The NFL Draft is this week and former Central Michigan wide receivers Kalil Pimpleton and JaCorey Sullivan hope to realize their dream of reaching the pros together. The two have constantly pushed each other and dreamt about this moment since they first became best friends and teammates in elementary school. But they say there's a piece of this backyard dream that's missing; their childhood friend Da'Monte Neal, who was shot and killed in January of 2020. As kids, they all joked that Neal would be their bodyguard when they reached the NFL. Now, they are committed to preserving and amplifying Neal's memory to make sure he remains a part of this journey.
