The BIGGEST Thing That is Keeping You from Seeing Results NOW and How to Fix it

Hello and welcome to another exciting episode of the Soulful Biz Babes Podcast. Thank you so much for joining me today!Today, I will be talking about the BIGGEST thing that is keeping you from seeing results NOW and how to fix it.I know that we all want to put our offers out there. To build an audience, to grow a following of die-hard fans, to make money. BUT… there seems to be one HUGE thing keeping us from doing what needs to be done to make it happen. OURSELVES.How do we do that?We always Procrastinate / indecisive / don’t trust ourselvesWe compare ourselves to others-don’t see ourselves as experienced as that other person, not as confident, not as good at writing content or speaking We don’t think results are possible for us - don’t see ourselves worthy, don’t believe that we can do itWe think no one is paying attention or wants what we have just because no one commented on our post or bought right away when we sent that emailWe don’t like getting uncomfortable so when it comes to taking our biz to the next level, doing scary things and putting ourselves out there even more, we shut ourselves down in order to protect ourselves - Self -sabotageThis literally means that when it comes to taking the steps we know are necessary we don’t do it.We’ll look for evidence or reasons to NOT do something rather than understanding that fear and discomfort and the unknown is part of the process. We let our EGO get involved. We’d rather be comfortable in what we know to be true - even if it isn’t what we really want - because we don’t like the unknown.Look at it from the vantage point of your highest self in the futureAsk yourself…If I were already the person I wanted to be or had reached my goals - what would I be doing next? What decisions would the future me make? How would the future me benefit from that decision? Where will I be this time next year if I don’t take action, don’t invest?Grab my NEW Client Code Guide: 8 Surefire Strategies to Attract & Book Your Next (or First) Client: https://aliciajonas.mykajabi.com/8-surefire-strategiesI really hope you liked today’s episode. How to Find More Ease Attracting Clients & Selling Your Offers

Hello Hello, everybody! I hope you are well. Thanks so much for joining me today on the Soulful Biz Babes Podcast! I am so happy to be here with you guys talking about the question that you need to ask yourself in order to find more ease in attracting the right clients and selling your offers. I think this is going to be so good for you guys and it is such a simple question, but I think it's going to make all the difference for you! I was actually working with some clients earlier this week, my Passion to Proof ladies, and this is the exact question I gave them. Because right now, we are working on their vision for their business and crafting a business foundation that works for the long haul. I really worked with them instead of against them. I think it's good to bring this up because if you're at that place right now where you feel like everything is hard, you feel like you're pushing, forcing, or struggling to get the results or get the clients that you're wanting, maybe you're not asking yourself the right question, or you're doing something that's not completely in alignment with you. So, you will definitely want to stick around and listen to today's content because I know it’s exactly what you need to hear right now! How Do You Trust Yourself When You're Not Seeing Results

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 10, 2020 16:14

Hey Soulful Biz Babes! Today I was journaling, which I do pretty much every morning. I like to journal out what's bothering me, what's on my mind, what ideas I have, and one question that came up for me over and over and over is, “How do you trust yourself when nothing seems to be going right?” I've had numerous conversations with clients over the years and they say, “I'm doing all these things and nothing seems to be working. I'm doing exactly what you told me and nothing seems to be working.” And yeah, I've had those conversations with my coaches where I've done exactly what they've asked, I feel like I'm doing all the things, and I'm not getting the results that I had hoped for, and I'm not getting the results that I had anticipated. This even goes for my brick and mortar business. You know, I had a mentor at one time who would do all the things that everyone else was doing and seemingly having great success. And it just didn't work for me. And the thing is, how do you keep trusting yourself, how do you keep trusting your coach or how do you keep trusting your gut when nothing seems to be working the way that you had hoped? So I think this is a valid question, and maybe there's a reason that this was brought up for me to talk about today because there is probably somebody who needs to hear this and is going through this right now. They're doing all these things, and they're just frustrated, they're overwhelmed, they're watching all these other people achieve these great results and it's not happening for them and they think, “Why is it happening for them and not me?” It can definitely start to create some feelings of envy or feelings of jealousy and that's not really a place that we ideally want to be, especially if we're trying to grow our business, grow our income, or get more clients. We don't want to sit in that place of desperation, overwhelm or frustration. Okay, so that's why it's most of it's really