Julia and Mike listen to a lot of music. A LOT. They also lived in a time where mixtapes were a national past time. Each week they pick a topic, gather some songs, and put together a super rad mixtape for everyone!

There are too many Christmas songs to play in just one month. Also, coming up with Christmas title puns is no joke y'all. We hope this one makes sense. This week we have our last episode of 2021. Next year we transition to a different recording format. We wanted to end this year on a high note and thought that there is nothing more joyfully annoying than Christmas songs! Listen along as we play through some classics and new tunes that we hope will catch on. Have a wonderful holiday season and we'll see you next year!
Welcome to the mini Singles-sode. In these episodes Mike and Julia share their favorite songs of the week. It's a quick taste to get you through until the next full episode! You can listen to the MM!PP! Singles playlist here
featuring songs from Lucy Dacus and Pale Jay @mixtapemixtapepodcastmixtapemixtapepodcast.com
Summer break is finally over and MM!PP! is back with a brand new show. Host Julia is celebrating a birthday this week so why not go back to the year she was born and make a mixtape of 1985 bangers to celebrate. This episode is jam packed with 80's hits and dance jams. Of course what MM!PP! show wouldn't be complete without a lil Championship E.R. Talk! New Shows will be back in full force soon. Enjoy!
Mike and Julia are here to play their top favorite songs for the week. It's just a little something to get you through the week. Enjoy!
It's great that things are opening up again! Now that we're allowed to leave our homes it's time to plan outings and lunches and brunches! In this week's episode hosts Mike and Julia play songs about cities to get them in the traveling mood.
In the minis odes hosts Mike and Julia pick out their favorite song of the week. Something they may have heard in the grocery store, on a commercial, something that's been stuck in their head. Think of the minis as a cleanser to the full length mixtapes.
It's minisode time! Mike and Julia play music in here some where…a lot of tangents and accents…ENJOY!
Please do not confuse this episode with Deva’s Bar in Orange County…unless you’re in to that sort of thing. Do yourself a favor and watch Annie Lenox’s live performance of “No More I Love You’s” Lady Gaga’s 2009 SNL performance video
Should we just become exclusively 30 minute mini episodes at this point? We swear we'll be back with a new full length show very soon!
Every other week Mike and Julia each play a song that they can’t get out of their head. They either heard it at the grocery store, on the radio, or in a commercial. Regardless of where they heard the song, it’s now stuck in their heads and they hope to get it stuck in yours too. Welcome of the Singles-Minisode! OOPS! and by the way this should have been posted a week ago, but due to some tech issues you're hearing it now. Ignore the really out of date convo :)
It's mini time! Jon and Julia select their favorite songs for the week. This is an in-betweener until the full length show comes out.

Guys! We didn't talk about e.r. in this episode! We just talked about a bunch of other tv shows instead.Plus some new ska music for ya!
We could also easily call this episode “Oh yeah…that song!” The 90’s brought us a lot of bangers. This mixtape is filled with bands that skyrocketed to top spots on the Billboard charts and played endlessly on the radio, but quietly disappeared in to your CD collection never to be heard from again. You’re going to love these songs or hate these songs but you’ll almost always think to yourself “I wonder what happened to them?” after each song.

Another mini-sode that's as long as a normal episode? It's what we do best!
Is this a minisode about music or about how far along Julia is on her E.R. binge? It’s a little bit of A and a little bit of B.
It’s time for a minisode babysode ittybittytittycommitteesode. Enjoy!
St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner and what better way to celebrate drinking from home than to make a mixtape dedicated to Irish bands and classic Irish drinking songs. We did both because neither Julia or Mike could figure out what the exact theme would be (We’re not professionals people).
Check out Julia’s newest project, Stay Free Recordings. An exclusively 7” only, limited to 200 copies per record, label, quirky label. Stayfreerecordings.com

Back with another Singles-sode. Incaseyou’rewondering a ca-single or cassette single were frequently purchased when all you wanted was the hit song. It was kinda like iTunes before the internet. In these Single-sodes / mini-sodes, Julia and Mike pick out their favorite songs for the week.
Watch One Night in Miami, then listen to Sam Cooke the rest of the day. Truly perfect.
Weeeee’rrrrrreeeeeeee baaaack! New year, new us, and only 2 months late. We are happy to feature Telepathic Traffic and their dreamy cover of “You’re Wondering Now” on our first #singles show back. The band features multi-talented Friend-of-the-Show Harris Pittman. We love the hope he brought to this song. 2021 is going to be a good (or just better) year. Check out Telepathic Traffic on Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, and Bandcamp.
It's better than a recap show. It's a show completely created by our listeners. We asked everyone what songs they had on repeat, the songs they loved, songs that helped them get through the year when things got to be TOO much. And y'all delivered. Thank you to everyone who continues to play our mixtapes and listen to our show. We appreciate you so so much! Here's to more fun mixes in 2021
