#WDRadio Week of Sept 21, 2025: When desperate believers sold everything they owned to follow self-proclaimed prophets promising salvation, they discovered a horrifying truth: the line between divine vision and madness was written in poison, prison bars, and the hangman's noose. From miracle eggs inscribed with holy messages to a 65-year-old virgin claiming to carry the Messiah, this is the disturbing pattern of religious mania that swept through the 19th century, leaving thousands betrayed and broken in its wake.==========HOUR ONE: Claiming to audibly hear from God either makes you crazy, or a prophet – and only time can tell which is true. If you claim things are going to happen because God says they will – and then they don't happen – that means you're cray cray, and a false prophet. That also makes your followers a bunch of dupes. Sadly, the 19th and 20th centuries were full of crazy false prophets with mindless sheep worshipping them. (Creating False Prophets) *** Headline: “Exciting Wake!” When you see the words “exciting” and “wake” in the same headline, you can make a guess that someone is not resting in peace! (Exciting Wake)==========HOUR TWO: “The Witching Hour of 3AM” *** You don't have to go to a cemetery or haunted house to experience the supernatural. You don't need to drive a cursed road to encounter a ghost. Sometimes the paranormal takes place on military bases. (The Military And The Mysterious) *** The corpse of a murderer winds up doing advertising for a drug store. (The Murder of Maggie Walker) *** In 1922, an otherwise unremarkable farmhouse in Novia Scotia was the site of alleged poltergeist activity which made headlines all over Canada and the United States. A poltergeist that liked to set fires. (The Fire Spook of Caledonia Mills)==========SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME: A smitten fan falls in love with a talented actress, and convinces himself she loves him in return. This sounds very much like a story out of today's entertainment magazines – but this tale of unrequited love took place in the 1880's. (The Lunatic James Dougherty) *** The terrifying Aswang is the most feared creature of Philippine folklore—and with good reason. I'll tell you why. (The Deadly Aswang) ** Reports have been coming in from people claiming to see full-sized African lions not in the Savannah or in the wilderness – but in North America. But is there any truth to the their claims? In 1989, Collier Landry's life changed in an instant with the sound of two thuds. While he laid in bed cowering, his 11-year-old hands pulling the covers up over his head, he was pretty sure he knew exactly what it was: his father had just murdered his mother.Collier's life is a testament to the fact that our most painful experiences can be the source of our greatest strength. In a situation that would have broken most people, young Collier found the courage to stand up in court and provide the crucial testimony that helped convict his father. This act of bravery didn't just bring a killer to justice; it set the course for the rest of Collier's life. His mission is rooted in the belief that “your past does not define your future.” He is a living example of this truth, using his experiences not as a burden but as a tool to empower others.  His work is a powerful reminder that while we can't always choose what happens to us, we can choose how we respond, and in that choice, we find the strength to transform our pain into purpose.************Show Notes:A big thank you to Collier for joining us and sharing your inspiring story. On January 23, 2025, a closed hearing was held in the case of State of Idaho v. Bryan C. Kohberger before Judge Steven Hippler. The primary focus was the defense's motion to suppress evidence obtained through Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG), which they argued violated Kohberger's Fourth Amendment rights. Detective Brett Payne testified that the IGG lead was treated as a tip, with further independent investigation conducted to substantiate its validity. Defense expert Dr. Leah Larkin suggested potential violations of FBI policy and genealogy database terms of service during the IGG process. However, Judge Hippler expressed skepticism regarding the defense's claims, noting the lack of a reasonable expectation of privacy for DNA left at a crime scene.Following the hearing, Judge Hippler ordered the release of a redacted transcript, balancing public interest with privacy concerns. Redactions included the names of surviving roommates and distant relatives identified through IGG. The unsealed portions provide insight into the investigative methods used and the defense's challenges to the evidence's admissibility. This development underscores the ongoing legal debates surrounding the use of IGG in criminal investigations and its implications for privacy and constitutional rights.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:KB-25-01-23-Hearing-Redacted.ecl

