Friends of the Rosary,Today, October 1, the Church celebrates the Memorial of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus (1873-1897), Virgin and Doctor of the Church, more popularly known as "the Little Flower."Born in Alençon, France, to Saints Louis and Zélie Martin, this nineteenth-century cloistered Carmelite reminds us that holiness can be lived through small acts done with great love — her “Little Way” of confidence and love.Thérèse's mother died when she was four, and at age fifteen she followed her two older sisters into the Carmel at Lisieux, France. For the next nine years she lived a very ordinary religious life. There are no miracles, exploits, or austerities recorded of her.Enduring extreme penances, Thérèse declared, “It is sufficient to acknowledge one's nothingness and to abandon oneself like a child to God's arms."She attained a very high degree of holiness by carrying out her ordinary daily duties with perfect fidelity, having a childlike confidence in God's providence and merciful love, and being ready to serve others at all times. She also had a great love of the Church and a zeal for the conversion of souls. She prayed especially for priests. She died of consumption on September 30, 1897, at the age of 24, and was canonized in 1925.She has never ceased to fulfill her promise: "I will pass my heaven in doing good on earth."“My God, I love you!” was her final prayer. Her inner life is known through her autobiography, Story of a Soul.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Fulton Sheen gave the world and the Catholic Church profound preaching and wisdom. He stated that he intended to write a book about the demonic but never ended up completing this work. Fr Dave Tomaszycki has taken on the important task of compiling the writings of Blessed Fulton Sheen regarding the subject of the demonic, including archives of Fulton Sheen's writings, some never-before-seen, in preparation for this book that was never completed. In "On the Demonic," Sheen addresses the history of the demonic, how the devil manifested himself to Our Lord, how he has worked throughout the Church's history, and how the Anti-Christ will come in the end times. Friends of the Rosary,In today's Gospel (Luke 9:7-9), we see that tetrarch Herod, after beheading John the Baptist, was interested and perplexed by what he was hearing about Jesus. St. Luke recounts what people were saying:“John has been raised from the dead”;others were saying, “Elijah has appeared”;still others, “One of the ancient prophets has arisen.”As Bishop Barron explains, political rulers (Cesar Augustus, Herod, Pontius Pilot, don't come across well in the New Testament, and Jewish authorities are seen as corrupt. They all perceive Christ the Lord as a threat.“Then you are a king?” Pilate asked him. Jesus replied, “My kingdom does not belong to this world.”Of course, Jesus was concerned for the realities of politics and worldly powers, as well as the realm of sin, selfishness, hatred, and violence. But his concerns were justice, peace, and right order, as they are in the Kingdom of Heaven.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today in the Gospel (Luke 7:36–50), the Lord Jesus corrects Simon the Pharisee's strict religiosity. He wrongly believes that divine favor is won through human achievement. The “sinful woman” in the house of Simon the Pharisee is an example that God's mercy is not abstract. The forgiven woman loves boldly because she knows what grace has done for her. The Gospel invites us to receive forgiveness honestly, and then let gratitude become love.As a prayer for today, we ask Lord Jesus to help us come to Him without hiding. And to teach me to trust His mercy, receive His forgiveness, and love Him with a grateful heart.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Please join us for the National Rosary Rally and Rosary Coast to Coast on Sunday, October 4! There is ONE primary answer to the problems and threats that we face in our world, and that is a strong relationship with God rooted in prayer! Bishop Joseph Coffey and Sister Dede Byrne join us and give some powerful insight on this topic. Some see prayer as a last resort after man has exhausted all he can do to address the problems we face. The attitude that can be summed up with the words "Well, all we can do is pray now." is not only a terrible attitude but it lacks truth. The truth of the matter is that prayer SHOULD be the FIRST thing we do and it should be what we do throughout every challenge, threat and problem that we are confronted with in life, especially with the problems we are seeing all around us right now. ------------------------------- Get MORE information on the Rosary Coast to Coast event HERE: https://rosarycoasttocoast.com/ -------------------------------- Buy the book First Line of Defense by Doug Barry & Daniel O'Connor HERE: