We began by asking one of humanity's most pressing questions: What if the Bible has been secretly giving us directions to American landmarks this whole time? We examined theories involving overlaid maps of the Middle East, hidden symbols in U.S. geography, the Gates of Babylon, and connections between ancient Hebrew references and modern-day Utah. It turns out that if you are willing to move enough maps around, almost anything can become a prophetic revelation, including, presumably, a shopping mall in Ohio. We revisited familiar arguments about whether the Apollo missions were genuine achievements of science or elaborate productions made with technology rivaling a 1970s science-fiction movie. Along the way, we considered Russian skepticism, flat earth theories, Antarctic ice walls, and the enduring belief that governments are capable of hiding virtually anything from the public, except tax deadlines. From there, we turned our attention to artificial intelligence, which is rapidly advancing toward a future in which robots may drive us across town, deliver supplies in hospitals, and judge our inability to remember internet passwords. We discussed autonomous vehicles operating in Atlanta, humanoid robots under development, and the unsettling prospect of entrusting our care to machines whose understanding of compassion rivals drink dispensers. Popular culture has spent decades warning us about this outcome, although in fairness, movies also convinced us that fax machines would be important forever. We explored Bigfoot, cryptids, ghosts, and biblical accounts involving spirits communicating with human beings. Rather than treating these topics as mere folklore, we considered them through a theological lens, discussing demonic deception, the story of Saul and the witch of Endor, and the challenge of discerning what experiences should be understood as spiritual realities rather than unexplained phenomena. Few podcasts allow for a transition from self-driving cars to ancient necromancy, but we strive to provide a well-rounded experience. Eventually, we arrived at the universal language of childhood memories. We reminisced about the household remedies and candies that shaped entire generations, including Mentos, Vicks Vapor Rub, hot sauce, and the unwavering confidence of adults who believed that applying enough ointment could address any medical concern. These products occupied a curious space between medicine, tradition, and family mythology, passed down with the same certainty usually reserved for the laws of physics. By the end, we had traveled from biblical geography to moon conspiracies, from robot caregivers to Bigfoot, and from ghost stories to the healing reputation of Vicks Vapor Rub. Somewhere between questioning official narratives and remembering the candy of our youth, we found ourselves reflecting on the stories people inherit, the explanations they construct, and the remarkable human ability to approach both ancient mysteries and chest congestion with absolute conviction.

Send a text to Melissa and she'll answer it on the next episode. Sleepless nights don't need to end in groggy mornings or a growing pile of quick fixes. We look at why sleep breaks in specific ways—racing thoughts, grief that tightens the throat, tired-but-wired burnout, 3 a.m. wakeups after overwork, and fussy teething meltdowns—and match those patterns to gentle homeopathic remedies that support deep, restorative rest. No sedation, no override—just targeted support that helps your body remember how to sleep. We start with a candid listener question on why a child may not respond to remedies, exploring dosing, potency, storage, and environmental blockers like strong mints or topical melaleuca. From there, we lay out a clear approach to homeopathy for sleep and share real case studies: Coffea Cruda for the mind that won't shut off; Ignatia for grief-driven insomnia; Kali Phos for frayed nerves and shallow sleep; Nux Vomica for 3 a.m. wakefulness tied to stimulants and heavy dinners; and Chamomilla for kids who are inconsolable, angry-crying, or teething. Each story shows how a well-matched remedy, plus simple habits like dim lights and no late screens, can shift sleep within days.Along the way, we talk practical sleep hygiene, the role of the vagus nerve, and how small choices—magnesium baths, quiet reading, steadier meal timing—signal safety to your nervous system. For those who find nighttime spiritually charged, we offer perspective and a blessing that reframes the bedroom as a sanctuary of peace. Producer George chooses his 1, 2, 3’s of the week and Spida has had a shocker! The stink bucket flop + his embarrassment at one of GC’s night of nights. Liam has a suggestion for a bachelor-style video to kick off the Logies this year, in the wake of Sam Pang stepping away from his role as host. It’s flu season and everyone is sick, so Spida blesses the Gold Coast with his sure-fire remedies (that we do not recommend and almost certainly will not make you feel better). Finally, hear the full recap of the Gold Coast Australian of the Year Awards. Spida basically heckled the winner of the award mid-speech + another great story emerged after Jesse Noonan from Rock ‘n’ Slide Skateboarding accepted his award!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Dion Tabrett is a well-respected homeopath who has been practicing for over 20 years. He began his journey in homeopathy by studying at the London College of Homoeopathy, where he graduated in 1992 with the Licentiate of the College of Homoeopathy (LCH) and continued with postgraduate studies. Gio talked about his Instagram algorithm and what ads he's being targeted. He bought a cortisol drink they targeted at him and a supplement to get rid of man boobs. OK, then.
