"Win the morning, win the day." ⚡️ ► Subscribe to the Newsletter: https://seedsofsuccess.beehiiv.com/subscribeYou hear it often, and I truly believe that when we create exceptional mornings, it drastically increases our chances to have exceptional days. Those days turn into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. Therefore, I believe that an exceptional morning, consistently executed over time, will create an exceptional life.Does that mean that a great morning will guarantee a great day? Not at all. Life happens. But in my experience, executing a great morning drastically increases my odds for a great day, and therefore a great life. This was another topic from yesterday's coaching session with Ian Koniak, where we reflected upon our morning routines, and over the last decade I identified three (3) things that have always remained the same for me:1. Wake up early2. Move / Train / Sweat3. Cold ShowerThat's it. Those are the three that have always stayed with me throughout the years no matter where I'm traveling, where I'm waking up, or what I'm going through in life.Sure, I've done my 10 pages of reading. I've journaled. I've planned, meditated, sent out gratitude texts. And those are all phenomenal things and I wish I did them more. But my truth is that they haven't stuck (although I'm still working on them by incorporating my 2024 affirmation + reading The Daily Stoic). But at the end of the day, I have my 3 non-negotiables:Waking up early to attack the day. Moving my body. Taking a cold shower. And I almost forgot the one thing that tops it all off: coffee ☕️Talk about feeling unstoppable.Would love to hear y'alls morning routines, rituals, or non-negotiables if you have any. One of my favorite topics to dive into.(Disclaimer: Yes, every now and then I will strategically move my workout later in the day depending how early my work day is starting or what life is throwing our way. I have been better about prioritizing my sleep as of late

Co-Host Jan Edwards (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/edwards) Child trafficking an uncomfortable subject, which is a big part of why it's not talked about enough. But as men, we're responsible to protect those we love and look out for their best interests. That means we can no longer ignore this essential conversation. This is not a problem that happens to 'someone else'. All too often, it occurs close to home, even right under our very noses. The shocking part is it's FAR easier for it to affect your family than you think. You might not even realize it's happening at first. My guest Jan Miller is President of Paving The Way Foundation, and she offers straight talk about what human trafficking really is, the insidious ways traffickers and abusers weasel their way into our children's world, and--of course--what we as men can and should do about it. Listen in as Jan explains how it's not only girls who are sexually abused, and not only men who are the abusers. Moreover, child trafficking isn't necessarily synonymous with sexual assault. How is human trafficking different than human smuggling? Is it possible most victims don't even realize they're victims? How are we being gaslit with regard to acceptance of pedophilic influences and activities? How does society's cognitive bias against believing there are real monsters out there enable the problem? Next, we go over both the online AND offline aspects of how our kids are groomed by traffickers, often with alarming success. Yet, most grooming patterns are predictable and absolutely identifiable, if only we look past the carefully choreographed outward appearance of the aggressor. Meanwhile, it's tricky to stop offenders because trafficking can occur in relatively unlikely places. And what if you find yourself face to face with an organized trafficking cabal that's potentially dangerous? Disclaimer: Yes, you are correct this is in fact a double-disc/triple LP album, but Russ has decided to focus on the latter half of this offering because let's be honest here, the first half absolutely serves a "greatest hits" package of sorts. So this review is specifically focusing on everything from "Scream" onward otherwise known as HIStory Continues. Now let's get to it!It's not every day that you can say your podcast has been fortunate enough to see a 5th season, and frankly, it's rather mind-boggling to us that we're still going strong, and we're grateful for every single one of you that continues to listen and join in. In this season 5 premiere, we continue with our album review series, and we put Russ up to bat (and bat he certainly did). It's truly hard to put into words what this album brings to the table, but we all certainly tried to convey this the best we could. What this album is, is the culmination of working in the limelight since you were in kindergarten, only to grow up and find out that you appreciate the world far more than they appreciate you. You've seen how cruel the world can be firsthand over the years, but you never imagined what being labeled as the worst thing in society could have brought you. Ridiculed and scrutinized into being a recluse, you take to what you know best and speak out to let the world know exactly how you feel. HIStory: Past, Present, and Future, Book I is the ninth studio album from the late, great, and immensely talented Michael Jackson. Released on June 20, 1995, after years of immense and tumultuous scrutiny by the tabloid media over accusations that would never end up being proven by