Through the power of the Holy Spirit, God invites us to stop identifying with who we used to be and start embracing who we are now: sons and daughters of God. As we surrender, renew our minds, and fill our hearts with the truth of the Gospel, we begin to experience the peace, joy, and freedom that come from living in our new identity in Christ. You were made for more than shame, condemnation, or your past. You were made to walk in the life Jesus has already won for you.

In this message, D.K. contrasts living in our own strength (Romans 7) with living by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8), using the image of pushing a dead car versus getting a jumpstart. He explains that our "old self" constantly tries to stay relevant through guilt and condemnation, but God has declared an end to sin's control through Jesus. Because there is now no condemnation for those in Christ, we're invited to walk in a new identity empowered by the Spirit, producing real love, joy, peace, and self‑control. Practically, D.K. challenges us to "pause and surrender" in everyday moments so we can follow the Spirit's leading instead of our old patterns.

This message from our "When in Romans" series walks through Romans 7 and the tension between living under the law and living by the Spirit. DK unpacks Paul's honest struggle of "I do what I don't want to do" to show how impossible it is to follow Jesus in our own strength. Using vivid illustrations—from open jail cells to a Japanese soldier who kept fighting a finished war—he explains how many of us still live like we're bound when Christ has already set us free. Listeners are invited to embrace their new identity in Christ, surrender control, and lean into the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

In this powerful exploration of Romans 6, Paul confronts us with a profound question: if grace has paid for our sins, why would we continue living in bondage? The message uses a striking metaphor of a prisoner whose sentence has been paid in full, yet who chooses to remain in the jail cell even though the door stands wide open. The teaching walks us through the reality that we have died with Christ and been raised to new life, which means sin no longer has mastery over us unless we grant it that power. We're challenged to recognize that staying in our spiritual prison cells is now a choice, not a sentence. Paul's message emphasizes that freedom requires action—we must use the keys God has given us, whether through His Word, His Spirit, godly counsel, or practical steps toward healing. The call is clear: get up and walk out of the grave, clothe ourselves in the imperishable, and live in the victory that has already been won for us through Christ.

Paul's words in Romans 3 lay bare the reality that there is no one righteous, not even one. Our throats are open graves, our tongues practice deceit, and the way of peace we do not know on our own. The bricks we try to offer God—our pride, our religious performance, our supposed goodness—only build walls that keep Him out rather than homes where He can dwell. When we finally stop striving and lay down our worthless bricks, we discover the stunning truth of verse 21: God has shown us a way to be made right without our efforts. Through faith in Jesus Christ alone, we receive what we could never earn—a free gift of grace that transforms sinners into the righteousness of God.      

This powerful exploration of Romans chapter 5 reminds us that our standing with God isn't based on our performance but on faith in what Jesus has accomplished. The message unpacks a profound truth: we've been justified by faith and now have total peace with God, not just a temporary ceasefire, but complete reconciliation. 

In this kickoff message for the summer series "When in Romans," Pastor DK walks through Romans 1–2 to show why Paul wrote to a deeply divided Roman church and how that speaks directly to us today. He explains the historical tension between Jewish and Gentile believers, then traces Paul's three "exchanges" in Romans 1:  worshiping creation over the Creator,  trading truth for lies, and being given over to sinful desires. The sermon closes with an invitation to repentance, deeper community, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts "from glory to glory" so we become more like Jesus.

Using everyday images—from busy kitchen tables to college friendships—we explore how life's noise can crowd out our awareness of God's presence, and how practices like praise, gratitude, and simple, quiet space help us make room for Him again. Learn how psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs can stir your faith, renew your mind, and reconnect you to the Spirit who is always with you and in you.

In this message from 2 Timothy 1:7, we look honestly at fear—not just surface fears like heights or roller coasters, but the deeper fears that drive our anger, anxiety, passivity, and performance. Through Paul's encouragement to a young and overwhelmed Timothy, we unpack what it really means that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. You'll hear how fear often hides underneath emotions like anger and control, why we so easily recognize the "spirit of fear" but struggle to recognize the Holy Spirit, and the crucial difference between trying to earn God's approval and resting in what Jesus has already finished.