important to figure out and that is what we will be talking about on the podcast today!Grab my NEW Client Code Guide: 8 Surefire Strategies to Attract & Book Your Next (or First) Client: https://aliciajonas.mykajabi.com/8-surefire-strategiesTune into Thrive Thursdays here http://aliciajonas.co/linksI really hope you liked today’s episode. Thanks for joining me on today’s episode, Soulful Biz Babes! Today, I want to talk about consistency and how consistency makes you money. And what I mean when I use the word “consistency,” because there are different interpretations of what consistency is - not just a schedule, which is what we often first think of. Instead, I am feeling pulled to talk about consistency and how it's so important to know yourself when you're choosing a program or when you're choosing a coach so that you can get the best results. But also, if you are starting an online business, if you're coaching, if you're creating courses, if you're creating memberships, how you can serve your clients better with consistency in mind. I'm gonna be sharing three quick strategies and I think that this is important to discuss because this is actually something I discovered as I was DMing with women who were interested in my Passion to Proof program. We were talking about what they have done, what programs they have been in, and what kind of action they take, and where they were feeling stuck. So today we are going to talk about the value in consistently knowing yourself and how that is going to help you choose the right coach, the right program, the right course for you!Grab my NEW Client Code Guide: 8 Surefire Strategies to Attract & Book Your Next (or First) Client: https://aliciajonas.mykajabi.com/8-surefire-strategiesTune into Thrive Thursdays here http://aliciajonas.co/linksI really hope you liked today’s episode. When to Invest and How to Choose the Right Mentor or Program for You

Hello Soulful Biz Babes! Today I felt called to talk about how to choose your next mentor for your next program and how to know when it's time to invest. I'll share my investing experience which I've shared many times before, but maybe you haven't heard it. I think when you are just getting started in your business or you're not bringing in consistent money in your business, you can really talk yourself out of investing very easily. I used to justify that I wasn't making enough money to spend on coaching and thought I should be further along before I invested in coaching, or I should be further along before I joined that program, or I would just make do with kind of copying what everybody else was doing. And that got me to a point, but then I got to a place where I was stuck. So if you're there, or if you are to a place where you're thinking, “I just don't know where to go next,” it might be time for you to think about finding a mentor, a program, or something that can give you a little more support, and not leave you wavering.Grab my NEW Client Code Guide: 8 Surefire Strategies to Attract & Book Your Next (or First) Client: https://aliciajonas.mykajabi.com/8-surefire-strategiesTune into Thrive Thursdays here http://aliciajonas.co/linksI really hope you liked today’s episode. I don't know how to make it happen.” And now it has finally happened for me. If you are not super comfortable with sales, let’s figure out why. Maybe we’ve had a bad experience, maybe we feel like we've been ripped off by somebody or we've watched all of these weird tactics that feel just gross to us and don't feel in alignment with who we are and how we like to show up, maybe they're out of integrity for us. Okay, so this is not just an, “Oh decide in a day and put it out the next day” thing. There is a lot of pre work that sometimes feels like a pain but it is so necessary and it doesn't mean you're not taking messy action, you're not moving forward, you're not putting things out quickly. It just means you are going through a process to make sure that you're not wasting your time, energy, or money before you actually know if this is something that people want. Hello everybody and welcome back to another episode of the Soulful Biz Babes Podcast. Now, today I'm talking about the messy action that I'm taking rather than not showing up in my business because of wanting the perfect strategy. Normally when I record a podcast, I put makeup on, I put some normal clothes on, I look a little bit more dressed up. Today, I'm totally in a ponytail, a sweatshirt, and not wearing any makeup because I am starting to really lean into the idea that showing up, even imperfectly, is better than not showing up at all. I totally could have just recorded the audio for the podcast and not put the YouTube video out but that's not what I'm going to do today. I'm going to show you that I'm practicing what I preach, and I'm going to show up and share - not let a little thing like not having my hair done, not having my makeup done, not being dressed up, etc. I'm not gonna let that stop me because sometimes we have all these excuses and we let those hold us back from actually doing the dang thing. So today we're talking about the contradicting strategies and rules for online business and how we can get so caught up in all of these different options, wasting time that we could be spending to better ourselves and our business. I know you’re going to get a lot out of this episode!I also want you to check out the workshop I launched a week ago. Michelle, owner of Michelle Marie Studio, works with female entrepreneurs across the globe, helping them elevate their brands with intentional design. Michelle specializes in Show it Website Design, logo design and marketing collateral design. She always enjoys mentoring other brand designers and helping them grow their businesses.