ, build your resilience, and draw you into His presence. Are you ready to stop fighting the battle in your own strength and rest in the God who alone makes you dwell in safety? Key Takeaway Verse: "I will both lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, Lord, make me live in safety." — Psalm 4:8 Connect & Next Steps: Need Salvation or Prayer? If you are ready to repent of your sins, trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and step into a saving relationship with Him today, reach out to us! Memorize the Word: Join us in committing Psalm 4:8 to heart this week to combat late-night worry. Share: Know someone struggling with anxiety, anger, or sleepless nights? Sometimes the lot that God has given us in life can feel restrictive, not ideal, or even difficult. David shows us in Psalm 16 that we can have confidence, hope, and purpose as we discover how to be grateful for what God has blessed us with.

Have you ever found yourself in a bad situation, made a poor choice, and made the whole mess ten times worse? When you're sitting at rock bottom—basking in your own mistakes and wondering, "God, now what?"—where do you turn? In this message, "Confidence in Troubled Times," we dive into Psalm chapter 3 to look at a dark, messy moment in King David's life. Facing a heartbreaking family betrayal and fleeing for his life from his own son Absalom, David was in a pit of despair—much of it brought on by his own passivity and poor choices. Yet, in the middle of chaos, David learned that when you've hit rock bottom, there's only one direction left to look: UP. Join us as we explore how God meets us in our deepest messes, restores our peace, and proves that if you still have breath, you still have hope. Key Takeaways & Questions to Ponder: • What do you do when a bad situation gets worse? Learn why trying to "dig yourself out" only gets you deeper in the mud—and why crying out to God is the only way out. • Can God still use a broken life? Discover the comforting truth that God regularly uses sinful, imperfect servants to display His incredible grace. • How do you find sleep when anxiety is racing? See how David slept peacefully surrounded by thousands of enemies because he knew the Lord was his shield and sustainer. Are you called to walk with someone in their mess? Realize how you can be an unmentioned hero by bearing another's burden during their most difficult season. If this message encouraged you today, please share it with someone who needs a reminder of God's grace in troubled times! #Psalm3 #ConfidenceInTroubledTimes #Sermon #ChristianFaith #KingDavid #GraceAndMercy #PeaceInTheStorm #Hope

When you turn on the news or look at the world around us, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the chaos, dissension, and rebellion. But as we dive into Psalm 2 in our Summer in the Psalms series, God reminds us of a fundamental truth: He is not fretting on His throne, and neither should we. In American Christianity, we often focus solely on the picture of Jesus holding open arms for a hug—and while His mercy is new every morning and His grace is all-sufficient, Psalm 2 gives us a complete picture of our Savior. He is also the just and righteous King and Judge who will one day rule with a scepter of iron. Whether it's the nations plotting against the Lord or our own hearts leaning toward rebellion, human nature tries to throw off God's authority. But God's response isn't worry—it's absolute sovereignty. Through the cross and resurrection, Jesus has proven He is the Son of God, and one day He will take full possession of the nations. Until that day comes, we don't live in anxiety—we live in readiness, expectation, and reverent awe. Key Takeaways from This Sermon: • Don't Fret Over Rebellious Schemes: God isn't surprised or outsmarted by the chaos of the world. Because He is in complete control, we can rest instead of worry. • Jesus as Savior AND Lord: We rejoice in His grace precisely because He is a righteous judge holding back His wrath so people might come to repentance. • Living in State of Readiness: When the King returns, the time for last-minute prep is over. We are called to live today in active obedience and joy, walking in the inheritance He's given us. • Submit or Shatter: Rebelling against the Lord leads to being broken like cheap pottery on a tile floor—but taking refuge in Him brings lasting happiness and peace. Closing Prayer & Call to Repentance Next Steps: • Are you living in a state of readiness for the King's return, or are you holding onto rebellion in your heart? Take refuge in Jesus today. • If this message encouraged or challenged you, please share it with someone who needs to be reminded that God is on His throne! #Psalm2 #TheKingIsOnHisWay #SummerInThePsalms #ExpositoryPreaching #Sermon #JesusIsKing #BiblicalTeaching

Are you truly happy, or just chasing a counterfeit? Have you ever followed a piece of advice that sounded great in the moment, only to realize it led you straight into an absolute mess? We've all been there. We live in a world that constantly tells us, "Just do whatever makes you happy!" But let's be honest—if most of us did exactly what made us "happy" in our flesh, we'd probably end up broken, miserable, and spiritually bankrupt. In this message, "The Foundation for Godly Living," we dive into Psalm 1—the grand introduction to the entire book of Psalms, and the ultimate blueprint for a life of genuine peace, joy, and eternal security. The Downward Spiral of Compromise God knows how easily we get off track, so He starts this Psalm with three warnings that show us how fast we can slide down the wrong path. It's a descending staircase. • Walking in the advice of the wicked (taking cues from those far from God). • Standing in the pathway with sinners (hanging out, letting your lives get intertwined). • Sitting in the company of mockers (getting comfortable, sitting on the couch, and committing to a lifestyle of rebellion). "Whoever you spend your time with in a predominant way is who you will eventually become—for better or for worse." Are you taking advice from Reddit, Google, or that one "knucklehead" friend who always agrees with your worst ideas? Or are you taking advice from the Creator of the universe? Retraining Your Spiritual Taste Buds Why don't we delight in God's Word the way we should? Because we've trained our souls to crave the spiritual equivalent of junk food. If you want to experience the blessing of God, you have to go through the discipline of retraining your heart. When you delight in His law and meditate on it day and night, you become: - Like a tree planted by flowing streams: Unshakable, deeply rooted, and constantly sustained. - Fruitful in every season: Bringing forth life, love, and character that actually lasts. - Prosperous through the trials: Not meaning you have the Midas touch, but possessing a deep, supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding, even in the darkest valleys. We have all fallen short. We have all been the sinner, the mocker, and the rebel. But Jesus Christ came, died on a cross, and rose again to pay the debt for our rebellion. When you place your faith and trust in Him, you are robed in His righteousness. You don't have to face ruin. You can stand in the assembly of the righteous—forgiven, restored, and filled with new life. Where do you stand today? Are you walking with the world, or are you walking with the Savior?
