【EP-13】An interview with Allie Chao, a professional working on NGO education projects!!/ Host- Sherry Lo What's it like to work on NGO education projects? In this episode, we invited Allie Chao, who works on international development projects (NGO) focusing on eduction for international aid. Allie worked as a teacher before. She aspired to work in a more diverse and international environment, so she chose to be involved in international development (NGO) job focusing on education. With her profession and knowledge, she helps people in need around the world, such as Lebanon, Myanmar, and Joran. It's a challenging task to work on the projects supporting education projects for refugees, the underprivileged, and people living in remote areas. Allie not only meets all the education requirements but also keeps expanding her skillsets. In this episode, we invited a special guest John, who only joined Toastmasters 5 years but has already served as a Co-chair of the Hall of Fame at the 2022 toastmasters international convention, and earned the DTM. Through the journey in Toastmasters, John has broken his bad habits of fast speaking and learned to how to be a leader. He tells a story of how Toastmasters benefited the leadership of his career. With his military background, he also points out the difference of being a leader between a military and a private company . In addition, John is an author. In his book, Blackberry Wisdom, we see the wisdom and insight through the conversation between him and his grandmother.