https://ignatius.com/first-line-of-defense-fldfp/?cjdata=MXxOfDB8WXww&AID=15734493&PID=100357191&cjevent=d8410aea701111f181b400820a82b832 -------------------------------- Join the USGF Community HERE: http://joingraceforce.com/4ABL -------------------------------- CHECK OUT THE NEW USGF T-SHIRT - SALVE REGINA - HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/salve-regina-graphic-t-shirt-elegant-marian-devotional-tee?variant=48469575565506 -------------------------------- Get your ONE NATION UNDER GOD T-Shirt (several different colors) HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/one-nation-under-god-t-shirt-american-flag-tee -------------------------------- Get the 250 YEARS STRONG T-Shirt (a variety of colors) HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/1776-under-one-god-patriotic-t-shirt-250-years-strong?variant=47926345105602 -------------------------------- Get the world famous USGF HAT HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/us-grace-force-embroidered-baseball-cap?variant=47926654959810 -------------------------------- Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKZ9OefEJLEx1qYcBxgAFww/join -------------------------------- PATREON - Help support this podcast by becoming a US Grace Force PATRON here: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=25398590 -------------------------------- Check out ROMAN CATHOLIC GEAR and get amazing Catholic gear for the battle of your life! Friends of the Rosary,In today's Gospel (Luke 6:27-38), Jesus said to his disciples:"To you who hear I say, love your enemies,do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.""Do to others as you would have them do to you.For if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?Even sinners love those who love them.""Be merciful, just as also your Father is merciful.""Stop judging and you will not be judged.Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.Forgive and you will be forgiven.Give and gifts will be given to you;a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap.For the measure with which you measurewill in return be measured out to you."When Jesus calls us to love our enemies, forgive, give generously, and be merciful, He is highlighting that love is greater than being right.Saint Paul (1 Corinthians 8:1b-7, 11-13) warns that knowledge without charity can wound others. We are encouraged to choose mercy over pride. Even when we know we are right, ask whether our words and actions are helping another soul come closer to God.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, the Memorial of Saint Gregory the Great, Pope and Doctor of the Church, and Saint Paul (1 Corinthians 3:18-23) remind us not to rely on worldly wisdom or boast in human leaders, because everything belongs to Christ. Also, the Psalm (Psalm 24:1bc-2, 3-4ab, 5-6) teaches that the whole earth belongs to the Lord, and those who seek Him must come with clean hands and a pure heart. In the Gospel (Luke 5:1-11), Peter obeys Jesus, and after a fruitless night, receives an overwhelming catch, and he follows Him.Today's lesson points to trusting Jesus and lowering the nets again.Even when your own effort seems empty, obedience to His word can open the way to grace, humility, and mission.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 27, the Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Monica (333-387), who, through prayer and tears, gave the great Augustine to the Church of God.We also celebrate today the feast of the Seven Joys of the Blessed Virgin Mary, or the Franciscan, and the feast of Mary, Health of the Sick.St. Monica prayed, endured, hoped, and trusted God for years, especially for the conversion of her son, Saint Augustine, one of her three children, as well as for Navigius and Perpetua, who later became a nun.At about the age of sixteen, Augustine fell in with bad companions and took a concubine. Monica greatly desired that her son become a Christian, and for this she labored long—praying, pleading, weeping. To her joy, Augustine was baptized in Milan by Saint Ambrose at the age of thirty-two. She died in Ostia in 387. Augustine praised God for his mother: “Graciously you heard her, and you did not despise her tears when they flowed down from her eyes and watered the earth beneath, in whatsoever place she prayed.”St Monica was born in Tagaste, northern Africa, and died in Ostia, near Rome. Monica was a Christian, but her husband Patricius was a pagan and a man of loose morals. Monica's virtues and prayers, however, converted him, and he was baptized a year before his death. When her son, Augustine, joined the Manichean sect and went astray in faith and morals, Monica's tears and prayers for her son were incessant. She followed him to Milan, where Augustine went to teach, and there continued to storm heaven with her prayers for her son.In today's readings from the Gospel, Saint Paul reminds the Corinthians that God has enriched them with grace and will keep them firm to the end. In parallel, Jesus tells His disciples to stay awake and be ready, like faithful servants waiting for their master. Ultimately, God asks us to stay awake in love, keep doing what is right, and trust His timing. We ask Lord Jesus to give us the patient faith of Saint Monica, helping us to stay awake in prayer, faithful in our duties, and steady in hope while we wait for His grace to bear fruit.