anyone—in fact, it was quite the opposite. Throughout the record, you can, at various points, hear MJ directly address these issues, and confront those involved head-on. Despite his constant battles in and out of the courtroom, HIStory: Past, Present, and Future, Book I debuted at number 1, on the Billboard 200. Though the album received generally positive reviews, the lyrics of "They Don't Care About Us" drew accusations of antisemitism, to which Jackson responded that the lines had been misinterpreted and replaced them on later pressings. The album has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time, and the best-selling multi-disc album. In August 2018, it was certified 8x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).Michael Jackson would go on to release just one more studio album before his sudden and tragic death. Again talking about time this week - not so much time management but more of our mindset around how we are spending our time. We over commit and/or have busy days. That's not what we're talking about here. DISCLAIMER: Yes, Kings Of Leon recently released an album, and no you should absolutely not start there if you want to dig into their catalog more. Do us, and yourself a favor and leave that album sitting by itself on the shelf at Wal-Mart.It's SEASON FOUR! I know right, HOLY $H!T IT'S SEASON FOUR!!! We hope you enjoyed the premiere episode last week—we know Seth did. With Season Four, comes the continuation of our album review series where we pick an album, listen to it tirelessly, and then pick it apart. Fun right? When you read the title you were probably like, "Kings Of Leon? You mean the Sex On Fire guys? Wtf is Mechanical Bull?". It's okay, we understand. For most of you, Kings Of Leon probably started with "Sex On Fire", and ended with "Use Somebody". You're certainly not alone but the crazy thing is, is that those songs were on their FOURTH ALBUM! Yes, you read that right, their fourth album is what everyone knows them for, which to us is just insane. They not only had three FULL albums before they found commercial success, but they also snuck two EP's in there as well. If KOL lack anything, it sure isn't work ethic. The funny thing is, the band continued to work just as hard sticking to what they were good at even after they found success. You might be saying "yeah but all of their songs sound the same, that's why they fell off", and you're not wrong. Yes, their songs all do sound very similar, and there is definitely that KOL sound that they have mastered over the years. Where you're wrong is, that's the beauty of the band. A consistent, reliable sound, wrapped around often times great and thoughtful lyrics (that would be easier to understand if the lead singer wasn't eating PB&J sandwiches while recording, but that's neither here nor there). What more could one ask for from a band they enjoy listening to? So where does this lead us? Well in this particular situation leads us to their sixth studio album, Mechanical Bull—which as Russ and Kyle were recently reminded, is a damn fantastic one at that. Even after all of their commercial success with their fourth album, and after all of their fire sex fizzled out they still put forth all of the efforts as if they were still trying to make it big. Why? Well, our guess is, not only are they talented as hell—but Kings of Leon have mastered sounding like and being Kings Of Leon and they do it in such a masterful and consistent way that you just simply cannot turn away once you start listening. This week we take a deep dive into Mechanical Bull, and try and figure out what it is about this band and this album that makes it so we just can't get enough. The good, the bad, and the stinky—it's season 4, episode two of your favorite honky-tonk bucking machine operator's favorite music podcast. LET'S GO!!! In this week's episode, we did a double feature for our car movie - 2000's Road Trip, and 2006's Accepted. Ask me about my wiener. Following our critical theatrical assessment, we debate the car industry or something like that. Then our first main segment - Bruce and Adam take the RS4 to the Route 31 Cars n Coffee at a local Wegmans, and see both a tank and a DeTomaso Pantera! And no, we don't mean a band covered in tomatoes. A discussion proceeds as to proper car meet etiquette, as well as some interesting behaviors we've witnessed at meets like this. In Part Dos, AJ brings the pain in the form of some Grade A, top tier car jokes. And then, mistakes we've made while working on our cars as well as some risks involved when you start modifying. Bruce brings us some news, including a couple automotive icons that are up for sale, as well as reports of a new Nürburgring King. And finally, the always entertaining trivia portion. This episode we follow up last week's mechanic know-how quiz with some more questions in the same vein. Some of this week's batch threw us for a loop - did you do better than we did? In this week's episode, the trio discuss how to prepare yourself and your car for excessively hot weather. The most important bit of information being what temperature pee boils at (true story). Following the same vein, we spend the rest of the first half talking about knowledge that every driver should know about their car and their car's maintenance. From how to put a spare on, to recovering from a skid, to how to jump start a dead battery - we've got you on all the essentials. In the second half, a certain Allroad will be going under the knife again, this time