Despite being a seventh-round pick, Dustin Wolf has certainly proven himself on the ice. Wolf played for the Everett Silvertips in the WHL for 4 seasons, consistently putting up remarkable numbers. He was able to continue this trend during his first 2 seasons in the AHL. Wolf has been so dominant in his position, he was won the Best Goaltender Award 4 seasons in a row - 2 in the WHL and twice more in the AHL. Dustin, although not short at 6'0" tall, has had to overcome the towering goalie trend that has seeped into the NHL landscape. His perseverance through adversity might be attributed to a strong work ethic, mental toughness, and determination.

Locked On Canadiens - Daily Podcast on the Montreal Canadiens
Inside today's Locked on Canadiens As expected a game between the Habs and Sens got wildly ridiculous in all the wrong ways on Wednesday. Montreal came away with a 4-3 victory, but it wasn't without ugly hits, bad officiating, and general nonsense. Scott breaks down the games key moments, and what went right for the Habs to win their first preseason game in three years! Following the recap, Scott takes a look at the brightest performers on the night, including another standout showing from prospects Jared Davidson, and William Trudeau. While Davidson remains on an AHL deal, could he be upgraded to a full ELC by the end of this preseason or will he follow the same route as previous overage players in Montreal? Scott also looks at whether or not Trudeau has done enough to possibly steal himself an NHL spot just two games into the preseason. Also, through two games so far, what are the biggest concerns facing the Habs right now? Scott has worries about some of the veteran NHL defenders, and also with the early goaltending signs. How can Montreal turn it around over the next four games before opening night begins? Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! The Boston Bruins signed forward Danton Heinen to a professional tryout offer on Tuesday. Heinen was traded to the Anaheim Ducks for Nick Ritchie a few years ago, and returns to the Bruins after a couple seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He's not guaranteed to make the team, though, and will battle with Alex Chiasson (also on a PTO) and other forwards like Jesper Boqvist, Milan Lucic, Jakub Lauko, Patrick Brown and potential AHL graduates for a spot on the opening night roster. Plus, Brad Marchand is sure talking like the next captain of the Bruins. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! The Calgary Flames were expected to have a busy offseason. They made one trade and signed several AHL players. It was not the offseason fans had hoped for. Elias Lindholm has still not made a decision. Noah Hanifin has not been traded. Neither has Mikael Backlund. The Flames are nowhere closer to where they were at the end of the season. The organization keeps digging deeper, and players are scratching to get out. If Craig Conroy doesn't act, fans have a right to be cautious. With minimal changes, the Flames are expected to be a competitive team. While the rest of the conference made positive strides, the Flames are slipping and sliding away. Locked On Canadiens - Daily Podcast on the Montreal Canadiens
Inside today's Locked on Canadiens With the arrival of Gustav Lindstrom, and the term remaining on a few older contracts, what exactly is the Canadiens plan on defence this year? Scott wonders who claims the last two spots, and if Lindstrom or even Chris Wideman are headed to the AHL's Laval Rocket. That is of course, if there is a bad decision to be made at all this year. Then, while the mood around the Canadiens has been far more positive over the course of the rebuild, the hosts take a moment to discuss some of the harsh realities still possibly facing this Habs team. There will still be losses, and there is still more rebuilding to be had, but besides the obvious what other tough lessons should fans be on the lookout for this year? Finally, the host tackle a few leftover mailbag questions from last Friday! Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! FanDuel Make Every Moment More.
