Sources of Aqeedah in Islam | ZAD Academy Audio | Blogpost by Zayd HajiBy Zayd Haji – Student at Zad AcademyAssalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,I am Zayd Haji, a student at Zad Academy. In this blog, I will summarize a key lesson on the sources of Aqeedah (Islamic creed). Aqeedah is the foundation of our faith, and it must be taken from authentic sources: the Qur'an, the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, and the consensus of the righteous predecessors. The Qur'an is the first and most important source of Aqeedah. Allah warns against opposing the Messenger ﷺ and abandoning the path of the believers:“And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers – We will turn him to what he has chosen and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination.”(Qur'an, Surah An-Nisa 4:115)
Welcome back! We kick off Season 9 of the Glass and Out Podcast with episode 306, featuring Seattle Kraken Assistant Coach Jessica Campbell. Campbell is of course getting set for her second season behind an NHL bench, after having the distinction of being the first female to be hired as a full-time NHL coach. The native of Moosomin, Saskatchewan parlayed her skating business and the experience of training NHL players in the off-season in Kelowna into the opportunity to coach professionally in Europe. It was then that Dan Bylsma, then recently hired as the Head Coach of the Kraken's AHL affiliate in Coachella Valley, reached out to interview her for the opportunity to join his staff. Two seasons and consecutive trips to the Calder Cup finals later, Bylsma was hired as Seattle's Head Coach and Campbell got the call to join him. You can check out her IIHF Coaching Symposium presentation on Feeding the Attack by Breaking Down the PK now on The Coaches Site. Listen as she shares her keys to creating a cohesive power play, how to help players out of scoring slumps, and how breaking barriers has influenced her coaching philosophy.
We hear from the AHL bench boss after the first on ice practice.

Send us a textThis week on Leave Your Mark, I sit down with Mike Muir — Athletic Therapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Vegas Golden Knights.Mike has been in the game for over 35 years. His journey began with Canada's National Basketball Team, carried through university sport at Mount Allison, and launched his hockey career in Billings, Montana. From there, he climbed through the ranks: from the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL (winning the Calder Cup in 2015) to witnessing the LA Kings lift two Stanley Cups in 2012 and 2014.Since 2017, Mike has been with the Golden Knights, playing his part in their historic 2023 Stanley Cup victory. Beyond the rink, he's a husband, father of two, and—like me—born in the same year.Mike's story is one of consistency, resilience, and decades of dedication to human performance. It's a new OHL season full of promise, unless you're dumb enough to try and predict the finishing order of all ten teams in the Eastern Conference. Why should you do that, though, when Dan and Farwell are plenty dumb enough to do it for you? The guys give it the ol' college try in predicting this year's Eastern Conference and, speaking of college, that NCAA rule change is still making waves. Plus, there's a potential that more players will move to the AHL early, and a guarantee that either Kitchener or Guelph will host the 2027 Memorial Cup (the guys think they know which market will win the bid). We've also got rule changes aplenty, and plenty of complaints about the OHL's new jersey sponsor (just not from Farwell). All in all, plenty to fill your ears after a summer away. Hope your break was great! Farwell and Dan are looking forward to bringing you another season of OHL analysis, bad takes, and information from around the league. The OHL Podcast is supported by Draft Kings Sportsbook.

Episode 314 of the InGoal Radio Podcast, presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, features a fantastic interview with longtime NHL goalie and coach Rick Wamsley. In the feature interview presented by NHL Sense Arena, Wamsley touches on everything from 13 seasons playing in the NHL over three decades, to coaching goalies in the League for another 15 years, including going from "goalie on Tuesday to goalie coach on Wednesday" with Felix Potvin and the Toronto Maple Leafs in the early 1990s. There are great stories on every aspect of the game and position, from his start as a Montreal Canadiens draft pick and fellow goalies sewing Tupperware on their gear, to having Jacques Plante as a coach, learning from watching John Davidson in the AHL, and coaching Craig Anderson, as well as some really interesting lessons that applied to goaltending when he started, and still hold true today, 45 years later. We also talk about Wamsley's work as an OHL consultant and how it led to a new online venture, GoalieU designed to help goalies improve through video work. Check it out because we've got an exciting new partnership coming that will benefit InGoal Members too!In the Parent Segment, presented by Stop It Goaltending U the App, we respond to a few common questions for listeners including travelling with goalie gear, breaking in new gear and the smallest goalies being forced by team rule to carry their own bags.We also review this week's Pro Reads, presented by Vizual Edge, which features Charlie Lindgren of the Washington Capitals with great advice on managing depth and post integration when facing breakaways off the wing, and how both differ compared to a straight line 1-on-1.And in our weekly gear segment, we go to The Hockey Shop Source for Sports for a closer look at the all new Bauer Pro kneepads and why they have been generating so much buzz this summer.