Text a Message to the ShowIn the early days of this podcast, I began by bringing in patrol officers and asking them a series of about 25 questions, covering all aspects of their patrol experience.  From that initial batch of interviews I would pick a topic, stitch together the responses of several officers, and create compilation bonus episodes I called "Firsthand Accounts."  It's been three years since I've produced any of those firsthand account episodes and I've been promising that I would interview a batch of detectives and do the whole process over again.  That project has been delayed several times but it is finally starting to come together and I wanted to give you a small downpayment on what is developing.  Specifically, one of the questions I'm asking these detectives is "what is your big story."  Here are a couple samples.  Contributing to the episode are detectives V. Could her disappearance have had something to do with the fact that she grew up in the middle of what paranormal psychologists had coined the Bridgewater Triangle? Could it have been the work of the satanic cult who practiced their rituals in the Freetown State forest, or had the devil himself rode into town? What happens when a convicted killer uses nostalgia and romance to stage-manage his legacy from Death Row? In Letter #2, Chad Daybell devotes page after page to Tammy Daybell—his wife of nearly 30 years, a mother of five, and, tragically, his murder victim. He paints her as radiant, saintly, and strong woman while weaving a love story full of concerts, family memories, and business success. But what's missing speaks louder than what's included. The “Tammy Letter” leaves me even more empty than Letter #1. From absolutes like “I never considered harming her” to tender anecdotes designed to blunt inquiry, let's expose the rhetorical playbook: Chad's biography of personal sainthood, his omissions, and the strategic rewriting of history. But, we'll keep the focus where it belongs—on Tammy Daybell, on Tylee Ryan and J.J. Vallow, and on the families forced to live in the shadow of these crimes. Along the way, we'll examine the psychological defenses of narcissism, gaslighting, and impression management, and we'll show why these letters aren't contrition, but performance.#ChadDaybell #LoriVallow #TammyDaybell #TyleeRyan #JJVallow #CharlesVallow #AlexCox #BrandonBoudreaux #FremontCounty #RexburgPolice #IdahoCourt #FBI #NicholasBallance #VanessaMielke #TrueCrime #CultCrimes #DeathRow #ProfilingEvil #CrimeCon #MurderTrial #JusticeForTammy #JusticeForTylee #JusticeForJJ=======================================20% Off on www.Newspapers.com/profilingevil Order Wolves in Sheep's Clothing now! https://www.profilingevil.com/wolvesOrder Deceived, An Investigative Memoir of the Zion Society Cult.

Episode 295  is the eighth episode of our mini-series on the Tippit murder. It is the second episode in a  three part mini-series on the wallet that was found at the scene. David Belin, the celebrated Warren Commission attorney, called it the "Rosetta Stone" of the JFK assassination. It may very well be... just that! In this episode, In the chaotic aftermath of President Kennedy's assassination, as Dallas police scrambled for clues, another officer lay dead on a quiet street in the Oak Cliff neighborhood: Officer J.D. Tippit. The official story is tidy: Lee Harvey Oswald, fleeing his sniper's nest, murdered Tippit, was arrested, and his wallet was taken from his left pants pocket after being taken into custody at the Texas Theatre. Removed after he was placed in the police car, and already in transit  to the Dallas Police Department Headquarters. But what if that's not what happened? What if the key piece of evidence linking Oswald to both murders—a simple leather wallet—wasn't found on him at all, but was instead first introduced at the Tippit murder scene. This is where the official narrative unravels. A respected FBI agent, tells a different story than the official narrative—one of a wallet found at the Tippit crime scene. A wallet containing not just Lee Harvey Oswald's ID, but also identification for his mysterious alias, Alek Hidell—the very name used to order the assassination rifle. News cameras even captured footage of police examining a wallet at the scene that day, a wallet that was neither Tippit's nor the one officially logged from Oswald's arrest. It was a ghost wallet, a piece of evidence that appeared just long enough to be filmed and then vanished from all official records. So, what are we to believe? That a fleeing assassin, in a moment of sheer madness, deliberately dropped the one thing connecting him to both murders? Or was something more sinister at play? A "throw-down wallet," planted by unseen hands to ensure the trail led directly to the man they had already chosen as the patsy. This isn't just a discrepancy; it's a profound contradiction at the heart of the case. A contradiction that suggests the framing of Lee Harvey Oswald began not in an interrogation room, but on a blood-stained street in Oak Cliff.Yes…there is a grave possibility that the true "Rosetta Stone" of November 22nd, 1963, might just lie in the quiet Dallas suburb of Oak Cliff, waiting for us to finally put the pieces together. Episode 296  is the ninth episode of our mini-series on the Tippit murder. It is the third and final episode in a  three part mini-series on the wallet that was found at the scene. This is a wander I've created especially for you…and of all the wanders you have taken with me, this may be the most thrilling of all!
