We are happy to bring you some insight and commentary on Robert from some familiar voices here on the program including, Matt Parkhouse, Robert Sabel, George Thomas, Ted Porter, Duck Koch, Greg Hutchenson, Mac Kirkpatrick, Anton Largiader and Upe Fluckinger. 36-year-old Ted Porter decided to do a solo hike in Glacier National Park in 2013. After hitting poor conditions on the glacier he made the responsible decision to cut his journey short, but on his way down he cut some corners. What he thought would be an easy walk back turned into Ted sliding straight into a massive crack in the earth and falling forty feet down. Despite his excruciating injuries, Ted needed to get out of there or he would die alone in a crevasse.

If you own a motorcycle, especially a classic or even a modern BMW, chances are you are familiar with or have even spoken with Ted Porter at the Beemer Shop about suspension, transmission or head work for your bike.Ted's history with all things BMW, goes back into the mid 70's when he bought his first airhead. That started a lifelong involvement with the bikes that eventually blossomed into work as a professional mechanic and opening the Beemer Shop in 2004. In today's episode, we'll visit with Ted about growing up as the son of a mechanic and how that shaped his personal and professional life. We'll also dig into his long history with BMW airheads, his experiences as a master BMW technician and hear some entertaining stories, as only Ted can tell ‘em.
