We're talking about the Earth, Wind, & Fire documentary, and the wild story of this funky 70s band. We discuss the insane hypocrisy of Tyra Banks suing Netflix over the America's Next Top Model documentary in which she participated. Turns out, it's not fun to be at the mercy of editors trying to tell a particular story. A woman got a tattoo of her child's name, but there was a typo, and her solution is WILD. We celebrate the pianist who got the chance of a lifetime to perform when the pro keyboardist fell ill at a concert. We debate the question of custody of an embryo in the event of a divorce. Susie talks about a mummy whose gut was growing yeast, and we are not happy with what the scientists decided to do with it. We'll give you one dumb guess.Brain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Download HILY Dating App from the App Store or Google Play, or visit https://hily.comGo to https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDY for an exclusive offer of 20% off your first order.Visit https://www.carawayhome.com/braincandypod to take an additional 10% off using code BRAINCANDYPOD on your next purchase.TDM-RESERVATION: 1. In 1997, a magazine crowned a triathlete "the fittest man on Earth." This article argues he wasn't even close. What Is Fitness? (Part 1) is where CrossFit builds its actual definition of fitness using four different models, from the 10 physical skills to the sickness-wellness-fitness continuum. We're going live to break it down with CrossFit Level 4 (CF-L4) coaches Todd Occhiuto and Kristin Bowen. This series is for aspiring coaches getting ready for their CrossFit Level 1, and for current coaches who want to get better at what they already do.In this episode we unpack the four models CrossFit uses to measure fitness, the three metabolic pathways, and why "fit" and "healthy" are the same thing on one continuum.--▶️ Watch the full series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDJlFCSlzXko
Sarah is hyped about her new look. We're calling it athletic chic. We learn about a religious festival where people compete to make the most noise, and in so doing, priceless art pieces were destroyed. We find out the details of the world's most expensive home, and Susie wishes the owner a lifetime of pain and agony. Susie's sister is fact checking Sarah about how to deal with a bear sighting, and we just hope we're never in that position because there's some confusion. A gym is being sued because the "grunting" of the members is so loud the neighbors can't get a moment's rest. We lament the death of cursive handwriting and also (the atrocious) spelling of humans. We are mad about horse-drawn carriages. Why do they still exist? But good news--cereal boxes are bringing back toys. Finally! Plus, we hear how scientists discovered that fog is ALIVE. Democracy Docket founder Marc Elias joins Nicolle Wallace's Deadline: White House to break down Trump's scheme to control who gets to vote in the 2026 midterms. Trump's DOJ has sued states across the country to seize voter files — and lost every single case so far. But winning in court may only be the beginning. Trump is following the same grievance playbook he used in 2020, and the next phase could be far more dangerous.
On this episode of the Blackhawks Breakaway Podcast, Pat Boyle and Charlie Roumeliotis are joined by NHL insider Frank Seravalli to break down the blockbuster trade that brought Bowen Byram to Chicago in a package that included the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. Frank discusses the motivation behind the deal from the Blackhawks' perspective, what makes Byram such an appealing addition, what a potential contract extension could look like, and more. Pat and Charlie then share their full reaction to the trade, discussing why GM Kyle Davidson was willing to swing big, Byram's desire to establish himself as a true No. 1 defenseman, what he brings to the lineup, potential defensive pairings, and much more. The conversation shifts to the latest on Connor Bedard's contract negotiations and some of the NHL's biggest storylines, including Brady Tkachuk's move to Florida, the growing trend of player empowerment around the league, and whether it's ultimately good for the game. To close out the show, Pat and Charlie examine what Bedard's potential linemates could look like heading into the season following the addition of Byram.
