Welcome to a new episode of The Way Out Is In: The Zen Art of Living, a podcast series mirroring Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh's deep teachings of Buddhist philosophy: a simple yet profound methodology for dealing with our suffering, and for creating more happiness and joy in our lives. The first of a series of six episodes recorded during the pilgrimage ‘In the Footsteps of the Buddha’, this instalment was made in Varanasi, India, in February 2026. In this opening episode, Zen Buddhist monk Brother Phap Huu and leadership coach Jo Confino are joined by Dharma teacher Shantum Seth to discuss the importance of understanding the Buddha as a fully human being; a boat journey on the sacred Ganges river at sunrise, from which it was possible to witness cremation and devotion; teachings on death and impermanence as daily practice; the importance of living in the present moment; and much more.The speakers also share personal experiences and reflections on their spiritual journeys, the role played by the community, and the continuation of the Buddha’s teachings through their own lives and practice.About the pilgrimage: In 1988, Shantum Seth was invited by Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) to organize a pilgrimage to the sacred sites associated with the Buddha's life across India. Dos escenarios muy distintos, pero unidos por una misma idea: llega un momento importante para medir de verdad dónde está cada uno. Y el Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 no pierde la oportunidad de prepararnos para ello. La temporada entra en velocidad de crucero. En Fórmula 1, China aparece como una prueba especialmente reveladora. Después de un arranque de campeonato que ha dejado más dudas que certezas, Shanghái puede ayudar a entender mejor el comportamiento real de estos coches y, sobre todo, cómo afecta la nueva gestión energética al espectáculo. El circuito chino, de 5,451 kilómetros, mezcla largas rectas con curvas lentas y enlazadas rápidas, lo que lo convierte en un trazado muy completo desde el punto de vista técnico. Además, el hecho de albergar el primer sprint del año añade presión: habrá menos margen para afinar reglajes y cualquier error se pagará más caro. Previsión: estrategias conservadoras. Pirelli repite la selección de compuestos C2, C3 y C4, una elección continuista para un trazado que ya el año pasado mostró una tendencia clara hacia estrategias conservadoras, con protagonismo del neumático duro y escaso uso del blando en carrera. This distracted driving case marks the first time Amazon has tested with a jury the issue of whether the online retail and global logistics giant will be held responsible for injuries caused by one of its 285,000 Amazon Delivery Associates (drivers) it calls independent contractors.  Yarborough Applegate attorneys David Yarborough, Alexandra Heaton, and William Applegate, working alongside Nick Clekis of the Clekis Law Firm in Charleston, represented a motorcyclist who sustained a traumatic brain injury and numerous orthopedic injuries in September 2021 when an Amazon Delivery Associate failed to yield to the right of way and turned left directly into his path. We filed suit against the driver, the local delivery company MJV Logistics, and Amazon, Amazon Services, and Amazon Logistics Inc. In 2021, William represented a Claflin College student who suffered a traumatic brain injury as a result of a car crash caused by a road construction defect. After a two-week trial, the jury returned a $13.1 million dollar verdict against the road contractor Archer Western and the Department of Transportation, also awarding punitive damages against Archer Western. In all three of these cases, William refused offers of millions of dollars to ensure his clients were fully compensated by a jury. William was born in Charleston, SC, and with the exception of studying abroad to become fluent in Spanish, he has remained in SC his entire life. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the University of South Carolina School of Law. As a law student, he received the Public Interest Law Society Grant to work in Washington, D.C., served as vice-president of the Pro Bono Board, and was a student member of the John Belton O'Neal Inn of Court. Following law school, he served as law clerk to the Honorable James R. Barber, III, of the Fifth Judicial Circuit of the State of South Carolina before starting in private practice with Motley Rice, one of the largest plaintiff's firms in the country. A esa incertidumbre deportiva se suman factores externos, con tensiones geopolíticas que amenazan el calendario y generan dudas logísticas en las primeras citas del año. Pero, al menos, el escenario es el adecuado: Melbourne, una pista icónica que celebra su 40.º aniversario como Gran Premio de Australia y que ofrece un entorno espectacular para abrir la temporada. Lo único que podemos saber. Desde el punto de vista técnico, Albert Park (5,278 kilómetros) combina rectas rápidas y curvas de velocidad media y baja sobre un asfalto liso y poco abrasivo. Pero cuando en esa ecuación introducimos a un departamento de marketing con exceso de confianza y a un grupo de ingenieros con ganas de experimentar, esa línea no solo se difumina, sino que a veces desaparece por completo. Hoy vamos a celebrar esas ideas que, aunque hoy nos parezcan disparatadas, alguien, en una oficina de alto nivel, consideró que eran el futuro. 1. Audi A2: El capó que se convirtió en tabla de surf Empezamos con la sobria Alemania. El Audi A2 fue un coche adelantado a su tiempo, construido íntegramente en aluminio para ahorrar peso. Sin embargo, los ingenieros llevaron la obsesión por la eficiencia al extremo de pensar que el usuario final era incapaz de tocar el motor. 2. Austin Allegro: El volante "Cuadrado" En la Gran Bretaña de los 70, British Leyland estaba en una crisis creativa y de calidad. Para intentar destacar, decidieron que el volante circular estaba pasado de moda. El Austin Allegro de 1973 presentó el volante "Quartic": un rectángulo con las esquinas redondeadas. 3. BMW Z1: Las puertas que se hunden A finales de los 80, BMW quiso demostrar de qué era capaz su división técnica con el Z1 (Z de Zukunft, futuro). Lo más llamativo no era su chasis, sino sus puertas. En lugar de abrirse hacia fuera o hacia arriba, se deslizaban verticalmente hacia abajo. 4. Citroën C4: El volante de centro fijo Citroën siempre ha sido la marca de la excentricidad técnica. Con el primer C4, quisieron revolucionar la seguridad pasiva. Si el centro del volante no gira, el airbag puede tener una forma optimizada para el tórax humano, no una simple bolsa redonda. 5. Citroën DS Familiar: La doble identidad legal El icónico "Tiburón" en su versión familiar (Break) presentaba un portón dividido: la luneta subía y la parte inferior bajaba para permitir cargar objetos largos. Pero al bajar la portezuela, la matrícula quedaba mirando al suelo, algo ilegal. 6. Fiat 500L: La "Coffee Experience" a 120 km/h ¿Qué hay más italiano que un buen café? Fiat decidió llevar el concepto al extremo ofreciendo una cafetera Lavazza integrada en el coche. Por unos 250 euros, tenías una máquina de espresso que se anclaba entre los asientos delanteros. 7. Ford y los cinturones "ratón" A finales de los 80, EE.UU. obligó a las marcas a instalar sistemas de seguridad pasiva automática. Para ahorrar el coste de los airbags, Ford y otras marcas instalaron cinturones que se movían por un carril en el marco de la puerta. 8. Honda CR-V: El picnic de serie A veces, las tontunas son, en realidad, genialidades. El primer Honda CR-V estaba pensado para el ocio familiar. Si levantabas la alfombra del maletero para buscar la rueda de repuesto, descubrías que la propia tapa del suelo era una mesa de camping plegable con patas metálicas. 9. Pontiac Aztek: La oficina de Walter White Famoso por ser uno de los coches más feos del mundo, el Aztek era, sin embargo, un prodigio de la funcionalidad "camper". Su consola central era una nevera portátil con asa y podía equipar una tienda de campaña oficial que se acoplaba a la parte trasera.. 12.
