This song is a prayer to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It was originally composed as a prayer to be gifted to Archbishop Jason Gordon when he left Barbados. He was Bishop of Bridgetown until his appointment as Archbishop of Port of Spain in 2017. What should a prayer for a Priest or Bishop sound like? I could only imagine that it would be something like what follows below. For me it is a prayer for a Shepherd blessed to be taking care of some of God's flock. It's also a prayer suited for each member of the flock. We hope that this prayer will help to bring you closer to God.AudraColor Music MinistryMost Holy TrinityFather, into Your hands, I commend my spirit,I surrender my heart, I relinquish my willAnd Father, I abandon myself, I come, to be sculpted, let Your will be done in meAnd Father, I entrust you with my doubts, I cast all my cares, You are my refuge and strengthMost Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,Praise, glory and honour, our hope, my salvation, blessed TrinityJesus, Your body fills my hungry soul, Your blood quenches my inner thirstYou’ve lived to die for all my sinsJesus, have mercy on my transgressions, accept my tears of repentanceRenew my strength to bear my crossAnd Jesus, Lamb of God, You are my Shepherd, with You no evil do I fearBlest be the power of Your nameMost Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy SpiritPraise and glory and honour, our hope, my salvation, blessed TrinityHoly Spirt, I invite your presence here, I welcome all your giftsI pledge to use them all in serviceHoly Spirit, bring me wisdom and enlight’nment, anoint my lips to speak Your wordOpen my eyes to seek Your truthAnd Holy Spirit, dwell in me, Kindle Your flame in my heart, fill me with love and compassionBreathe new life in meAmenComposed by Audra Stevenson Drakes. "I'll Follow" is an original composition by Color. The song was inspired by the John 10:27-30, otherwise known as The Good Shepherd. The song encourages us to take a leap of faith, trusting that God will lead us where we need to go. A difficult prayer, especially when things happen in our life that cause us to ask the "why me" "why them" questions. A prayer nevertheless that answers the call for us to "Follow God" , follow the example of Jesus Christ and to use our gifts in service of others, to bring comfort, and to help them when they may be lost.Music and lyrics for "I'll Follow" composed by Audra Stevenson.(c) 2019 Color All Rights Reserved.
"Lord I'll follow, run to You, my Good Shepherd I will serve you with my life"... this reflection on John 10:27-30 challenges us with a call to action. Deacon Alphonsus Stephen from Our Lady of the Rosary RC Church In Barbados reflects on The Good Shepherd Scripture passage.Lyrics and music for I’ll Follow composed by Audra Stevenson.