Jeff Meade spent 20 years building companies. Then a friend asked him one question on a hike near Mount Fuji — what makes you happy? — and he couldn't answer it. That four-hour conversation led him to Paul Quinn College in Dallas, where he now serves as Chief Innovation Officer and runs a program with one non-negotiable rule: every student, regardless of major, must start and operate a real business before they graduate. No simulations. No worksheets. Real ventures, real customers, real failure. Every school says it wants future-ready students. Most are still teaching them how to pass tests. Jeff Meade decided that wasn't good enough — and built a venture-based learning model that turns a graduation requirement into the most practical education a student can get. If you're a school leader wondering whether entrepreneurship education belongs on your campus, this episode answers the question. ✅ What You'll Learn Why employers stopped wanting graduates who can pass tests — and what they're asking for instead How Paul Quinn structured a seed fund and advisor model so student ventures get real resources, not just pitch competitions Why this generation's biggest professional liability is their inability to talk to strangers — and what to do about it What a theoretical entrepreneurship curriculum gets wrong, and how venture-based learning fixes it How K–12 leaders can apply the same principles without a college-sized program
The MLB Draft Combine takes center stage and serves as a backdrop for a discussion of the top prep position players on the latest Pipeline Podcast. Jim Callis, Jonathan Mayo and Jason Ratliff talk about which players stood out most on the first day of Combine workouts, including UCLA first baseman Mulivai Levu and Rocco Maniscalco. That leads to talk of the high school bat class, including whether Grady Emerson is the top prospect in the entire Draft, and an interview with another talented prep shortstop in Jacob Lombard. If that's not enough, Jim and Jonathan do a joint mock draft where they project each club's top selection before fielding a listener mailbag question about Phillies right-hander Gage Wood. There is a specific reason this is happening, and it is not the one most practitioners think. In this episode, I walk through a real $4 million practice case study where revenue is strong but cost per consult, cost to acquire a client, and shrinking ad efficiency are quietly eating into profit. I break down exactly how to diagnose where the leaks are in your funnel, why simply increasing ad spend makes the problem worse, and what creative mix and campaign structure actually mean for your Meta ads performance.

In life, you need the 3 Cs. The first one is connection. In business, if you're the go-to guy for anything from attorneys, to doctors, or other service providers, you'll never have to go make new friends. They'll come to you as long as you're doing the right things. The second C is Capital. You need money to run your business. And yes, those who are worth $50 million dollars sometimes need capital. In order to keep things rolling, you have to have capital. The last and most powerful C is Coaching. I don't coach anyone, but you need to have a mentor to help you navigate where you want to go. I suggest finding someone who is above you in business. If you are grossing $5M a year, find someone who is doing $20-$25M to help you. Pay them for their time and save yours in the process by expediting your learning curve. Stick to the 3 Cs and you'll have everything you need. I'm joined by Doug Lucas for a rapid-fire myth-busting conversation about what women need to know about bone health, osteoporosis, fracture risk, and aging powerfully. Doug explains why calcium alone is not the answer, why walking is not enough to rebuild bone, and why a normal DEXA scan does not always mean you are safe. Most importantly, we talk about why bone loss is not something you simply have to accept and how the right lifestyle strategy can help you protect your strength, independence, and longevity. (00:00) Why calcium alone may not prevent fractures and can come with potential heart-health concerns. (00:33) Why walking may slow bone loss but is not enough to reverse osteoporosis. (01:07) Why osteoporosis risk is not limited to thin elderly women and can affect a much wider range of people. (01:55) Why GLP-1s are not necessarily the direct cause of bone loss, but severe calorie restriction and low protein intake can be a concern. (02:39) Why a normal DEXA scan does not automatically mean you are safe from fragility fractures. (03:59) How family history, previous fractures, and other risk factors can reveal a higher risk for future fractures. (05:38) Why osteoporosis medications can be useful in some cases but may not be the only or best first option for everyone. (07:39) Why Doug believes bone loss can be reversed when the underlying causes are addressed and lifestyle changes are sustained. In Foundations, the oldest article in the CrossFit Level 1 Training Guide, Coach Glassman lays out the case for what fitness actually is and why the marathoner, the powerlifter, and the bodybuilder are all missing it.We're going live to break it down with CrossFit Level 4 (CF-L4) coaches Todd Occhiuto and Kristin Bowen. This series is for aspiring coaches getting ready for their CrossFit Level 1, and for current coaches who want to get better at what they already do.In this episode we unpack the 10 fitness domains, why your grandmother and an Olympic athlete need the same training (differing by degree, not kind), and the "fringe athlete" argument that still starts fights in comment sections today.--

