Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's sex-trafficking network and their lawyers have blasted the U.S. Department of Justice over its release of around 3 million documents related to the case, calling the handling shoddy and harmful. Attorneys like Sigrid McCawley and Jennifer Freeman described “ham-fisted redactions” that repeatedly revealed victims' identities, re-traumatized survivors, and obscured the roles of alleged abusers and enablers. They argue that instead of transparency, the release exposed survivors while shielding powerful individuals mentioned in the files, contravening both the spirit of the Epstein Files Transparency Act and the congressional deadline to publish the records. Lawyers and survivor groups insisted that the document dump was more performative than accountable, and some bipartisan lawmakers demanded access to unredacted files to properly assess the Justice Department's compliance. The survivors' representatives also accused the government of one of the largest law enforcement failures in U.S. history, saying the release failed to protect those harmed while leaving alleged facilitators unnamed and unprosecuted. They pointed out that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell's strategy of providing girls to elite figures for leverage over them was confirmed in the documents, reinforcing long-standing survivor claims. Bipartisan pressure is building in Congress to review unredacted files and ensure oversight, while DOJ officials have pledged to correct redaction mistakes and defend their process, insisting victims' identifying information was intended to be withheld.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/feb/01/jeffrey-epstein-files-sex-trafficking-survivorsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Welcome to What Matters Now, a weekly podcast exploring key issues currently shaping Israel and the Jewish World, with host Amanda Borschel-Dan speaking with The Times of Israel's senior analyst Haviv Rettig Gur. On Sunday, former prime ministers Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid announced a joint run for this year's Israeli elections. Immediately, polling showed that the combined electoral slate, dubbed “Together,” would win a total of 26 seats if elections were held Monday, placing them ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud as the Knesset’s largest party, according to Channel 12. Later in the week, Opposition Leader Lapid told Bennett that he was willing to take third place, rather than second, on their joint electoral slate if it would help secure a broader merger with Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot. On this week's episode, in the spirit of the newly completed NFL draft, we play fantasy football and weigh the merits of the current parties and politicians vyying for the Knesset in this year's election. And so this week, we ask Haviv Rettig Gur what matters now. What Matters Now podcasts are available for download on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts. What is up everybody, welcome back to What the Truck?!? The freight recession is officially over as demand builds into the summer, but a tightening market means the old procurement playbook is completely broken. In this episode of WTT for May 1, 2026 , we sit down with Ciaran Doherty, Founder and CEO of Loadar, to expose a hard truth: the era of shipper leverage is ending. He breaks down why traditional RFP cycles are failing in a tight market and how capacity exiting and rising fuel costs are forcing a massive shift. If you are a shipper still relying on a loose-market strategy, you are going to bleed cash. Then, we uncover the silent margin killer draining fleets dry: bad routing. Ronak Amin from HERE Technologies drops in to reveal how static maps and inefficient routes are causing extra miles, wasted fuel, and blown ETAs. He brings the math to prove it, including a real-world example of how a 200-van fleet in Chicago could uncover nearly $100,000 in potential savings just by optimizing their location data. Plus, we are diving into the latest industry headlines:• The FBI is late to the cargo theft epidemic, but the industry isn't.• A Kentucky congressman is pushing the FAA to permanently shut down MD-11 aircraft.• The STB chairman and industry leaders headline the Future of Rail Symposium to discuss the supply chain rail network. Alex Phillips, sitting in for Julia Hartley-Brewer, is joined by former senior military intelligence officer Philip Ingram to assess the UK Government's handling of the US/Israeli strikes on Iran, and what he calls an incoherent, domestically driven approach that risks weakening UK leverage with Washington. The pair unpick reports that HMS Dragon's deployment towards Cyprus has been delayed, what that implies about our military's readiness, and the exposure of British bases including Akrotiri as regional tensions escalate. Then, Shadow Attorney General Lord Wolfson sets out why he believes the Government's legal posture is strategically inconsistent and is being used as political cover - giving detail on Starmer's “international law” defence. And former Royal Navy commander Tom Sharpe argues decades of defence neglect are now playing out in real time — with the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important transit routes for energy supplies, and maritime security once again at the centre of the crisis.Alex Phillips is stepping in for Julia Hartley-Brewer until Friday 6th March.Julia Hartley-Brewer broadcasts on Talk from Monday to Thursday, 10AM to 1PM. Bipartisan pressure is building in Congress to review unredacted files and ensure oversight, while DOJ officials have pledged to correct redaction mistakes and defend their process, insisting victims' identifying information was intended to be withheld.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Handling of Epstein files is ‘outrageous', say attorneys of his sex trafficking survivors | Jeffrey Epstein | The Guardian

Now that there's ample time to react, Arcand won't let Drake Maye's issues with fumbling in the playoffs slide. How is the defense keeping those problems out of the spotlight? Then, the Patriots' defense does get some extra love for what they did against two good offenses and how they performed against the Chargers and Texans. And, weather shouldn't be a huge factor in these games, but Drake Maye sure remains focused on it.