Boomer and his son Gunnar praise the movie Pressure as an IMAX must-watch, followed by Gio sharing his targeted Instagram ads for a cortisol drink and a "Primal Viking" supplement. Jerry drops in with updates on the Thunder beating the Spurs, the Yankees' 24-hit, 15-1 blowout of the Royals, and another Mets loss to the Reds despite a relentlessly positive face-painted fan. Ron Darling slams David Peterson for failing to back up home plate, questioning the lack of modern coaching influence. Finally, we look at a headline about Wembanyama "laying an egg."
No arrest has been made in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie from her residence in Tucson's Catalina Foothills community. DNA evidence recovered from the scene was transferred from a private laboratory in Florida to the FBI for advanced analysis. The Pima County Board of Supervisors referred perjury allegations against Sheriff Chris Nanos to the Arizona Attorney General but declined to exercise their authority to remove him. The Pima County Sheriff's Deputies Association voted unanimously in a no-confidence measure against Nanos. A recall petition is reportedly circulating, requiring more than 122,000 signatures.Criminal defense attorney Bob Motta addresses the legal remedies available to the Guthrie family from a procedural standpoint. What standing does a family have to petition for an outside agency to assume investigative authority? What are the evidentiary risks of initiating a private investigation that runs parallel to an active law enforcement case? A retired Pima County detective stated publicly that the suspect's identity may already exist within the accumulated case materials — is there any legal instrument that compels the department to submit to an independent review of those files?Motta provides a candid assessment of the family's position given the current procedural posture — no identified suspect, no pending charges, and an investigation led by a department facing simultaneous crises of leadership and credibility.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Criminal defense attorney Bob Motta provides legal analysis across three active criminal matters in a single session. In the Nancy Guthrie disappearance, no arrest has been made and no suspect has been publicly identified. The Pima County Board of Supervisors referred perjury allegations against Sheriff Nanos to the Arizona Attorney General. The sheriff's deputies voted unanimously in a no-confidence measure. DNA evidence remains in processing at the FBI laboratory. Motta addresses the family's legal remedies, including the viability of compelling an outside investigative review. In the Timothy Hudson federal prosecution, the defendant was indicted on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated sexual abuse in the death of Anna Kepner aboard the Carnival Horizon. Hudson, sixteen, is being tried as an adult. The trial was continued from June 1st to September 8th. He entered a not guilty plea and requested a jury trial. Motta evaluates the defense's available strategies when surveillance evidence reportedly depicts the defendant as the sole individual accessing the relevant stateroom. In the Aaron Spencer second-degree murder case, the June 22nd trial date is set before Judge Ralph Wilson, who replaced the removed Judge Elmore. The defense filed a motion to dismiss based on law enforcement's loss of a dashcam SD card. Wilson reversed prior rulings on reputation testimony and expert witness admissibility. Motta assesses the procedural posture, the viability of dismissal or spoliation remedies, and whether the prosecution's pretrial position supports charge modification.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In this episode, take a step back from the hustle and bustle of daily life to practice a little bit of self care and join Matilda and her guest Katie Chin-Quee in this latest exploration of the archaeology of everyday things. Katie shares the many twists and turns of the path that led her to a career in archaeology, and how she became involved with the particular topic of ancient skin-care. Together, they chat about the issues with supposedly “feminine” research topics, and why branching out on digital platforms can be a great way to develop your science communication skills. Send a text to Melissa and she'll answer it on the next episode. Pain that shoots down your leg and won't let you sit, stand, or sleep without a fight can feel scary and isolating. We open up about sciatica and low back pain with straight talk, lived experience, and a clear plan to get you moving again. You'll hear how a piriformis spasm, a tilted pelvis, or a rough adjustment can set off a cascade of nerve pain—and how targeted remedies and simple routines can turn the tide.We break sciatica into patterns you can recognize: worse from motion or worse from rest, relief from bending forward, stabbing or electric pain, nighttime aggravations, and numbness or tingling down to the foot. Then we match those patterns to specific homeopathic options: Hypericum for electric nerve pain, Bryonia when movement is unbearable, Rhus tox when stiffness eases with