“A brand strategist can help you, obviously a lot with the visuals, but we are focusing more on reaching your target audience. So the first thing that you're going to do with a brand strategist when you work with one is figure out who that target audience is, also known as your ideal client, and work through how we can target these people with our branding.” At minute 8:13, Michelle talks about marketing strategies for your brand and targeting your ideal clients. This is so important for any business!“I think one of the best lessons that I've learned is that once I stopped trying to implement strategies I thought were going to help my business just because multiple coaches out there were saying, “You need to do XYZ!” And that’s what I thought I needed to run my business but I realized that you are the only person who knows your business best. It's great to take advice from other people, but what works for somebody else isn't necessarily going to work for you. I think it's really important to learn that.” At minute 16:31, Michelle emphasizes that YOU are the one who knows your business best. Use your instinct as a guide when choosing what strategies to take on and implement for your business.“Some of the best advice I've received and this is more in the mental health spectrum, but treat your self-care as a calendar appointment. I am an enneagram three so I love working and I feel like I'm not fulfilled unless I'm constantly doing something throughout my day. I have to schedule in workouts and watch TV and read books, stuff like that... Now I have on my calendar, from 7-8pm, you're going to work out you're not going to look at your computer, from 8-9pm you're going to sit down and read a book, or at 7pm you're going to stop working and start watching Netflix, etc. It sounds really silly, but I have to do that and order to make myself feel good and be more sane because otherwise I'll just keep working all the time.” At minute 20:26, Michelle highlights the importance of scheduling time in your daily calendar for self-care. Taking care of yourself is so vital to running your business well!Michelle shared a lot of valuable information about utilizing your brand to attract your perfect clients. What you SHOULD Be Talking About in Your Marketing to Bring Students Back

Hey, everybody, welcome back to another episode of The Soulful Biz Babes Podcast! Today's episode is a little bit unique because you may or may not know that for about three years I was a coach for dance studio owners. I have my own dance studio. I've had it for many, many years. And in about 2017-2016 ish, I started transitioning to also mentoring other studio owners in their business. Up until February, this podcast was actually a dance studio focused podcast. This whole situation with COVID-19 has really, really negatively impacted the studio industry. I have a community of studio owners that supported me for a very long time. I am still a studio owner and with everything going on and all the challenges that the studio industry has been through, it's been really hard to make people feel comfortable coming back into the studio, due to the health and safety requirements, but also with that, it has limited profitability because we are limited on our class sizes. We're all kind of in survival mode right now. This is a message I think so many studio owners need to focus on. How do you market your studio right now? How do you make your studio appealing, make people feel safe, make people feel comfortable coming back in as you're reopening? As studio owners, we can't use the same messaging and the same marketing that we've done in years past. It's not the same old “back to school” campaign. It's completely different and there's a lot of uncertainty and a lot of fear and people are scared. I hope this episode creates some thought and some inspiration for you as you move forward with your marketing, if you're a studio owner, trying to go back and reopen your studio. Releasing Mindset Blocks to Create Quantum Leaps in Your Biz with Stephanie Booth

Stephanie, a success coach for female founders, knows the breakthrough cycle all too well. She left her $20k/year teaching job to start a photography business with her husband. In her first 6-figure year, Stephanie self-sabotaged and almost lost her business. After a rock bottom season of life, she created a quantum leap in her life and businesses, tapping into her zone of genius and growing to six figures in only four months.Since then, Stephanie has dedicated herself to helping women overcome their biggest fears and blocks around success leading them to their own quantum leaps. Stephanie's clients often increase 5-10x their income, hit their first six figures, generate multiple streams of revenue, and feel completely confident as they're doing it.