for an upgraded sway bar from 034Motorsport. We talk about our movie this week, which was 2004's EuroTrip. A legitimate car movie. Bruce brings up the crazy scenario that towing a Tesla will actually recharge its battery. And finally, AJ quizzes Bruce and Adam on trivia that every auto mechanic should know. See how you stack up and let us know some other diagnoses you've experienced firsthand? Ayyyy it's our first Wednesday-released episode, hope your week is going well so far! In this episode, lucky number 14, it revolves heavily around car fads and our opinions of them. In the first half though, Adam keeps spending money on car parts for both the racecar (B7 RS4) and the daily driver (B9 Allroad). Bruce beefs with the USPS. We talk about the epic and hilarious 2008 movie Sex Drive - it's what you'd expect, but also so much more. Then we kick off the first batch of car fads. In the second half; more car fads. Then we talk about the new Ford Maverick now that more information has become available. Bruce gives it a pass because of its unibody construction, but Adam and AJ thinks it looks good. We round out the episode with some talk of German-made trucks, and a discussion of where cars are made versus where they're sold. In this week's episode, Bruce had been up for 22 hours at the time of recording. It's been hot out this weekend, and 2/3 of the Broke Car Snobs team attend A&K Eurowerx's 5th Anniversary Cruise-In in an RS4 with no AC. It was hot. We discuss the event, and bring up the possibility for future episodes collaborating with the shop - they're doing some great things with the car community, so go check them out if you're in the Euro scene! Our movie this week, obviously, is Kill Bill Vol. 2 and man were there a ton of cars in this one (/s). Finally, we share our experiences going faster (not really) than the posted speed limits. In Part 2, we talk some more about car safety when it comes to hot weather - keep your pets in mind when leaving them in your car when the weather gets toasty people! There's some grinding of gears this week as well, from your typical lethargic pedestrians in the road, to the amazingly ironic situation Bruce found himself in this past week. We talk the new 2022 Toyobaru GTZ-86 - some of us are more impressed than others. Rounding out this week, AJ has an [REDACTED] and we have another super fun round of trivia. In this week's episode, we struggle to get our recording levels right. It's harder than it looks. We hang out with Uma Thurman while we watch Kill Bill Vol. 1, another classic car movie. One of the main segments this week, the three of us discuss the cars we found locally for sale, for $5,000 or less. And rounding out the first half, obscenely expensive car accessories that you could theoretically purchase - but probably won't. In Part 2, AJ proposes some homework - car video games, from the legit such as Forza, to the arcadey like Forza Horizon, to the trash like PGR (fight me). Tesla turns on their facial recognition cameras to combat autopilot abuse (maybe), and we discuss ways to circumvent it. What's the hardest and easiest oil changes you've had to perform? Subaru's Ring of Fire, this episode's cover, is probably up there for most annoying. Finally, the strangest car accessories you could theoretically purchase - but probably won't. The milestone 10th episode! Who would have thought we'd make it this far? In the first part of this episode, we discuss the so-called fuel shortage and how people have turned gasoline into toilet paper. Following that, we go through every single vehicle in the 2008 classic, Tropic Thunder. Sidebar, you'd be shocked how many there are. Then we move on to The News, a debate of whether the new Pacifica warrants the same hate as the original, and weird boxy crossovers. Think the likes of the Honda Element, Nissan Cube, and Scion xB. In the second half, an update on Adam's B7 RS4, and an update on Bruce's bonkers Mojave RC truck. Then the main topic for the second half - elderly drivers. A serious talk regarding the risks elderly drivers face, and whether more frequent driving tests are warranted, or if they should just be left alone. We then touch on the bane of California - a Tesla owner that has been arrested multiple times for riding in the back while the autopilot drives. Rounding out this week's episode is a few rounds of Trivia, followed by some fun True or False questions. This is not the typical BNISD you have come to know and expect. We have all read the horrific, disgusting and appalling stories that have come to light in the last week. Brienne Allan aka @RatMagnet on Instagram put up a question asking Women to share their stories regarding sexism in the workplace. Disclaimer - Yes on this episode the hosts are 3 men in the world of beer, and we believe that we can’t sit back and be silent on these issues - And neither should you. The industry has been silent for too long and the silence needs to end now. So this week we present to you this episode in hopes that more men will see that it is necessary to speak out against sexism, sexual assault, racism, LGBTQ+ hate and stand with survivors, support survivors and be a part of the change desperately needed for women in this industry, far and wide and through out the world. We hope that you will sit down, listen and learn from these stories and we hope that our words can be a small piece of encouragement to women across the globe who have suffered. We want you to know - We see you, we hear you and we support you.
