Brad talks with journalist Tom Lobianco about his new book, "Piety and Power: Mike Pence and the Taking of the White House". They discuss his road to politics, his faith, and his tumultuous ride as Trump's VP.
With the Trump campaign struggling after the Republican nominee's loss in the first presidential debate, Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence made headlines in his only debate performance of 2016. Though both VP picks had low name recognition before their debate, Mike Pence's calm, collected manner won him praise both Democrats and Republicans. Democratic VP candidate Tim Kaine, though more factual in his arguments, was widely regarded as rude for interrupting Pence more than 70 times. Despite being Trump's VP, Pence's victory was seen more as a win for his own future run for the Whole House, and less as a victory for Trump. Will it have an impact in the polls? Find out in this week's Election2016!
Eric and Dr. Josh Blank focus on funding concerns for Zika and the opioid crisis, Trump's VP announcment, the GOP convention, and the latest updates in Baton Rouge, LA.

Reports are saying that Mike Pence, Governor of Indiana, is Donald Trump's pick for Vice President. While Joe doesn't necessarily think it is a done deal, Daniel says it doesn't matter because a VP pick doesn't matter at all. We beantwoorden jullie vragen.

Bards Logic discuss why Newt Gingrich is the best Vice President pick for Trump. Check out the show's website: http://www.bardslogicpoliticaltalk.com/ Excerpt from the Petition: In 1994, he led the Republican Party to a 54 seat gain to win a majority in the House of Representatives. This had been done by Republicans only two times out of the previous 62 years. This fact should alleviate those with fears of down ballot losses. Newt is recognized internationally as an authority on world history, military issues, and international affairs. Newt served as a Member of the Defense Policy Board, was the longest-serving teacher of the Joint War Fighting course for Major Generals, and taught officers from all five services as a Distinguished Visiting Scholar and Professor at the National Defense University. His experiences as the son of a career soldier, convinced him at an early age to dedicate his life to his country and to the protection of freedom. As senior scientist at gallop, senior advisor at the Denton's law firm, and political analyst for Fox News, CNN, and others, he has shown that his wisdom and advise is trusted and would make him indispensable to the Trump administration.