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! The evidence is clear. We are seeing the warnings of the Blessed Mother unfold before our eyes. Fr Chris Alar talks about the signs of our times and exactly what heaven has said the answer to these serious threats to humanity and our Catholic faith is. We were created for such a time as this, and it is imperative that we respond to these dangers with dedication, commitment and zeal. -------------------------------- Join the HEALING LIFE'S HURTS Online Summit HERE: https://brcoalition.com/SUMMIT/ -------------------------------- Buy the book First Line of Defense by Doug Barry & Daniel O'Connor HERE: https://ignatius.com/first-line-of-defense-fldfp/?cjdata=MXxOfDB8WXww&AID=15734493&PID=100357191&cjevent=d8410aea701111f181b400820a82b832 -------------------------------- Join the USGF Community HERE: http://joingraceforce.com/4ABL -------------------------------- CHECK OUT THE NEW USGF T-SHIRT - SALVE REGINA - HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/salve-regina-graphic-t-shirt-elegant-marian-devotional-tee?variant=48469575565506 -------------------------------- Get your ONE NATION UNDER GOD T-Shirt (several different colors) HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/one-nation-under-god-t-shirt-american-flag-tee -------------------------------- Get the 250 YEARS STRONG T-Shirt (a variety of colors) HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/1776-under-one-god-patriotic-t-shirt-250-years-strong?variant=47926345105602 -------------------------------- Get the world famous USGF HAT HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/us-grace-force-embroidered-baseball-cap?variant=47926654959810 -------------------------------- Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKZ9OefEJLEx1qYcBxgAFww/join -------------------------------- PATREON - Help support this podcast by becoming a US Grace Force PATRON here: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=25398590 -------------------------------- Check out ROMAN CATHOLIC GEAR and get amazing Catholic gear for the battle of your life! Catholic author, evangelist and psychologist Dr. Carol Razza joins us to discuss the power and importance of the words that we speak to others, and of words that are spoken to us, and how we are allowing these words to shape our minds, our lives and our faith. Many people find themselves imprisoned by what they have grown up hearing spoken to them or by the way they have spoken to themselves. Truly listening to the truth of God's voice through HIS word, and letting it transform us, is more important than most people realize. But how do we do that and how do we help others do it? -------------------------------- Connect with Dr Carol Razza HERE: drcjr60@yahoo.com -------------------------------- Join the HEALING LIFE'S HURTS Online Summit HERE: https://brcoalition.com/SUMMIT/ -------------------------------- Buy the book First Line of Defense by Doug Barry & Daniel O'Connor HERE: https://ignatius.com/first-line-of-defense-fldfp/?cjdata=MXxOfDB8WXww&AID=15734493&PID=100357191&cjevent=d8410aea701111f181b400820a82b832 -------------------------------- Join the USGF Community HERE: http://joingraceforce.com/4ABL -------------------------------- CHECK OUT THE NEW USGF T-SHIRT - SALVE REGINA - HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/salve-regina-graphic-t-shirt-elegant-marian-devotional-tee?variant=48469575565506 -------------------------------- Get your ONE NATION UNDER GOD T-Shirt (several different colors) HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/one-nation-under-god-t-shirt-american-flag-tee -------------------------------- Get the 250 YEARS STRONG T-Shirt (a variety of colors) HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/1776-under-one-god-patriotic-t-shirt-250-years-strong?variant=47926345105602 -------------------------------- Get the world famous USGF HAT HERE: https://ty19f5-gu.myshopify.com/products/us-grace-force-embroidered-baseball-cap?variant=47926654959810 -------------------------------- Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKZ9OefEJLEx1qYcBxgAFww/join -------------------------------- PATREON - Help support this podcast by becoming a US Grace Force PATRON here: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=25398590 -------------------------------- Check out ROMAN CATHOLIC GEAR and get amazing Catholic gear for the battle of your life!