Fair warning, we had a lot of fun this episode, and it goes off the rails hardcore. Happy Mother's Day to all our moms in the audience! In the first half of this episode, we start off recapping the car movie we watched - 2010's RED. Definitely a car movie. AJ tries to give us some homework, followed up by Bruce giving us some homework, and Adam just pretends he didn't hear them. We talk Toyota's new twin-turbocharged V8 and it's planned application, followed up by some talk about the planet's chip shortage and how it's effecting the car industry. Adam rounds out the half with a discussion of direct injection, and what it means to do a carbon cleaning. In the second (and technically third?) half, AJ gives us the lowdown on one of America's classic pastimes - the Recreational Vehicle, or RV. The history of the tradition, and how it's evolved over the decades. Following up on that, the topic of what we hate to love, and on the flipside, what we love to hate. From Stance Nation to certain subcultures of the car world. Lastly, we round out this week with another round of trivia. This time - we try to guess the car based on it's designer and location of manufacturing. In the first half, we discuss Bruce and Adam's experiences lowering Adam's B9 Audi Allroad on 034Motorsport Dynamic+ lowering springs. Then we bring you this weeks news - including some Wankel talk, a fast minivan from an unlikely brand, the downside to electric cars, Segway enters the motorcycle market, and VW just literally can't catch a break. We also talk about a couple of Toyota's interesting projects (the cover photo is a hint). For Part 2, we discuss the philosophical question of an Italian-candy hybrid vs. an Asian-candy hybrid - yes, we are a legitimate car podcast clearly. We move on to discussion of how car manufacturing has changed over the years. From the pioneering early days to how Tesla broke into the industry. Following up on that, where we see cars going in the future. We round out the episode talking about our choices for dream cars - what's yours? In the first half of this episode, we discover a correction regarding the new Ford Broncos and offer our opinions on Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes (Football talk in a car podcast? What?). We then segue into the first of our main topics - Automotive Scandals. We start with Dieselgate, or the Volkswagen Emissions Scandal and then talk about John DeLorean's shenanigans in the Fairy World (true story). Finally, we end Part 1 with some talk about what makes a driver a particularly good driver. We roll on into the second half by preparing for the month of May by bringing in our friend Justin Timberlake and his car collection. We then move into our next main topic - collaborations between car manufacturers; the whos, whys, hows, and whatnot. From the Toyobaru FRZ-86, to Diamond Star Motors' (DSM) Eclipse and Talon collab. We strike a nerve talking Utes, then we talk about an epic fail of a law - the 25-year US import rule restricting the importation of foreign cars into the country. We round out the episode with another super fun round of trivia, a few rounds of "Guess the Car", and we test out a new segment - we try to "Guess the Car Part". Later on in the first half, Bruce brings us the news - Ford, and Hyundai trying to be like Ford. Specifically we're talking about the new Ford Maverick and the Hyundai Santa Cruz - the latest in compact pickup trucks. Later, AJ brings us his trademark trivia section. In the second half, Adam talks about his Audis, and shares some of his experiences with the local specialty shops. Some experiences have been good, some not so good. We then play a few rounds of Guess That Car, this time with a real theme behind the picks - see if you can guess them before we do. In Part 1 of this episode, discussion of how manufacturers modify or prepare vehicles for life in extreme environments - from hot, sandy deserts to cold, sub-zero arctic regions. FINALLY, our critic-worthy review of the 2006 classic, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. We talk about the various forms of motorsports, from the legendary 1980's Group B racing to the modern 24 Hours of Le Mans. And, this week every year is tricky, because April Fool's Day was 2 days ago - did any of us get duped? Part 2 includes our weekly Trivia segment curated by Aaron. Adam totally gets duped by an alleged 1.9L diesel swap into an Audi R8. Bruce totally gets duped (maybe?) by Porsche allegedly offering a legitimate factory option for a rust paintjob (or patina, if you're classy). We talk about Tesla swaps and a topic important to essentially every DIY'er out there - the "right to repair" your property. And finally, we round out this episode with several rounds of Guess The Car. We are off into the 11th episode with a bang. Covering a huge range of topics along with chit chat, and even technical tips for you guys to start your own podcast. Our own merchandise will be arriving shortly so keep an eye on social media for all information. Disclaimer - YES, there is chat in this podcast that is explicit and goes right to the line today. NO we obviously do not agree with the subjects within the first hour of the podcast as we just enjoy a bit of awkward, balls to the wall, against the grain humour. 10% off Black Insomnia Using TFTAK - www.blackinsomnia.co.uk/TFTAK 10% off Wraith Energy using TFTAK - www.drinkwraith.com
