As we all know, life can get crazy busy with well…life. Everyone has seasons that don’t allow for heavy time commitments to a weekly Bible study at their church or in their neighborhood. That’s why we’ve created a podcast space where you can come and go, as your schedule allows, that points you towa…
The Mission Hills Bible Study podcast is an incredible resource for anyone looking to engage with Scripture in a meaningful and accessible way. Whether you're a busy professional, a stay-at-home parent, or someone who simply prefers the convenience of online studies, this podcast delivers on all fronts.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is its depth and personal approach to Bible study. The hosts, Kelly and Kristi, have a genuine passion for Scripture and their love for God's Word shines through in every episode. They go beyond surface-level discussion and provide insightful reflections that are relatable and applicable to everyday life. The podcast also allows listeners to follow along with the passage being studied, making it easy to engage whether you're at home, out for a walk, or even at the gym.
Another great aspect of this podcast is its flexibility. One of the challenges many people face when trying to engage in regular Bible study is finding the time that fits their schedule. With this podcast, you can listen at any time that works for you. Whether it's during your morning commute, while doing household chores, or before bed, you have the freedom to tailor your study time to fit your lifestyle. This flexibility makes it easier than ever to prioritize spending time with God's Word.
While there are many positive aspects of The Mission Hills Bible Study podcast, one potential downside is that it may lack the live interaction and community aspect that traditional in-person studies offer. While Kelly and Kristi do an excellent job of engaging with listeners through their reflections and insights, some individuals may prefer the dynamic discussions that come from being physically present in a study group setting.
In conclusion, The Mission Hills Bible Study podcast is an exceptional resource for anyone seeking a deep and personal engagement with Scripture on their own terms. With its accessibility and flexibility, it provides a unique opportunity for individuals to dig deep into God's Word and apply its teachings to their daily lives. Kelly and Kristi's passion for Scripture and their relatable approach make this podcast a true blessing. Whether you're a busy professional, a parent, or simply in search of an online study option, The Mission Hills Bible Study podcast is a must-listen.

In Chapter 2, we follow the Teacher's quest for meaning as he experiments with pleasure, wisdom, and work. “What is good for people to do under the heavens during the few days of their lives?” (Ecc. 2:3) With far more resources at his disposal than most of us will ever have, we can learn a lot from his pursuits – and their ultimate conclusion. Third John holds a unique place in the bible for a few reasons. First, it's the shortest book of the Bible. Second, it's a unique book in the New Testament because it is a personal letter that reflects ancient letters more than other books in the New Testament. John continues to focus on the intersection of truth and love, but now in the form of hospitality and ministry support. How do we apply John's words today? Should we never accept help from an unbeliever, or does that application change today in a different time and culture? Our How to Read the Bible segment today is “Why Every Word in Scripture is Important.”

Last time, we went verse by verse through 2 John. So this time we are swinging the pendulum the other way and flying by the seat of our pants. We focus on what stood out to us from John's letter and how to apply it to our lives. We get kind of emotional talking about God's love for people and seeing them in the light of being worthy of love because they are made in God's image. But that doesn't mean we just way yes to everything. I can love someone and tell them “no” because that is what is best for them. John highlights the healthy tension between love and truth. Lastly, Kristy and Kelly join us for a conversation about reading the Bible with both your head and your heart; both logic and emotion.

We throw a curveball, but hopefully a helpful one. We are going verse by verse and show you how to make observations and ask questions about a text. We spend a lot less time than usual drawing conclusions and explaining the text because we want to show you how we do this. It's a pretty unpolished episode. Grab a bible, read through 2 John yourself, and then join us as we learn from this New Testament letter.
