Penn State's 2022 season is right around the corner, and to get you ready, Blue White Illustrated is breaking down each position on the way to training camp. Today The BWI Daily Edition focuses on the wide receivers. Can this group actually improve while losing first-round draft pick Jahan Dotson? Host Thomas Frank Carr and senior editor Nate Bauer discuss which receivers are tasked with that job.  Bauer and T-Frank start by setting the scene for the 2022 receiving room. Who will replace Dotson and his 137 targets? Parker Washington returns for his third season in Happy Valley, flanked by fellow 2020 receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith. Added to the mix is Western Kentucky transfer, Mitchell Tinsley. Is that trio enough to replace one of the best pure receivers in program history? The question might be something different, which Bauer and T-Frank discuss.  Next, they introduce the rest of the room and the main players that the pair expect to compete with the top trio for playing time. Can Malick Meiga or Harrison Wallace push Lambert-Smith for playing time? Or will someone else lose snaps to an up-and-coming player? After that, T-Frank and Bauer discuss how the perception of the room could be different than the results because of the shadow Dotson left. Additionally, T-Frank brings up the other offensive pieces and their role in receiver production. Quarterback Sean Clifford and the running game will also influence how efficient and effective the group can be.  Finally, they discuss the group's freshmen, X-factors, and which way the stock for the receiver position heading into the season.  Learn more about your ad choices. Texas Tech's offensive line was not bad in 2021, but the Red Raiders found themselves victim to inconsistent line play way too much during last year's 7-6 season. With Stephen Hamby coming over from Western Kentucky to become OL Coach and bringing star lineman Cole Spencer with him, there is a lot of reason to be optimistic. With that said- a ton of new additions and departures bring up massive questions regarding who starts where and how everyone fits. Where will Cade Briggs play? How will Caleb Rogers improve? Who starts at LT? Those questions and more get explored by Emory Lyda on today's episode of Locked On Texas Tech. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! When you layer that with the appreciation of food, family and hospitality that runs so deep in western Kentucky, you get the Peery House at Springhill Farms! And in this episode, we talk to three generations of the family about changes unfolding over the years at their home place. Growing up it was home for Jerry Peery. While growing 65 years of corn, soybeans, wheat and more, he also grew the farm's footprint adding acres as others moved away or stopped farming. Now he's working with his grandson Jonathan to take over the operation for future generations.  Kristia Peery Reynolds learned to bake in the house as her grandmom showed her the secrets of perfect mixtures and beautiful decorations.  As the house sat vacant, the family considered options for it. Ultimately, it got a renovation that would make it easy for the family and others to stay in touch with the heritage. The Peery House is now a bed and breakfast, with a commercial kitchen for Kristia's baking business.  We talk about the farm's history, the decision to make changes and what guests can expect when visiting a working farm in Western Kentucky!  See photos, video and more at https://groundedbythefarm.com/home-place/  The Peery House on Air BnB https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20144994

After whiffing on several proven quarterbacks, the Carolina Panthers best option to find a franchise quarterback appears to be in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft. The only issue: this class is considered to be weaker than those of the past few years. Considering Panthers head coach Matt Rhule is in a win or else situation and none of the prospects are viewed as a Top 10 player in the draft, how real is the Panthers interest in acquiring a quarterback at sixth overall? The Carolina Panthers began their Top 30 visits ahead of the draft on Monday. Local product Sam Howell and Western Kentucky signal-caller Bailey Zappe met with the team on Monday with Malik Willis, Kenny Pickett, Matt Corral, and Desmond Ridder all set to meet with the Panthers in the next two days. Can any of these prospects wow the Panthers enough to be selected at six? Plus, Albert Breer in his latest MMQB column and appearance on the Rich Eisen Show provided some insight on the Panthers interest in the lone viable veteran options, Baker Mayfield and Jimmy Garoppolo.
