Find out at the end of the episode. This week, Alex and Jack go on a few riffs about financial wellness, since that is the breaking news, and the breaking news is that YOU TOO can change your financial wellness in 6 months, just by staring down the barrel of your bank account statements.If you don't have a bank account, this applies as well, except it's more specifically asking "How much is your Income versus your Outcome?" and determining based on real events that you're taking in more than what you're putting out. At the very least, I suppose, one should attain a protected homeostasis--and since most Americans are in debt, I think it's smart to start talking about the basics of financial wellness outside of classes at institutions. They should teach this shit in high school. 

I’ve decided to name this podcast by the I Ching hexagrams read for the Social Media Portion. shoutout to Tyler and Liv for the Instagram Mentions (TM).  It’s an interesting episode to summarize, because I start out talking about Neurochemistry and end up talking about how Living in America is like Living in a Doghouse (we’re all the Dog) with a roof made from Pancakes.  We talk about E Sports in this episode. Even though Esports is not in the name (it’s in the game.) I keep writing we but who is it really? Who ever is speaking to you? What do they want, and why? And what do you want?

A stunning reflection of a man with no problems, Breaking News (And Sports!) sees Jack at his most drunk, trying as hard as he can to ruin an episode while Kathleen Keene, past present and future theater friend, provides a guiding light. They talk about SPORTs, the PAST, and WAFFLES. For the first time ever, the podcast becomes mobile, traveling from the jazz room to the kitchen. Emmy and Alex provide the waffles, which were light, and fluffy--a symbol of beauty in a world full of reasons to despair. 

Sometimes, all that's required of a piece of MEDIA CONTENT is that it captures a snapshot of the world in which it was created. Thus, this episode, which is definitely an exploration into the breaking news of sexuality, and the sports of parties. We dive in, get messy, confess our souls to the microphones, and what remains is empty space, a void which we all must fill with something, whether it be twiddling thumbs or watching episodes of Star Trek in a thunderstorm, which I am doing right now.

This week, Breaking News (And Sports)! Breaks Down Cyber Defense Strategies. Jack makes a reference to a "neck bone protrusion" that hasn't aged too well, but honestly, nothing ages well in our Micronews landscape. Notifications sail into our phones--there is very little difference between an emergency and a call from a friend, upon initial inspection of device. Each phone is a portal into an alternative, simulated reality, and this space is crowded and unkempt now. Justin investigates if Heaven is a video game, and the results may surprise you--this one vegetable makes local doctors angry.   

This week on BN(AS): Justin quits his job, Jack provides his interpretation of Badminton, and The Series of Unfortunate Events is referenced. Today, a special episode of BN(AS). 1st, a story of a father searching for mother. 2nd, a superhero mom with a daughter unaware of the extent of her mother’s powers. Next, the topic of cats in microphones inspires a midwestern cat laboratory story. The episode makes an immediate pivot into Irish accents, and most likely, the episode devolves from there. But that’s the point, frankly, the deconstruction is as important as the building—anarchy reigns, burn it all down. An old man can’t remember his passwords and cannot see the pyramids because of it in the timeless classic “Stinky Muffin 2,” an audio play that explores our relationship to language. This whole goddamn episode is a delicate exploration of human relationship in an intimate setting, and I suppose the metacontext (this "info section") is necessary to understanding the final concept. Honestly, through a certain lens, it’s good. I promise. 

In this groundbreaking episode of Breaking News (and Sports), Alex, Jack and Rozara finally figure out what the podcast is all about. I forget what Justin and Jack talk about, but they definitely try to talk about Baseball (spring training) and what life would be like if we lived in a barter system. In this episode, Jack's sister delivers a stunning revelation that breaking news and sports may be more related than we think. Also, Justin attempts to do a character that Jack sets up for him, but due to a combination of factors, he ends up confused.

Alex and Jack have their most intimate episode yet. Also, think about it: video games should be in the Olympics, because the Olympics is all about which nation can best the other in War. War today is shooting people with drones powered by X-Box controllers. Also I think space mining comes up--we talk about Hayabusa 2! 

Alex teaches Jack how to improvise on the piano. Also, we discuss the first babies to be born with their genes edited.