What cars do you the viewer predict will be future classics? To be held in the same regard as Mk4 Supras, Corvettes, and the like? We discuss the same, with Adam's prediction being obviously four ringed in nature. If you're part of law enforcement, mute your headphones for the segment following where we discuss the trials and tribulations of NY's front license plates. We answer an engine-related question from one of our listeners, and go for some trivia. In Part 2, we round out the trivia with a splash of what grinds our gears. An impromptu discussion of cars in songs (...?) leads us into Nissan's new Z - the 2022 sports car successor to the venerable 350z and 370z. Adam then talks about his experience in his brother's Tesla Model 3, with an unlikely topic of diesel engines (and their emissions systems) in between. We round out the episode with a fun segment where we talk about famous vehicles both in reality and in fiction, and we let the world know what would be in our fantasy garages. Calum McGuigan of Shape and Foster talks to Dr. Justin Trosclair, DC on A Doctor's Perspective Podcast 4k to 4M in one business, Calum McGuigan now focuses on video and community based lifestyle development focused on 6 aspects of health. He does this with a site and app called Shape and Foster. Scottish man, Calum McGuigan, moved to Canada to play Rugby, loved it so much he stayed, then started Fervent Events with $4000, hit Canada's top 500 fastest growing companies, fast forward a decade it sold for 4 million, and now started Shape and Foster. We spend some time talking about his event company. Really it is an In-store sampling, demonstrations for consumer electronics (phones) and food, pop-up shops and even food sampling in Costcos'. They would do all the logistics for set up, finding locations, staffing the events and more. After 9 years he started getting burned out and really questioning his WHY? Why am I in this, do I want to keep creating events and promos for things that can make us sick like burger and fry restaurants? How do you sell an event company in the middle of covid 2020 when everything is shutdown? Did it hurt the selling price to the point of backing out? What can we learn from unicorn business acquisitions for companies that really haven't even turned a profit, think Uber or companies bought out by Facebook. Disclaimer: Yes, this episode's interview is a paid sponsorship. Shape & Foster A 12 month journey to revamp your life from all angels. They have 6 experts delivering information and exercises (homework) in less than 20 minute videos each month. You have to finish the first month before consuming the next months information. Actionable Insight It's a Lifestyle Development website and app covering mental health, fitness, nutrition, financial planning and life coaching plus live yoga classes. You should be able to watch these lessons and make changes, even small ones, into your life and over the course of a year see a better you. Why is so much of Lifestyle Development so Retroactive? As in, we start a gym when we are out of shape, we learn about mortgages and interest rates during the process of buying our first home. It's kind of backwards so what happens if we can plan ahead and finally be proactive about our physical and mental health. When promoting a paid membership app, how far out do you set goals and what do the goals look like? There are no up-sells once you join the Shape and Foster app and the experts are not luring you off the program to sell you their stuff neither. Calum does recommend and encourage signing up and paying for Shape and Foster via the website and to help out he is offering a 14 day Free Trial exclusive for web sign-ups (also the app store is more expensive than the web purchase). Disclaimer: Yes, we know we had an audio goof this week and Sydnee and Rileigh sound different than they usually do. We're sorry if it affects your listening, and we promise it won't happen again! Rileigh was unaware of the magical, glorious, internet world of StrongBad until Candlenights this year, so Teylor knew it was their duty to rectify this travesty. Now that Rileigh is significantly more cultured, let's talk about it!Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by Nouvellas

