There are two distinct kingdoms—the Kingdom of God (Light) and the Kingdom of Darkness. As Christians we have been purchased and rescued from the Kingdom of Darkness and now are citizens and ambassadors of the Kingdom of Light. How can young people build up their mental health and cope with societal pressures while adulting? Synopsis: Every first Wednesday of the month, The Straits Times helps you make sense of health matters that affect you. We all know that adulting is not easy, but why is adulting hitting the mental health of young people so much these days? ST senior health correspondent Joyce Teo explores this with two guests in this episode. They are: Ms Lee Yi Ping, the programme lead and principal Case Manager at Chat, Centre of Excellence for Youth Mental Health in Singapore. This service by the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) serves as a first-stop touchpoint for young people seeking mental health support. Mr Delane Lim, the founder and executive director of the charity Character & Leadership Academy, which runs youth development, mental wellness, and suicide prevention programmes for young people. Mr Lim himself contemplated suicide at 25 and he knows just how tough adulting can be. They discuss what one can do to manage the challenges that adulting brings, whether it is related to identity, work or relationships. Ms Lee and Mr Lim also share their own experiences. When we first come to Christ, we are saved by His grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9). Our salvation is not of ourselves, it is the work and gift of God on our behalf. Yet, strangely, for many Christians, once we are saved through faith, we attempt to live the Christian life in our own strength, ability, wisdom, and resource—we try to be godly, holy, righteous, and pure. But the reality of the Christian life is that we are to ALWAYS live by faith in Christ. The only way we will ever experience freedom, victory, and triumph over sin is when we live by faith in Jesus alone. In this study, Nathan talks about what faith is, how it functions, why it is necessary, and how it applies to Ephesians 5:3–5 in the area of sexuality, purity, and freedom from sin.

Libby shares her personal and professional journey with hypermobility explaining what hypermobility is and the associated symptoms. Libby, Katy and Jeannette discuss the paradox that bendy bodies have large ranges of motion yet tense muscles and how a sedentary lifestyle is even more of a liability for people with hypermobility syndromes. Libby and Katy outline the ABCs of a movement program for bendy bodies that often struggle with proprioception and are easily fatigued. They emphasize the importance of higher load activities performed with very mindful attention to exercise form. They caution that smaller and slower movements are key whatever the exercise modality. Also in this episode, Katy has a conversation with Sohail Shariff of Movemate, creator of segmented active standing boards designed to be used while you work. Sohail explains the personal stories behind the product and its design. Katy shares her appreciation of the boards particularly how  these boards foster dynamic movement of the foot and ankle, something missing with traditional balance boards. Sohail and Katy also discuss the board's segmented design; the multiple articulations create a flowing but stable motion which means Katy can move and focus on work at the same time.