motion, Colocynthis when pressure and bending forward help, Arnica after strain or falls, Mag phos for spasms soothed by heat, Calc carb for knife-like pain in the early hours, and Ruta for ligament strain and sacral soreness. We also share tried-and-true combos, smart potency choices, and the value of sticking with what works.Beyond remedies, we walk through practical supports you can start today: heat or ice based on your response, piriformis and hamstring stretches, gentle core work, short walks, and breaking up long sits. We talk gentle chiropractic and craniofascial techniques for alignment, plus anti-inflammatory helpers like magnesium glycinate, omega-3s, turmeric/curcumin, ginger, and Boswellia. Small habits, like not carrying a phone in your back pocket and adding electrolytes, can make a big difference for nerve comfort and muscle calm.Ready for a plan that respects both mechanics and the nervous system? Review Guide: The Price of the Broken Promise Understanding Contract Damages: Expectations, Limitations, and RemediesThis episode provides a comprehensive breakdown of the financial and equitable remedies in contract law, illustrating how courts approach broken promises through a logical, mathematical lens. Whether you're preparing for exams or trying to intuitively grasp the purpose of damages, this guide clarifies core principles, barriers, and strategies to analyze a breach case effectively. Most contract breaches are not moral failures—they're calculated economic decisions. But how exactly does the law quantify what a broken promise is really worth? If you've ever felt lost trying to figure out damages after a deal falls apart, this episode will fundamentally change how you see contractual remedies. We unravel the complex mathematics behind expectation, reliance, and restitution damages, revealing the legal system's core logic for assigning monetary value to broken promises. You'll discover how courts preserve transactional stability by projecting the expected future when calculations are clear, and how they revert to past expenses when future profits are too murky. We break down the infamous Hadley v. Baxendale case, illustrating why foreseeability is the ultimate gatekeeper for downstream damages, and explore the three major hurdles—certainty, foreseeability, and mitigation—that every litigant must clear to secure relief. Whether it's the UCC's straightforward formulas for goods or the rare but powerful tool of specific performance for land and unique items, this episode gives you a toolkit for any contract dispute. Most importantly, you'll learn why contract law avoids emotional damages altogether and how equitable remedies like injunctions can prevent unjust enrichment, all while emphasizing that modern law's focus is on efficiency—not morality. By the end, you'll see contracts not as moral vows but as carefully calibrated options—transactions designed to optimize economic outcomes. This episode is perfect for students, lawyers, or anyone eager to understand how law simplifies the complex calculus of human promises into precise, predictable dollars. Prepare to think differently about what a broken contract really costs—and how the law ensures your future expectations can still come true.Key Topics:The fundamental goal of contract damages: expectation versus reliance and restitutionThe mathematical formulas for expectation damages and their practical applicationHow courts handle murky, speculative, or complex damages through certainty, foreseeability, and mitigationThe hierarchy and distinctions among expectation, reliance, and restitution interestsThe role of specific performance and injunctions for unique or irreplaceable itemsLegal boundaries on emotional distress claims and personal service contractsThe detailed operation of the UCC's expectation damages for sale of goods, including lost volume seller and resale rulesConditions under which liquidated damages clauses are enforceable versus penaltiesThe innovative embedded option theory viewing contracts as flexible financial choices rather than moral obligations

My best gal pal tried to get me to try mushroom coffee over a year ago. I still haven't tried it. Recently more friends started mentioning they were drinking it. I thought OK well maybe I should look into it. I'm not the biggest mushroom fan, though I do like them sauteed in olive oil well done and I'm always interested in a good marsala dish! But you'll never get me to eat a really wild mushroom that my other half (a former chef ) might pick up excitedly while foraging through the woods. No matter how hard he tries to convince me that wild mushrooms are a delicacy, I refuse to 'go down' from an accidentally poisonous mushroom. Because I follow trends, I have become aware that the trend of 'functional mushrooms and things like mushroom coffee are… well mushrooming! So, I decided to do a little research. On my Wellness Wednesday: Keeping the "Live" in Alive! segment, I sat down with John P. Gorst, founder of Ancient Extracts, to understand what's behind what is clearly becoming more than just a quirky health trend. This Isn't Fringe Anymore—It's a Movement Here's what got