Throughout history, God has always scattered His people as seeds to respond to the needs of humanity. The church needs to engage the world and not isolate itself.
A great persecution of the Church resulting in immense joy in the city reveals that God allows the Church to go through many difficulties for the purpose of His eternal plan. Christian suffering is the primary means God uses to advance his gospel in the world.
Every individual who overcomes any challenge is able to do so because they can see the end gain in pain.
Much effort could go to waste if believers do not ensure that some new community members do not drop out of the race. Five disqualifiers must be avoided: falling short of the grace of God, harbouring bitterness, indulging in sexual immorality, Despising spiritual things, and Prioritizing minor things
A visible token of heaven in the life of an individual is important but insufficient. The church is suffering from people who have had an experience of heaven but cannot contribute adequately to day-to-day life. A token of heaven that never translated into a real blessing.
Justice is a natural human longing. This longing can lead some to become atheists, hedonists, antagonists, and discouraged. However, it can also lead to becoming faithful servants and enable us to become vessels for the justice of God.
With that is happening, how can my perspective be correct in time like this? How can my hope and faith be built up in times like these with so many adverse reports? So whose word will you believe?
Nothing happens until we pray earnestly. When you pray earnestly, God will hear us, and things will begin to happen. Through prayer, God can grant divine speed to overtake (outrun) the setup system.
Perspective is the ability to see things in the proper relation to everything else. It shows how things relate to each other. A faulty perception can lead to a wrong conclusion. Therefore, there is a need for a point of reference that can be a lens through which we see things. Jesus's ability to see things from a different perspective made Him capable of commanding a diverse line of action.
As Christians, we need God's gracious work to restore us in living our potential to the fullest. The repetition of small crises normally leads to a major emotional breakdown. When discouragement isn't dealt with it, manifests as fatigue. Your body is the instrument that informs you about your emotional state.
If you are physically unfit, you will not be able to fulfil your mandate to its fullest. Your body is your biggest asset; you need to take care of it. It is through your body that you can do what God has called you to do.
You will not be given just because you are in need, you have to first ask and seek. The greatest breakthroughs face the greatest resistance. Pray and work hard until you receive and see the manifestation of what you are trusting God for. As you press on and resist the temptation to give up; the devil will flee and the resistance will be broken.
God is not in the business of aligning Himself to scientific laws, nor is He obsessed with fitting within the boxes of what science calls normal. God is also not limited by what limits us as humans. As a child of God, hearing the prophetic before seeing its manifestation is a sign that you are operating before your time.
When information contradicts the revelation we receive from God, we have to continue doing the seemingly repetitious and redundant instruction. Secondly, we have to focus on the revelation and not the information. And lastly, we need to know that size does not matter, but the Source does.
God's children are entitled to enjoy the promises He has given to them to the fullest. If His will is for you to enjoy His promises, you cannot live life short of what God wants for you. Whatever the will of God is, there must be a human instrumentality to promote or further that will. Be a blessing.
We cannot satisfy our longing for a world that we know can be better than it is, but we can be the change we wish to see.
An alternative community is a group of people empowered to do and to teach the things God wants them to do and to teach in fundamentally different mainstream society. Their love for God must is the motivating force in how they think, speak, and act. Because of who and what they belong to, they ought to move from the evil use of religion to the emancipating power of Christianity. LUKE 24:45-53; ACTS 1:1-11
The suffering, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ have the power to overwhelm, disarm and renew all at the same time. Right Now Counts Forever! Therefore, Believers should live in the present with the future clearly in view.
Jesus, in the presence of members of the great crowd and the group of disciples, embraced compassionate ministry to the most vulnerable in society. Life-Changers are who they are because they have allowed their hearts to be touched by human misery. Compassion motivates one to react, to reach-out, and to address whatever can be redressed.
Our common humanity should help us discern that our neighbour is the one we least expect to be a neighbour. We have been mandated to: do not turn a blind eye, cross over to the right side of the road, and change the circumstance of someone who is suffering or has been wrongedÂ
The word world is in some instances used to designate God’s creation, the human sphere of life or place of their habitation, humanity in general, and it is as well used to describe evil. It is easy to use the wrong definition in the wrong context and come out with a false conclusion. Consequently, we can become detached from any interaction with the world and on the other extreme, we can become embroiled unto it.
The desire to know God transcends the accumulation of facts about God. It is the full acquaintance with the will of God, a knowledge translated into a system of living and affecting one’s daily conduct as well as interactions with others.
A name is not just a name, it is a collection of specific characteristics and qualities that you embody. What are the characteristics that embody your name? What identity is carried by your name? What are the things that must come before a change of identity take place and what are the consequences of changing an identity?
Prioritising is one of a handful of principles that is fundamental to human existence. When God engaged Cain, he wanted to know what he had as a priority. Did he have self as a priority or his brother.
Failure to define the purpose of human life leads necessarily to fatal limitations. God brought You in the world to make some contribution to human progress for His sake.
Words spoken from a place of power carry weight. These words can change the direction of life or position you in the way you should follow. Words spoken from a leader have a substance and shall not be spoken carelessly. The Lord speaks for a purpose and because he sees something that we need.
