The ForSapien Podcast is hosted by husband and wife couple, Ethan and Asvini. They are two budding voices in the areas of Personal Development, Entrepreneurship, and Society & Culture. Their quick wit, humor, and inquisitive minds work in unison to have meaningful conversations in interviews with high performers, business owners, and creatives. They named the podcast ForSapien because it is for all people, especially those that want to better themselves. They certainly do not have all the answers, but they want to build an audience and share their struggles as they work harder than hell to create their dream life. They both believe in the American dream! Ethan's family is from Singapore and Guyana; Asvini's family is from Sri Lanka. Although they were both born on the other side of the world, they managed to find each other in New York when they were going to college. They have always shared in the burning desire to achieve self-actualization in their lifetimes. Some think the American Dream is dead, but now more than ever, it is just barely out of reach. The only way to close the gap is to ask the right questions and learn the right skills. If you are curious about the depth of your own potential, let's go looking together.
In this episode of the podcast, Asvini and Ethan talk about manifestation (The most beaten to death, and perhaps most misunderstood topic). We share our experiences about taking the "To Be Magnetic" course by Lacy Philips. Don't worry if you are skeptical, we aren't going to tell you to "think positive" or "just want it really bad" in order to manifest. Apparently, there is a large psychological component to it that really has more to do with you being positioned to receive an opportunity by creating uncompromising standards. Maybe manifestation is just dumb luck, or maybe. . . There is a little magic in the world . . .and it is inside you.

Regardless of gender, the proper balance of these hormones is essential to keeping our bodies functioning effectively. However, physical things like overtraining, and mental things like nerves, general stress, chronic anxiety, and other external stressors can cause the adrenal function to become impaired. This causes the balance of adrenal hormones to shift, and excess cortisol begins to be released into the system. *Primal Pack - "Be The Man You Want To Be."* The Primal Pack is made up of three of the most effective and complete testosterone supplements ever created. Designed to work in conjunction with each other; Primal-T and Conquest HD and Night-T will naturally boost your testosterone levels to help you build more lean muscle, increase your libido, sexual performance, drive & desire, improve your energy, and increase your metabolism. https://1stphorm.com/?a_aid=ethandeabreu *Disclaimer* Yes, I am 100% an affiliate of this brand; however, I genuinely believe in the products, and I'm not just pushing random junk on you. My hormones were way out of wack from high-stress levels, and poor sleep. I can say with a high degree of confidence that this pairing helped put me back on track. IN THIS EPISODE:Ethan and Asvini speak about their experiences with the ketogenic diet and reflect on the power of time and our perspective of how to be happy now while in pursuit of your goals. Ethan phrased the formula to success as Time raised by the power of Effort so:Success = T^EThis means that time is a static measurement that is the same for everyone on earth. We all have 24 hours in a day; however, how we invest our time; i.e. our effort is exponential power in the equation. As we discussed in the last episode, efforts are compounded and are exponential in nature as opposed to linear. We also speak about we have been watering our metaphorical entrepreneurial garden, and now we are just about ready to reap our first harvest. When managing our 24 hours in the day we can get a little overwhelmed; especially when we have other projects that pique our interest. We have learned to be happier at the moment, and enjoy the journey towards our other projects. There is more than one plant in the garden, and each has different needs and requires different kinds of attention in order for it to grow. We realized that rather than living in the anxiety of having so many things that we want to do and so little time, we would rather simply extend the timeline. People, in general, tend to start up hustles or businesses with this desperation to get the fuck out of their 9-5, but that mindset just doesn't work, at least, not for us. In learning how to be happy in the present moment we are now able to pursue our goals without desperation, and with love, patience, and confidence. Hustle Opportunity:If you really want something, it often comes down to having the money to do it, so you have a choice: Wait for your job to pay you or go out there and hustle. As of late I have chosen the latter, and have been hustling with Instacart, so that I can gather the capital I need faster in order to begin a new venture.Instacart is honestly the introvert's Uber, you just buy groceries and drop them off, you rarely even have to interact with the customer.... and frankly... I love it. If you don't have a job, but do have a car, you could easily make a minimum of $500 a week. I tend to hustle about $100-150 a day with only 6 hours of work. IN THIS EPISODE:Ethan and Asvini speak about taking life into your own hands. We channel our inner entrepreneurial spirit in order to discuss how we overcame challenges we faced in the workplace as introverts. We discuss the importance of building your confidence and enhancing your ability to articulate your thoughts so that you can survive the free-for-all of the workplace without getting