You know those moments when something feels off, but you can't tell if it's danger… discomfort… or just two strong personalities clashing? This episode goes straight into one of the most controversial conversations happening right now… and instead of reacting emotionally, we slow it down and analyze the actual behavior. Former CIA intelligence officer Andrew Bustamante joins me to break down behind-the-scenes footage involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, examining body language, power dynamics, control, discomfort, and competition, frame by frame. This is not about picking sides. It's about learning how to see clearly, protect yourself, and understand what's really happening when emotions, power, and perception collide. Because as women, the goal is never blind loyalty or blind skepticism. The goal is clarity. Here's exactly what we dive into: How to spot the difference between control, competition, and discomfort Why discomfort doesn't always mean powerlessness The subtle body-language cues that reveal who's actually leading the dynamic How women sometimes use control as a way to feel safe Why two people can both be telling the truth and still be in conflict What this case teaches us about perception, power, and boundaries in real life Show Notes Is This Toxic Masculinity or Weaponized Victimhood? Competition or Control? Breaking Down the On-Set Power Dynamic Is Control a Defense Mechanism When a Woman Feels Unsafe? For this week's episode, we are dipping into the archives to revisit a conversation that resonated with so many of you. I'm talking with Vanessa Gorelkin, a seasoned occupational therapist and ADHD coach who's been working in the field for nearly 30 years. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis (Bran-Dice) University and a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from NYU. She specializes in executive function strategies, emotional regulation, and anxiety management, and she brings a unique perspective to helping adults with ADHD navigate the day-to-day. In this encore presentation, we discuss: The "Want-to-Do" Gap: Why we struggle even with the tasks we actually enjoy. The Anxiety Connection: How anxiety and executive dysfunction team up to create a cycle of frustration. Strategy Decay: Why tools that work perfectly for a month inevitably seem to stop working. Practical Regulation: How to break down tasks so they feel doable and why you need a "crisis plan" before the crisis actually hits. Whether you missed this the first time around or just need a refresher on these strategies, there is so much gold in this episode. You can still find all the links and resources mentioned in this episode on the original show notes page at: HackingYourADHD.com/215 This Episode's Top Tips 1. If something feels overwhelming, try breaking it down into micro-steps. Even something like getting out of bed can be broken into "sit up," "put feet on the floor," and "stand up." In more practical ways, we could think of this as starting out as just opening the document you need to work on, adding the formatting, and starting your first sentence. The idea is you want to build momentum and go with the flow. 2. Be mindful of language; words like "just" and "should" can be damaging. Instead of "I should just wash the dishes," you can reframe it as "I could wash the dishes," and then also if you need a little bit more asking yourself, "What's making this difficult, and how can I work with it?" 3. It's important to have a crisis plan ready before you need it. When emotional overwhelm hits, it's hard to think through what you need. You can pre-plan strategies like a weighted blanket, a favorite show, or calling a friend so you don't have to figure it out at the moment.
HBH is so proud of this episode--we think this breakdown of an important and ongoing issue bears repeating:Award-winning journalist Sam Quinones lays out the facts behind the meth and fentanyl drug crisis in the U.S.:He expertly describes how mass manufacturing has made these drug ubiquitous, cheap, and infinitely more potent, and thus unlike any other drugs--legal or illegal--ever consumed by human beings. Sam explains how today's meth has triggered an abrupt rise in homelessness, and why these drugs and so destructive to users, their families, and ultimately all of us.Heroes Behind HeadlinesExecutive Producer Ralph PezzulloProduced & Engineered by Mike DawsonMusic provided by ExtremeMusic.com