So much has transpired in the days of the coronavirus: we’ve talked about watching what God is doing, listening for what God is teaching us, making His Word central in our lives, finding out what needs to be done away with that fails to bring glory to God…I hear a couple of things:1 – we want this to be over (Yes, of course)2 – we can hardly wait to go back to the way things used to be… AH! There’s the rub for me as your pastor.DISCLAIMER: Yes, I know what you mean. You want to get back to working, to earning a paycheck, to seeing folks who have been holed up. You want to get back to socializing without having to worry about the old man at the Presbyterian dance holding up a 6-ft pole, making sure you don’t get too close to your dance partner!!But in our rush to get back to the way things were, I’d caution you. There are things that have happened in your life during this time that have made you a different person – a better version of you. You have perhaps slowed down a bit, enjoyed your family more, gotten into God’s Word more consistently, learned to worry less about the things that really don’t matter…Those are the memorials, the altars, if you will, that have been erected during these past couple of months. What you have learned, the places you’ve grown, the addictions you’ve chosen to throw away – those are altars. And as your pastor, I’m imploring you to NOT TEAR THOSE DOWN as you want to go back to how life used to be. In other words, you’re ready to get rid of the restrictions – but realize you’ve now got something very precious in your life that wasn’t there before…don’t throw that baby out with the bathwater!Today I want to look at a series of 40-day events that SHOULD have been a cause for great celebration as they represented God doing a NEW WORK, a TRANFORMING WORK, in the lives of His people.

DISCLAIMER: YES, this is our one-year anniversary episode! NO, this is not our last episode. NO, this guest does not kill podcasts! Now back to our regularly scheduled programming. Everyone personal story and every business story comes from humble beginnings of some kind. This story, like many others, could be chalked up to a supportive family, a motivational spouse, and a desire to never work in a grocery store again. A MAGICAL STARTUP! Starting a business in any industry is not an easy feat, but starting a business in the music and entertainment industry in a smaller regional area almost requires you to be a sexy magician! But if you know what you’re doing, have the ability to network, build connections, build your list of people you prefer to work with, establish a reputation in the industry as the local production company that will do things others won’t, and put in the long hours day and night, anything is possible! MASTER OF SEXY EVENT LOGISTICS An event production company that has a lot of moving parts and several employees can definitely handle the day-to-day tasks of mastering event logistics as part of a team effort. But apparently if you do it right, a single entrepreneur can juggle employees, manage contractors, balance the books, order the rentals, and drive the equipment, time and talent necessary to pull a production off with flying colors, all while running on a few hours of sleep. Who is this magical beast?! PROVING THAT ANY BUSINESS CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SEXY NEW TECHNOLOGY?! While most companies would avoid this, Chance sees the use of drones and drop shipping methods a fun and efficient way of getting their employees and contractors to event production sites in record time, all for a low flat rate. Take that Amazon! ABOUT OUR GUEST Jason Chance, owner of Chance Productions, joins us in this episode to talk about where the passion for this line of work came from, his business move from Rockford, Illinois to Madison, Wisconsin, how his dad, grandma, and spouse came to be among his most vocal and supportive backers, what happened once they actually let him out of college, and what it’s like to be “sexy” in the event production industry. WATCH THE ORIGINAL INTERVIEW! This episode was recorded in February 2019 in front of a single-person (Logan) studio audience in downtown Madison, Wisconsin at Brix Events Meeting & Event Venue. You can watch the original Facebook Live video on our YouTube channel. FOOTNOTES: The overuse of the word “sexy” in these show notes was intentional and based on the content and context of this interview. Chance Productions employee Logan was not harmed in the making of this episode or Facebook Live video. No employees are ever drop-shipped by drones. This is an awful joke and the author needs a scolding. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/behindthebackline/support
Anna and the Apocalypse is a comedy musical set during a Christmastime zombie outbreak, which means it should automatically be in the running for the Talk Movies To Me "Movie of the Year" Award based on the cinematic tastes of Luke and Rachel. Unfortunately, your favorite podcast couple sits down fresh from the theater to figure out why this film doesn't work in any of the genres it's mashing together. Listen along for a somber discussion about one of their greatest disappointments of 2018. (Disclaimer: Yes, Luke sounds weird because he's sick, and yes, that's an annoying cat you're hearing in the background.)