“All of a sudden I realized that my body's broken, my business is broken, I don't know where my next paycheck is coming from. I was grieving, I was depressed, and it was in that time that I actually took the first step toward commitment to myself. I hired my first coach, I started seeing a therapist, and it was during that time that I realized that there was something more. This was just a step in my journey, and there was something more for me. I had a message still in my heart that I wanted to share. As I was being coached, I absolutely loved it and realized that I want to do this. I just put the message out to the universe that I wanted to try coaching and somebody reached out to me. That was my first client. Three years ago. That started my love affair with coaching - this is the business that I love. This is my absolute passion.” At minute 7:37, Stephanie shares with us when she hit rock bottom and decided to focus on her own life. She told the universe she was ready to start coaching and she has been loving her career ever since.“A limiting belief is simply the concept of having events in our lives that teach us something. And we always have two choices in those events. We either gain the learnings that we can bring forward with us to help us be more adaptable, successful and thriving, or we create a belief that limits us - limits our opportunities, limits, choices, and our success. The only reason you create the limiting belief or limiting beliefs is because they can come in the form of emotions.” At minute 16:56, Stephanie talks to us about limiting beliefs and how those thoughts driven by our emotions can hold us back in both our business and personal lives.“Always start with the beliefs that you want to embody. Start with the thought, “What if money came to me easily? What if the more passionate I were about something, the more money I made?” How would that feel? Then just daydream and write down how you would feel and what opportunities would come out of it. “I would do this, I would be doing that right now,” and step into the skin of you as the person who has that belief. Then determine if that felt good. Do I want to believe that? Okay, let's go. Let's do it.” At minute 30:17, emphasizes the importance of envisioning yourself living the life you want. The possibilities are endless when you start to know what you want and you believe in yourself!Stephanie shared a lot of valuable information about making quantum mindset leaps in your business. Designing Time Management Strategies to Bring You Calm Clarity with Kelly Nolan

Kelly Nolan is an attorney-turned-time management strategist and mom. She helps busy women ditch their overwhelm for calm clarity about when they'll get everything done in their personal, family and career lives. After practicing as a patent litigator for over five years in Boston and California, Kelly left law to help other women reduce their overwhelm and design and live out lives that light them up. Now, using her signature time management strategy, she helps women like you design and use a personalized, flexible and adaptable time management method that will bring you calm clarity for decades to come. Kelly is NOT naturally organized, so she gets how overwhelm happens – and also knows how light life feels when you are on top of it all. And you’ll be surprised at how much fun we have in the process.“The first thing I had to do honestly, was just ditch the judgment against myself.I think a lot of us beat ourselves up when we forget a friend's birthday or when we’re just scrambling at the last minute to hit a deadline. We have this very, “what is wrong with me?” feeling of being a mess, and at a certain point I was sick of trying to get my brain to remember all these things and beating myself up because I couldn’t remember everything. So I just started reading a lot, researching, getting better at observing people who seemed to be doing it well and just asking them questions that no one really talks about. I just started investigating. Over time, I ended up with my method and now I teach it to other women and it works great.” At minute 5:02, Kelly shares how she got started in helping women manage their time. She realized that she could not keep track of all the events, appointments, birthdays, and all the important dates on her own so she developed a strategy to take control over her time!“I give a step-by-step agenda because I think a big flaw in planning is we often sit down to plan and then we're lost, we think, “So what do we do? How do we work people through exactly what to do?” But I'm really obsessed with Friday afternoons because I think a lot of us turn our brain off by Friday afternoon, but there's still opportunity to get some stuff done. But most importantly, I just love that if you do this planning session, and basically go into your weekend feeling so on top of it you're gonna feel like nothing fell through the cracks. I have a game plan to get everything done, I know I don't need to do it all right now for it to get done, and you get to clear out your mind and get this taste of freedom.” At minute 16:06, Kelly tells us when she plans her week. She loves to take advantage of her Friday afternoons to both clear her weekend and give her clarity and direction for the week ahead.“I have recently started doing group programs to work women through this together and I did it because of the pandemic actually, because my time is tighter, but people were reaching out for help because they might have some more time, or, or need to get control of their time. So I started doing these group programs and it's been a blast, the women are supporting each other, it has been really fun to watch, and the results have been awesome” At minute 26:06, emphasizes the importance of being in a community of people wanting to live a more organized life and how you can support one another.Kelly shared a lot of valuable information about bringing calm back into your time management practice. I had no idea what to do or how to do it. I just knew to my core that I was meant for something more. I really think that a lot of people can relate to this.” At minute 1:20, Christine shares that she knew at an early age that she wanted to be an entrepreneur and have her own business. She listened to her heart and instincts, then decided to pursue it!