Karen, Lou, and Jesse dive into the season one finale of Pluribus, We unpack: • A village completely silenced — because nothing says "season finale" like an entire town hitting the mute button. • A baby goat — seriously, what is it with Apple TV and goats? Is there a secret goat sponsorship we don't know about • A romantic getaway — reading by the pool, skiing and sipping hot butter rum near the fireplace. • A broken heart — because you can't live in a fantasy, no matter how perfect it seems. • And a bomb of an ending — literally, figuratively, emotionally… pick your flavor. It's dramatic, it's chaotic, and it's exactly the kind of finale that makes you yell at your TV and immediately text your friends.
In this episode of the JuvoHub Podcast, host Jonathan Saar continues the learning theory series by breaking down one of the most misunderstood concepts in education: micro learning. He explores why simply shortening a long lesson isn't true microlearning, how the science of retention shapes effective design, and what educators should consider before restructuring their content. Jonathan also highlights insights from several articles on micro learning, including research on how adults absorb, process, and retain new information. You'll walk away with a clearer understanding of when micro learning works, when it doesn't, and how to design it with intention—not convenience. TLDR: Micro learning isn't “shorter content.” Its purposeful design grounded in how adult learners process information. Key Takeaways 00:00 – Why Micro Learning Became a Buzzword 00:43 – The Real Meaning of Micro Learning 01:30 – Why “Just Shorter” Isn't Micro Learning 03:36 – Breaking Down the Research 04:45 – What True Micro Learning Requires 05:55 – How the Brain Retains Information 06:40 – Applying Micro Learning to Adult Learners 07:32 – Making Intentional Design Decisions 08:13 – When Micro Learning Works—and When It Doesn't 08:50 – Final Thoughts and Invitation to Share Why Micro Learning Design Matters Micro learning continues to influence how educators and organizations shape modern training, but its value depends entirely on intentional design rooted in learning theory. This episode reinforces that micro learning is not simply shorter content—it's a strategic approach that aligns with how adults absorb and retain information. As you refine your training strategy, understanding the science behind micro learning helps you create experiences that are more engaging, more sustainable, and ultimately more effective. Class Dismissed!

December 24, 2025: The systems we've relied on to organize work are starting to crack. In this episode of Future Ready Today, we unpack four stories that reveal how deeply work is being reshaped — often in ways leaders aren't prepared for. AI was supposed to make hiring fairer and faster, but instead it's flooding employers with indistinguishable candidates and eroding trust in the hiring process. Workers are debating whether flexibility is worth a massive pay cut, exposing a deeper shift in how people value time, money, and quality of life. LinkedIn's CEO argues that five-year career plans are now outdated as skills evolve faster than organizations can plan for. And inside offices, introverts are pushing back on collaboration models designed for visibility rather than outcomes — raising hard questions about accommodation, performance, and accountability. Together, these stories point to a larger truth: work is moving away from rigid structures and toward adaptability, learning velocity, and human judgment. The future of work won't be defined by perks, policies, or platforms — it will be shaped by how well organizations redesign hiring, careers, and culture for a world of constant change.

Welcome back to another powerhouse episode of Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu. In this special “Best Of IT 2025” edition, Tom Bilyeu sits down with a remarkable panel of thinkers, investigators, and insiders, including Whitney Webb, Scott Galloway, Andrew Bustamante, and Mo Gawdat. Today's conversation dives headlong into the intersections of politics, national security, technology, and the human condition. Whitney Webb unpacks the shadowy networks behind political and business power, giving us a candid look at Donald Trump's motivations, the AI arms race, and the rise of a modern technocracy. She draws bold connections from backroom deals to the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence, questioning who truly benefits from these seismic shifts. Andrew Bustamante, a former CIA operative, pulls back the curtain on intelligence operations, the Epstein scandal, and explains how global gamesmanship actually unfolds—reminding us that the truth often lies somewhere between conspiracy and incompetence. He explores the ongoing “shadow conflict” with China, the realities of modern military strategy, and what's really happening behind the headlines in hotspots like Venezuela and the Caribbean. Mo Gawdat challenges us to rethink the broader implications of global power plays—asking whether America's aggressive stance towards China may actually be hurting itself, and positing that economic diplomacy and humility could be the keys to a more peaceful future. And Scott Galloway offers his trademark candid analysis on the Trump presidency, economic malaise, masculinity in crisis, and what it will take for America's young people—especially young men—to thrive again. If you're looking for a conversation that pulls no punches and explores the uncomfortable truths behind world events, government, technology, and society, you're in the right place.