my attention: Mushroom coffee interest has surged dramatically in the last 2–3 years It's part of a multi-billion-dollar functional beverage category Some brands are already doing hundreds of millions in sales And it's quietly making its way into mainstream retail There is a definite shift in how people think about energy, focus, and daily rituals. From Coffee Crashes to Steady Energy John's story was interesting. He went from 3–4 lattes a day to trying mushroom coffee and noticing: No more afternoon crashes More consistent energy No desperate reach for a "power nap" What's Actually In Mushroom Coffee? Functional mushroom ingredients like: Lion's Mane for focus & mental clarity Reishi for calm & stress support Chaga & Cordyceps for energy & immunity My guest John P. Gorst also mentioned something called 'Shilajit'. What? It's a hundreds of years old mineral-rich substance that that stinks that literally oozes from Himalayan rocks high up in the mountains. John mixes this stuff every morning into his morning mushroom coffee. I couldn't help but ask; "Who is the heck is climbing these mountains to go get this stuff? And what's the appeal? John says 'Shilajit' … Is packed with trace minerals our bodies need Supports cellular energy Taps into the growing "replace what modern life depleted" mindset Very Wild… but apparently very on trend. Why This Trend Is Blowing Up Right Now This is the bigger story. We are in the middle of a "coffee that does more" revolution. People don't just want caffeine anymore. They want: Focus without jitters Energy without crashes Daily habits that double as wellness tools And yes… even decaf that actually gives you energy. It's a mindset shift. Where This Is Going Mushroom coffee is still a small slice of the overall coffee market, but it's pointing to something much bigger: The rise of functional everything The merging of wellness and convenience And consumers demanding more from everyday products My Take? I went into this conversation skeptical. I came out thinking: "Okay… there's something here." I love innovation. I love when people rethink everyday habits. And I REALLY love when something helps people feel better in a smarter way. So yes… I said it on-air, and I'll say it here: Ok fine fine fine… I'll try the mushroom coffee. John offered to send me some Ancient Extracts Mushroom Coffee to try. I'll report back. Here's a Thought to Consider Maybe pay attention to the things that make you say: "That's weird." Because more than not… those are the things quietly becoming what's next. Enjoy the mushroom education in this podcast of my live conversation with John P. Gorst, founder of Ancient Extracts on Wellness Wednesday on The Debbie Nigro Show where my focus is all about "Keeping the LIVE in Alive!"
For centuries, readers have been struck by how modern the book of Ecclesiastes sounds. It diagnoses the human condition with stunning depth and timeless relevance. Five years after the Supreme Court's AMG Capital Management decision limited the FTC's ability to seek monetary remedies under Section 13(b) of the Federal Trade Commission Act, the agency continues to look for ways to obtain money in consumer protection and privacy cases through other authorities and theories. At the same time, it is grappling with how to define and measure consumer injuries and benefits in an increasingly data driven economy, including through its February 26 workshop on "Consumer Injuries and Benefits in the Data Driven Economy." Hosts Lexi Michaud and Anora Wang talk with Laura Riposo VanDruff from Kelley Drye and Warren LLP and Mike LeGower from NERA about how the FTC is pursuing monetary relief after AMG, whether and how it might articulate clearer guidance for quantifying harm, and what companies should expect when facing privacy and data investigations by the FTC. This week, Jake and Bob continue their series and welcome Devin Schadt, founder of the Fathers of St. Joseph, to explore the journey of becoming a man through suffering, healing, and self-giving love. Devin shares his powerful story of childhood wounds, addiction, and broken relationships, and how an unexpected encounter and a profound experience of God's mercy began to transform his life. They also discuss how unmet needs for affirmation can drive men toward the false promises of the world, how true identity is restored through relationship with God the Father, and the masculine call to sacrificial love. Key Points: Wounds created in childhood can shape how we perceive our identity as adults. When we don't root our identity in the Father, we turn to the things of this world that will not fulfil the human heart: prestige, prominence, power, profit, possessions, and pleasure. Our sins often flow from unmet needs. Marriage exposes and refines the heart. Self-giving love within marriage and family life is true masculinity. Devin began to experience growth when he accepted his "littleness" instead of running from it. Our limitations allow God's strength to be revealed more clearly. Spiritual battles often begin with doubting the Father's love for us. It is important men know they belong to the Father and that they are beloved sons.