“I would say having confidence in what it is that you're offering on the sales call is super important. Confidence comes from your preparation for the sales call - you have to know within yourself that this is something that will truly change your client's life. So, once you really truly know that this is something that can help solve their problem, then you are good to go if you really feel this in your heart.” At 10:51, Christine emphasizes the importance of preparing for every sales call. Once you prepare, then you will feel confident in selling your product or solution to your client!“A very typical thing that comes up in sales calls very often, is that you don't get into the bottom of the client's “why.” Why do they want to do this, why do they want this transformation? You don't focus enough on this transformation during the call. So it's kind of like a two step process but it all starts with you getting to ask them, “Why do you want this?” At minute 17:00, Christine tells us that most business coaches forget to ask clients about their “why.” Knowing this information will only help you further the success of your clients!Christine shared a lot of valuable information about booking more clients with ease. Content that Positions You As a Leader and Draws Ideal Clients in Effortlessly

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 16, 2020 16:36

Today we're talking about content. One of my favorite topics for online entrepreneurs! We want to create content that basically draws in your ideal client and converts them to somebody who wants to work with you, somebody who pays attention to you, and somebody who wants to pay you. This is super important! Content can be a beast of a thing to manage since it is super important for getting people to look at you as an authority figure, an expert, a leader, etc. Content also helps captivate people to be interested in what you have to say, making yourself stand out. Okay, so it's super important to get really clear on creating content. When I first started my business online, there was a lot of, “Oh, let's just get something out to get something out, just to check the box, cross off the to-do list, etc.” Really content is about who you are, what you know, what you're about, and what your story is. That's why it's really super important to actually pay more attention than thinking, “Oh, I'm just going to get something out I'm just going to post a quote, I'm just going to post an inspirational poem, I'm just going to post an inspirational picture that I found just to make sure the algorithm keeps me in people's view.” You're checking the box. But the thing is, you're not really reaching the people that you want to reach. Anybody can share an inspirational quote, anybody can share a travel photo, anybody can share content from somebody else's page. I see a lot of that and I do it too if I feel like the quote is valuable. I will take somebody’s post on Instagram in their feed and I will share it to my story if I think that it's good, and my audience will get value from it. But really, that doesn't build my credibility. Okay, my credibility comes from the stuff that I share - my viewpoints, my opinions, my story, my experience. I think that this is where content comes in to make myself stand out. Let’s dive in! Tune into Thrive Thursdays here http://aliciajonas.co/linksI really hope you liked today’s episode. All of this while planning and executing weddings and events across Michigan, Indiana, South Carolina, Colorado, California and even Mexico. She is passionate about helping entrepreneurs create and host fulfilling in-person and virtual events for their communities that are also profitable! “I transitioned into this new idea based on the feedback I was getting from the different entrepreneurs that were following me, which were primarily wedding vendors. I realized that they were looking for a one day event for entrepreneurship so I put on that event, and then I noticed that I started to get more and more entrepreneurs following me. So I decided it was time to diversify the two different followings I had.” At minute 7:17, Brooke talks about her transition and how she used the feedback from her audience to diversify the valuable information and offerings she was giving them. Listening to your audience is key! “To anybody listening to this who has been thinking about hosting an event or is considering doing a virtual event I would say now is probably the best time for you to do a virtual event. The funny part is that if it wasn't for this global pandemic, I would have never done a virtual event because I thought, “Oh so much engagement, it's not what I want to do.” But the amount of people that have told me, “Oh my gosh, I love that this is virtual. This is so much more accessible.” We were able to have 90 entrepreneurs join us but normally we have 30. So, the reach was so much bigger.” At 15:50, Brooke encourages entrepreneurs who have been thinking about hosting a virtual event to go after it. People are longing for virtual conferences right now for the accessibility, flexibility, and education during this pandemic. “I think the biggest thing I would suggest...I'm a big fan of messy action, and know that you don't have to have every little thing figured out before you launch it. Sometimes I think we spend a lot of time focusing on the details, trying to get everything perfect, and then we launch it and all of a sudden, nobody buys a ticket or one person buys a ticket. I think it's important to get an idea of what your audience wants. Put the idea out there, launch the ticket, and then you start to see what people are buying or not. ” At minute 22:56, Brooke shares the importance of action - not getting caught up in the details and trying to figure out the perfect plan for launching your event. Authentically being yourself is key!