The official narrative states that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in August 2019, with the New York City Medical Examiner citing hanging as the cause of death. Authorities pointed to Epstein's earlier suicide attempt, his looming trial, and his isolation as supporting factors. Surveillance footage, though partially compromised, showed no outsiders entering the secure unit where Epstein was housed. The Department of Justice and FBI ultimately concluded there was no evidence of criminal activity, framing Epstein's death as the result of personal despair combined with catastrophic lapses in prison oversight.Yet, a powerful counter-narrative argues Epstein was murdered. Forensic anomalies, including neck fractures more common in strangulation than hanging, drew expert skepticism. Security protocols collapsed simultaneously: guards failed to check on him, cameras malfunctioned, his cellmate was removed, and excess bedding provided the means for ligatures. Combined with Epstein's alleged fears for his life, his ties to powerful figures, and the explosive release of documents naming high-profile associates just a day earlier, many see his death as too convenient to be coincidence. These factors have left the public divided, with compelling reasons to doubt the official suicide conclusion and to suspect Epstein's demise was the result of foul play.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Susie talks about Red Panda, the half-time phenom, who rides a 7ft tall unicycle whilst throwing plates with her feet onto her head. It's a whole thing. We find out about an astronaut who almost drowned on a "routine" spacewalk, which has Sarah reeling. We find out how Sarah almost choked to death, but more importantly, Susie found out she does NOT know the international sign for choking. We hear how WiFi can identify people in the room, and it's creepy af. Susie's sister questions Sarah's advice about saying, "Hey, bear!" to scare off bears. We learn why American horses are obese. And Sarah cries about Temple Grandin. Today's Daily DLP looks back at Lions head coach Dan Campbell's press conferences from this week's Detroit minicamp at the Meijer Performance Center in Allen Park. Specifically, two of Campbell's comments stand out. First, coach Campbell talked about the idea of not being held hostage by veterans who might feel like the safer, established options. Campbell laid out how younger players who might offer more in the long term can take those established jobs. We covered candidates on both sides of the equation at a few positions: cornerback, linebacker and offensive line. Secondly, Campbell went into more detail about what new passing game coordinator Mike Kafka will do for the Lions. Special assistant David Shaw is also in that explanation, as he continues with the Lions. It's all about helping new OC Drew Petzing maximize the Lions offense, and maybe finding more success and efficiency in the deep passing game and also on third downs. #detroitlions #lions #detroitlionspodcast #minicamp #trainingcamp #dancampbellpressconference #blakemiller #larryborom #malcolmrodriguez #jimmyreader #christianmahogany #juicescruggs #keithabney #amikrobertson #mikekafka #andrewpetzing #jackfox Learn more about your ad choices. The conversation focused on a whirlwind of pressing global and domestic issues shaping today's world. The discussion explored the evolving negotiations between the US and Iran, questioning the mysterious terms of a new “deal” and the shifting sands of Middle Eastern politics. Several points were raised, including the challenges of US debt refinancing, the economic ripple effects of AI investment, and Japan's pivotal role in global debt markets. One concept discussed was the increasing calls to overhaul tax policies, examining whether taxing capital gains like ordinary income truly addresses the nation's financial woes—or if it instead threatens the innovation engine powering the US economy. The episode also tackled stories from the FBI's headline-grabbing terror prevention efforts, to dramatic revelations involving non-profits and undercover operations, to the relentless advance of surveillance technology, including insect-sized drones.A key theme that emerged was the existential tension between government intervention, personal responsibility, and technological progress—with cultural, economic, and ethical implications unpacked at every turn. Whether examining the West's response to social media, the future of AR glasses, or the cycle of business innovation and decline, the conversation painted a vivid picture of a world in flux, demanding both critical scrutiny and bold action.Chapters: 00:00 JD Vance on US-Iran negotiations07:56 Iran's strategy during US midterms11:29 Economic focus for Middle East peace22:33 Trump's economic leverage with Iran24:11 Economic strategies and potential impacts30:56 Questioning the drone attack plot38:22 Japan's economic challenges post-COVID39:37 AI investment and financial concerns44:51 Discussing new tax proposals53:42 Critique of Economic Approaches56:42 Inherited debt and tax myths01:02:07 Discussing budget cuts and taxation01:08:29 Discussing national debt solutions01:13:31 Criticism of Southern Poverty Law Center01:17:35 Questioning goodness of NGOs01:23:19 Privacy concerns in online safety01:27:50 Future of AR Glasses and Contacts01:32:53 Future AI and reality confusion01:41:15 Industry veterans discuss company failures01:44:01 Startup lifecycle and innovation turnover01:48:28 Reevaluating Game Development StrategiesSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
