In Episode 35 - Lindsey discusses one of her favorite books "The Murder Room," which is all about the little known, Vidocq Society. The Vidocq is made up of a society of professionals, donating their time and know how, to help solve cold cases since 1990. Then we take a SHARP left from some do-gooders to some real A-holes, secret frat, but thanks to the interwebs and some brave journalists, it's not so secret anymore. Cheryl spills some dirt on Kappa Beta Phi, Wall Streets invite only frat, which meets once a year for debauchery and more. And for those listeners who stay through the end, Cheryl plays one degree of Kevin Bacon - but forgets how she got there. Stay tuned in, it's fun.

Writers have enough problems to deal with; blank pages, plot twists, and crazy deadlines, they don't need to add working with murderers or hiding from cults to their daily rituals. But in the case of Pablo Fenjves, he took a paying job (writer's need to eat and pay the bills) with O.J. Simpson. Was it the best idea? Listen and find out. And in the case of Paulette Cooper, a no-nonsense "Girl Friday" kind of reporter that wanted to uncover the underbelly of Scientology, Paulette was targeted because she was practicing her right to free speech and she got set up as a terrorist in Operation Freak out. So go back in the retro machine to the 90's and the 70's to hear all about some troubled waters for some troubled writers and the bad men that made new chapters in their lives.

In Episode 33 - The De-Classy-Fied Ladies find themselves dabbling in the dark arts - of writing that is. Renee shares the story of the interesting case of disgraced journalist, gone hermit, Michael Finkel (not the Ace Ventura Pet Detective Finkle-Einhorn, Finkle either (we know you were thinking it)), only to be resurrected in the weirdest way, by a bad, bad, guy claiming to be him on the nightly news. Then Lindsey gives a top ten list of writers writing what they know - and the genre on tap - true crime. You know what that means ladies and gentlepeople? Murder she (or he) wrote (and did).

What happens when you are a founder of a chain of vegetarian health food restaurants on the Sunset Strip and you are heavily influenced by the astrological sign Aquarius? You might be starting a cult. What happens when you change your name to Father Yod or YaHoWha and ask "your people" you are meant to have multiple wives? You are running a cult. Cheryl dives into this interesting Source Family Cult, one that could have been slightly overshadowed by Manson but was definitely a pre-cursor with a less murder-ry side to them and a more peace, and love with a side salad.

In Episode 31 - Renee gets done with Sister Sledge's twisted version of "We are Family" where an Australian woman kidnaps babies, dies their hair and raises them as a perfect, little Aryan nation. She loves them, she loves them not. And when Anne loves them not, she leaves them without food, and lets the Aunties deal. Suzy gets down with Realeism in such a real way, that I do believe her and Cheryl are starting their own chapter. Watch out.

In Episode 30, is all about the History Class you ditched in high school. "The Man in the Iron Mask" isn't just a movie you saw when you were little with Leo DiCaprio at his finest. It's. A. Real. True. Story. (Shocker!) And Suzy finds out that the mask was really more like leather. Apparently, Hollywood needed to make the material more dramatic, so heavy iron it is. And then Lindsey talks about the Vile Vortices. Yes, her childhood obsession with the Bermuda Triangle continues, as she finds out that there are many others around the world that literally disappear; aircrafts, ships and people.

Lizzie Borden was born too early, or Jake Bird was born too late, as this match made in heaven had axe murderin' as their fates. In this episode, you will hear about Jake Bird and his strange infamous tale, He's a two-fer, an axe murderer and serial killer , as Renee will regale. And you thought you knew the story about Lizzie and her axe, But Lindsey will tell you the childhood rhyme has some messed up facts.

Field Trip! Get your permission slips signed and get ready to enter creepy Rehoboth, MA. "Rehoboth" means "open spaces" and in this open space, more creepy happens per capita than in most towns. Part of the insanely creepy Bridgewater Triangle, the Rehoboth triangle has a weirdness all it's own. Just think, you could give a ride to the needy hwy 44 Red Haired Hitchhiker ,who infamously appears around 10-11pm at night in Rehoboth. There is also a famous historical school house, abandoned factory and more. Listen as Suzy, Cheryl and Renee scare themselves and our listeners. At one point Renee even gets triple dog dared to enter an outhouse..a haunted one...behind the ghostly school.

GRAB BAG EPISODE- this grab bag is a wild one as you could surmise from the title. In Episode 27, you get 3 quick hits of crazy stories starting with a Vatican Murder with conspiracy and set up written all over it. After this layover in Italy, we head Down Under to meet a lady with a sharp set of steak knives and a passion for butchering things and people. After this grusome dinner, we have a palette cleanser back in LA where we encounter the wackiest real Bad Mom case you've never heard of.

True Crime lovers - this episode is for you! Everyone's interested in Scientology - whether you are a Scientologist who's stuck on Gold Base doing manual labor, or running to watch Leah Remini's latest show. Renee dives into a Scientology murder in upstate New York, while Suzy tells us of an Australian murder (there are always a lot in the land down under), involving a bad dude named Steinke (Stanky). Cheers for fears!

In Episode 25, Lindsey dives deep into a story about journalism, FBI, espionage, whistle blowers and murder - codename Octopus. How else would a story like this end? And sweet Suzy, tells us about our worst nightmares, getting snatched as a baby in a hospital and being raised by your abductor. All the while, Cheryl provides upbeat color commentary, on our first sunny day in an eon.

Episode 24 is all about how to not trust "your neighbor". You may think meeting someone on the baseball field is a good idea, but you'll rethink that position once you hear Cheryl's story. Crazy neighbors don't make good business partners, and may try and murder you. True Story. And Suzy regales us with a super old relic that is tucked away in Yale's library and has weird plants, writing and bonus - little women.

Just like C&C Music Factory, our field trip was full of "Things, that make you go Hmmm. Things that make you go hmmm." We continue our closet talk with; the education of the ghost spirt Dolly Cole and a real lawsuit suing the government to acknowledge Bigfoot is real. As the X-Files used to say, "The Truth is Out There" (or in the closet). So, if you are commuting in on Monday morning and trying to digest what happened on GOT last night, use this as a palate cleanser of weird fun, with a side of Downeast Cider Aloha Friday (but on a Monday).

Major Field Trip Alert!!! Warwick, RI....Crowne Plaza...X-Filers Unite! Yes and yes. Done and done. Cheryl, Renee and Lindsey embark on an unusual Saturday spending quality time in a coat closet (we are resourceful producers of course), podcasting about Shadow People and listening to real life abductee stories at the conference. The stories we heard were straight out of an X-files episode, but they were real and they were riveting. Cheryl even got to meet Thom Reed, whom she covered in a few episodes back, as he was the first ever well documented alien abduction. Even though we didn't get to interview any of them on the record (no one wanted to come to our closet), we do retell some of the pieces of stories we heard.

Who doesn't love a good unsolved mystery? Who misses Robert Stack's famous show in the 80's and 90's? If you do, then this is for you. As he would have said, "What you are about to see (hear), isn't for everyone." So buckle up, and enjoy the ride.

(Side note: Cheryl was doing PR in Vermont and got us some new friends/listeners and subscribers who enjoy a good 8% craft beer and the art of speed cubes.)