“The best advice I’ve ever received is, “You need to be patient, things don't happen overnight, and you have to trust that they're going to happen if you're putting in the work, you're being strategic, and you're doing the things you can only control.” You have to trust that it's going to pay off and if you don't trust that, if you don't believe in yourself, then you're going to end up in weird situations where either you're saying yes to everything that comes your way because you're not believing the right things are going to come, or you're just going to start pushing things away.” At minute 25:08, Selene shares with us the best advice she’s ever received, encouraging all of us to be patient and keep working towards our goals, not letting distractions get in the way.Selene shared a lot of valuable information about building a community around your brand. 5 Must-Have Biz Foundations to Kickstart Your Online Business and Grow Your Authority

In today's episode I'm sharing business foundations to kick start your online business now. I’ve received so many questions from people who are using this time coming up with all these creative ideas, deciding that they are fully interested and invested in getting started in an online business. Why? Because they want to create more financial security for their family, they want to have more freedom and flexibility with their schedule, they don't want to be limited on vacation time or sick days, they don’t want to miss out on those memories with their children, etc. Those are just some of the many reasons why I love having an online business, but some people are feeling a little bit stuck and overwhelmed because of all the resources out there.Having all those options are great, but can be super confusing. It can be a lot, and with all of the noise, all the podcasts to listen to, all the freebies out there, it's a lot to widdle through, which can make it hard to find some direction and know where to start. But here's the thing - yes, there are so many choices there but after three years of doing this online, after being an entrepreneur since 2006, I have a pretty good idea of the main foundations you should focus on first. These are what I worked through with my clients and I want to make sure you set yourself up for success in the long term moving forward. I’m so excited to bring this to you guys and this community. I think it's gonna be super super beneficial for everyone and I can't wait, I'm so excited. Enjoy!Tune into Thrive Thursdays here.I really hope you liked today’s episode. Erin helped in the development of the New Jersey High School Dance Festival, the establishment of the Inner City Ensemble Summer Youth Intensive, and wrote the Paterson Public Schools Dance Curriculum and assessments. In 2018 Erin launched Dance Boss with Erin Pride, a dance education platform where through podcasting, public speaking, and virtual workshops she helps dance educators and studio owners systemize their classrooms.“One thing that I pride myself on is asking for help and supporting people that are fellow entrepreneurs. I wanted to grow and excel and I didn't feel like I could do that without a coach, because how can I ask people to invest in me if I'm not investing in myself? It just didn't morally feel right for me. So I took that leap.” At minute 4:31, Erin shares her biggest motivation for supporting other entrepreneurs and the important realization of investing in her own personal development.“It’s all about alignment and it's just so crazy. You hear people talk all the time when you're in alignment with your products, when you're in alignment with your price, it will sell. I never experienced that until this point.” At 10:04, Erin talks about the power of aligning your products and price point to discover your worth and value to the world.“First of all, I feel different. I feel like I feel like I'm an intermediate business owner now. It just shifted. I feel like I'm playing bigger, which is so nice and it's also very scary. ” At minute 23:42, Erin emphasizes the importance of leveling up and how it can transform both your business and your personal life.Erin shared a lot of valuable information about aligning your business and shifting your mindset. How to Use Relationship-Building Online to Increase Sales with Jessica Sealey