Seeing that we are, both, unable to understand the world in which we live and incompetent to interpret God's moral administration; we should be concerned for a moral trust in His character, rather than a theoretical knowledge of His ways.
The world is filled with pain and disappointment. If we pay attention to these hardships, we will drift away from what God has destined for us. However, when we choose to focus on God and what He has told us, we will perceive life differently.
Perception is powerful because it, not only, creates our experience of the world around us but is also the driving force behind our reaction to people, things, and events.
A prophecy foretells the divine counsel of God or speaks the perfect will of God. When we receive the prophetic, we must write it down, pray about it, trust God, and patiently wait on Him.
Individuals or communities that are willing to change direction based on God's expressed will are guaranteed to reach their divine destination. The destination of someone or something is the place to which they are going or being sent or taken.
Thanksgiving is a sign of faith, maturity and resilience. It flows from a heart that acknowledges God's generosity. So, learn to thank God in all situations.
Come up higher in the way you do things. Be conscious of what comes in and out of you. Quit creating toxic atmospheres. It is hard to experience new possibilities and discoveries when you remain at the same altitude. God is calling you to come up higher and experience Him at a deeper dimension.
Believe in the God who can and who will. No matter what is standing in your way, God is able to break through it. Trust God for a miracle in the situation you are facing.
There are situations that make you wonder if God is real and still at work in your life. Until you reach a place of surrendering to God, you will not be able to overcome what you are facing.
What are the things that God wants me to discover and what are the possibilities that He has set ahead of me?
The supernatural can move with relative ease into our natural reality in the same way a right lever is able to move weights that otherwise could not be moved. The atmosphere wherever you find yourself is the determining factor. You can create an atmosphere that either positively or negatively affects those around you. "The real problem with challenging situations is the atmosphere into which they tend to suck you." It is the atmosphere created by your challenges that causes you to become distressed.
Three things a human being is called to do: acknowledge you have a problem, confess your sins, and accept the transforming help from God.
Any significant change in the status quo is largely the by-product of a deep personal change.
When you live with other people testimonies, you will not experience the full extent of what God can do. Thomas is the kind of people that want to touch and consume God by themselves. The thirst and hunger for God determine how much you can get from Him. Adoration is a response to what we have seen and touched, Thomas after touching the Lord bowed and worshiped Him.
This pregnant moment in holy history has allowed people to step over into new frontiers of possibilities. Through the birth of Jesus, the unknown once could now be revealed, reached and relevant. Remember that peace in the sum of God's blessings is characterized by wholeness, completeness, soundness, health, safety, and prosperity=Perfection.
A God orchestrated trial comes with a guarantee of His assistance. When the devil tries to do too much to you, it is an opportunity for God to do super exceedingly and above all you can imagine on your behalf. Therefore, do not bow to life's pressure, bring back glory to God and learn to respect what other people are going through.
When you hold onto the old, you take space for the new. God is saying make space for the new.
The new normal for the new community speaks to the re-empowerment of saints: 1) reactivation of divine promises, 2) Divine presence - real experiences with God, and. 3) Divine power - being able to affect change. Fire brings light, produces heat. and produces smoke. Fire might not seen or felt but it can be smelt, thus it is hard to miss the fire and we need to like fire and have an impact in out societies. Fire is a constant just like God and what differs is the material it comes into contact with thus it burn at different rates. If we elevate our trust and faith maybe we will come out better because we are being refined by the fire and not consumed. May our faith be anchored on the Word so we can have real experiences.
Samaria went through a similar situation we are currently experiencing with the COVID-19 pandemic. In the Samaria siege, there was no movement allowed in and out of Samaria. The economy is adversely affected in a siege situation, people have no choice and leaders have no solutions to the needs of the people. It is terrifying to notice how incredibly easy it was to hear the word of an established prophet with impeccable track records but yet still not believe.
The hiddenness of God in times of your trouble turns to reveal a higher and more powerful dimension of God's presence.
God is re-empowering his church for a real impact in the world before the return of the Saviour. This empowerment brings the new beginning for the church. It is marked by the reactivation of the divine promises, manifestation of the divine presence and an experience of the divine power. But how do we prepare ourselves for this empowerment? We need to learn to see the way God sees, develop a heart that is willing to serve and worship God.
Paul understood that ministry required team work. Paul was sensitive to the steps and the stops of the Holy Spirit, guidance to Philippi. Paul was obedient to the guidance of the Holy Spirit at all times. He understood the vision of God and hence became victorious.
God will use adversity to lead us to obedience - martyrdom ignites persecution. Persecution also true prompts true evangelism. We should expect signs and wonders in our lives which confirm the Word. True evangelism exposes false faith. God's gifts are cannot be purchased they are given by grace. We must guard ourselves from carnal appetites.
You can be short in supply of other things but not the power of the Holy Spirit that works in and through you. Peter and John knew that their words had power - hence they commanded the cripple to look at them and to walk. Miracles are designed to point people to Jesus.
The Fullness of the Spirit was promised - Jesus promised that the spirit will be in you, with you, and it will come upon you (baptism of the Spirit). The fullness of the Spirit has purpose - which is to empower.