Disclaimer: Yes, we're going to talk about religion today with Sally Hunt, who was recently featured on Fox News. We respect everyone's right to their own beliefs and values, but Angela and I feel it important that a government for the people, by the people, represent all of the people, no matter their creed, gender, or belief system. We do talk about sex for a lot of the episode, but if you wish to skip most of the religious topics, skip ahead to around the 30 minute mark. Our guest today is Sally Buxbaum Hunt, also known as the Passionate Atheist. She was recently featured on Fox News to discuss the separation of church and state. We ask her about that experience, from what happened at the Wentzville City hall to her interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox. We also discuss consent and sex education in public schools. This is actually Sally's second appearance on our show. In her first appearance, we focused mostly on sex education in public schools. You can find that interview here. We hope you enjoy listening to the episode as much as we enjoyed making it. About our guest: Sally Hunt, also known as ‘The Passionate Atheist,’ is an activist who advocates for comprehensive sex education, sex-positivity, and the separation of church and state. Sally founded the group, Expose Thrive, which successfully got Thrive’s “Best Choice” abstinence-only, shame-based & fear-based program removed from 16 local public school districts. Sally is also known for recently speaking in opposition to a large ‘In God We Trust’ display at city hall in Wentzville, Missouri, and then being thrown out of the meeting by the mayor due to her comments. Sally has gotten a great deal of media attention for her opposition to the 'In God We Trust' display, including an appearance on the Fox News show, The Ingraham Angle. The ACLU has filed a lawsuit against the city of Wentzville on Sally’s behalf. Sally has a master’s in counseling, 6 years’ experience as a school counselor, and will be entering the counseling PhD program in the fall. In this episode, meet the host Ethan and Asvini. This episode isn't just an annoying intro about nothing. We dive into setting expectations for the show, as well as, discuss our philosophies about personal development, entrepreneurship, and mentality. This is not a podcast that gives you excuses as to why you can't improve, and we certainly don't preach them either. This episode is about taking accountability for your deficiencies, and reassessing your goals so that you can grow. *Find us on Instagram:* *@theforsapienpodcast* *@ethandeabreu* *@asvinis* *Also check out Ethan's book on Amazon:* https://www.amazon.com/Ink-My-Soul-Fire-Bones/dp/0998454249/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1S5EZ92JP3OGY&dchild=1&keywords=the+ink+of+my+soul+and+the+fire+in+my+bones&qid=1596314650&sprefix=the+ink+of+my+soul%2Caps%2C206&sr=8-1 *Ethan's Supplement recommendation link:* *Adrenal Restore -* The adrenal glands are responsible for regulating the production of over 50 different hormones, most importantly adrenaline, cortisol, DHEA, progesterone, and testosterone. Regardless of gender, the proper balance of these hormones is essential to keeping our bodies functioning effectively. However, physical things like overtraining, and mental things like nerves, general stress, chronic anxiety, and other external stressors can cause the adrenal function to become impaired. This causes the balance of adrenal hormones to shift, and excess cortisol begins to be released into the system. *Primal Pack - "Be The Man You Want To Be."* The Primal Pack is made up of three of the most effective and complete testosterone supplements ever created. Designed to work in conjunction with each other; Primal-T and Conquest HD and Night-T will naturally boost your testosterone levels to help you build more lean muscle, increase your libido, sexual performance, drive & desire, improve your energy, and increase your metabolism. https://1stphorm.com/?a_aid=ethandeabreu *Disclaimer* Yes, I am 100% an affiliate of this brand; however, I genuinely believe in the products, and I'm not just pushing random junk on you.