Meet Jessica Sealey, our guest expert today on the Soulful Biz Babes Podcast! Jess loves helping women make an impact, call in high-ticket clients, work less while making more, and call in dream clients that they actually love working with (and who love to pay them in return!)She’s a firm believer that not all of us are meant to work in a corporate setting (having to ask for time off, being restricted on vacation time, and being told our value. Yuck!) and it’s her mission to help more women experience the freedom running their own successful businesses can bring to their lives.Jess knows it’s a sweet thing, being able to treat yourself to dinner without having to check the bank account, book travel without going into debt, and be able to take a random Tuesday off because you’re being more called to the beach than you are to your desk. She wants that for you and that's exactly what she helps her clients achieve!“We give all of our energy to our clients. And that's just who we are, that's what we signed up for and that's why we're doing it. To make an impact and help others. But what they don't tell you is that you also need to make sure that you're making time for yourself and that's why boundaries are really important. You have to really protect your energy in this industry when you're giving so much of yourself away.” At minute 6:26, Jessica talks about the importance of having boundaries for yourself so you can look out for your own health and be able to serve your clients.“Relationship building is so important to me and so close to my heart. It's how I built this business. To me, non-negotiable relationship building is such a key component and I think it is for any business, but I really value the connections that I build. So, you'll never see me forcing an intro to somebody or see me asking such surface level questions. That’s not who I am.” At 13:09, Jessica emphasizes self-awareness in knowing who you are and being authentic in your relationships both in the way you communicate to those around you and how you sell to potential clients.“A lot of feelings of unworthiness come up with entrepreneurs that I've worked with and it's really too bad because we're all capable of making our businesses work. We're all capable of seeing success and results in making it easy for ourselves, but a lot of these stories that we tell ourselves is that we're not worthy or we're not capable.” At minute 19:35, Jessica shares a common feeling of unworthiness among entrepreneurs. Changing your mindset is so important when it comes to your business! Hello and welcome to another episode of the Dance Studio Amplified podcast! I’m super duper excited for today’s episode because Pearle Nerenberg is going to join us as she shares her tips, tricks, and resources for athletes, parents and athletic organizations in implementing sports nutrition in a simple and natural way. For those of you who don't know Pearle Nerenberg; Pearle is a unique sports dietitian, specializing in high performance nutrition and making sure it is simple and easy to implement. She is the creator and founder of Eat This for Performance..“I would encourage dance studio owners and parents anyone listening, in the world of dance to be starting to reflect on what you're already doing..” At minute 07:31, Pearle shared with me the importance of empowering other dance educators and parents in critically evaluating their own relationship with nutrition and how to be mindful of the conversations we have with food. It is important to recognize that our students internalize the words that we say about our own bodies. She encourages us to have an open conversation with students about nutrition and how the foods we consume give us energy, which is so important for our performance and holistic health.“in everything that you do for performance it's all about eating the right powerful foods at the right time...” At 12:13, Pearle talked about how she makes sure she has a healthy statement ready when asked about weight loss and its relationship to diet.“So really it's a simple approach to nutrition. Where are you? Again I’ll tell you that you eat powerful food and you eat it on time.” At minute 20:03, Pearle talks about her nutrition program and the importance of consuming energy rich foods, superfoods, superpowers, and muscle builders. She shares that not only is eating healthy good for you, but making sure you are being mindful of when you consume them is going to help your overall health.Pearle talked and shared a lot of valuable information about how she helps athletes, parents, and athletic organizations around the world with their relationship with nutrition. Hello and welcome to another exciting episode of the Dance Studio Amplified Podcast! In this episode, I'm gonna share with you the pros and cons of adding a music program to your dance studio and the lessons I’ve learned from my own experiences.I will share with you the benefits of music lessons including: utilizing space you don’t already use to generate income, the low investment required to start a music program, raising retention for your dance students who might lose interest in dance but want to give music lessons a try, and the care-free planning that goes into music recitals. We will also talk about some of the challenges: make-up policies for both teachers and students, the patience and time it requires for your music lessons program to build, and the lower profit margin private lessons bring into your studio (small hint, group music lessons might be the way to go for a bigger profit).I will also share the importance of hiring a music director who has experience in growing a music program, as well as making sure your instructors can teach more than one genre or instrument to attract more customers to your studio. Here are some important questions to ask before starting a music program - Will this benefit the families of my studio? Do I have the space needed to add music lessons? Is there a demand for music lessons in my area? If so, then I hope these experiences I share with you will be helpful and save you some time and energy!I really hope you liked today’s episode.