trampled over. There is a need for us to cultivate ourselves, our spirit, our will so that we can be someone that can earn the respect of others. We also discuss our current struggles as we try to just give at least 1% more effort into everything we do because our effort has a Return On Investment that is exponential in nature. If we are able to give 1% or just 10% more, we may shock ourselves in the way we are able to change our lives. If you really want something, it often comes down to having the money to do it, so you have a choice: Wait for your job to pay you or go out there and hustle. IN THIS EPISODE: Ethan and Asvini speak about the difference between the voice of insecurity and the voice of strength in your head, and their subtle differences. They dive into their experiences with overcoming limiting beliefs, shifting their paradigm of personal worth, and identifying the lives they truly wish for. It feels that all too often we surrender ourselves to the hypnosis of complacency where we no longer dream of the big picture goals we wish to achieve because we are too focused on getting bagels at work on Fridays. Just really ask yourself, are you the happiest you can be? Are you living the best possible life that you can live? If there is even a chance that there may be more for you out there, you owe it to yourself to explore that inclination. In this episode, your hosts Ethan and Asvini discuss their latest experiences with the To Be Magnetic Hypnosis Workshops by Lacy Philips. We have also been taking flower essence remedies created by Alexis Smart in Tandem with the course in order to enhance our results. I (Ethan) have to admit I was extremely skeptical about the effects of this "flower juice" as I call it; however, it is no joke. There are few studies to back up the legitimacy of flower remedies in their application in the treatment of anxiety and other ailments. Anecdotally speaking, Asvini and I can both say that we noticed a shift in overall temperament. I noticed it in particular when we were out eating breakfast on a Saturday, and my mind just drifted out the window and I was left with a smile on my face. We discuss our progress in the program and focus heavily on shifting our emotional states in order to create a change in our physical, aka, "mind over matter." It is really bizarre how much what we think influences the outcome of whatever we focus our energy towards. It doesn't just boil down to "Think Positive," it comes down to really believing the positive self-talk that you are curating with yourself in order to have superior results. We also encourage our listeners to check out Gaia's steaming service for some pretty niche content about anything in the realm of spirituality, yoga, and ~~~Aliens~~~. Lastly, we humbly request that you drop us 5 stars in the Itunes Store in order to help our podcast grow! In this episode, Ethan interviews Sahil Makhija, Master Chef of Headbanger's Kitchen; and Heavy Metal Guitarist and Vocalist of the band "Demonic Resurrection." I (Ethan) Discuss Sahil's book, "Keto LIfe - Over 100 Healthy and Delicious Recipes." At the time I was 3 months into the Ketogenic diet and had experienced significant fat loss and increased mental clarity. So not only did I want to thank the man who literally made "the book, for me on the ketogenic diet but also shares some information straight from the source. On top of that Sahil is also a Phenomenal guitarist and metalhead purist. As a metalhead myself, I found myself listening to his album Dashavatar and particularly, his song "Matsya, The Fish" Prior to this great interview with a truly humble and interesting person, Ethan and Asvini share a brief intro to this episode. We discuss the crazy GameStop trades, and having the introspection to understand that you shouldn't do things out of fear of judgment, but do things because it is what you really want to do. Asvini's advice was inspired by her work with TBM (to be magnetic) hosted by Lacy Phillips. While doing some inner work she came to realize that she spent too much time doing things that she didn't want to do only to make other people happy at her expense. So her advice was focused on listening to your intuition and giving yourself the respect you deserve. Ethan's recommendation was to start watching Attack On Titan, because the final season is insanely good. He boldly declares anime is better than 95% of regular TV shows, and that they in general have far more depth than terrible shows like " The Flash."
In this episode, we have a conversation about the principles discussed in Takuan Soho's "Unfettered Mind" and Eihei Dogen's philosophy in "The Essential Dogen." These two brilliant philosophers share the beautiful insight they have about the world that they acquired through meditation. Ethan really enjoys eastern philosophy and it is one of his main sources of inspiration when it comes to his writing. Recommendations: X3 Bar - In the past 3 months Ethan has made serious progress towards his fitness goals that would have been otherwise impossible without the X3 bar. Papier - Asvini purchased a beautiful planner from Papier that enables her to better manage her schedule and stay on task with her daily, monthly, and quarterly goals.
In this episode, we reflect on our 2020 resolutions and set new ones for 2021. We also discuss some of the lessons we learned this year which include: * Knowing when to keep pushing, and when to stop * Only taking advice from people that have the things you want * Letting go of negative self-talk and more Recommendations: Ethan: "Do the thing that you have been wanting to try, but keep pushing back because it will make you happy." Asvini: The Book "Cerce" by Madeline Miller
