Listeners of Ostium Podcast that love the show mention:The Ostium Podcast is a captivating and immersive audio drama that will leave you wanting more. From the first episode, I was completely engrossed in the story, feeling as if I was listening to a personal diary of the male lead/narrator. Chris Fletcher does an exceptional job portraying Jake with his monotonic speech and hyper fixation on historical disappearances. This unique portrayal adds depth to the character and makes him relatable in a way that is rarely seen in podcasts.
One of the best aspects of The Ostium Podcast is its superb writing. The story is intricate and well-crafted, with each breadcrumb leading somewhere meaningful season after season. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into setting up the plot and tying all loose ends together. The dry sense of humor provided by Chris Fletcher's delivery as Jake adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the podcast. Additionally, I appreciate the abundance of episodes available, allowing listeners to truly immerse themselves in the eerie and entertaining world of Ostium.
While there are some criticisms from later seasons, I have only listened to the first three episodes and can confidently say that this podcast is exactly what I have been looking for. It draws you in with its hypnotic and captivating nature, making it difficult to stop listening. Monica's reading may come across as scripted at times, but Jake's genuine voice keeps me engaged throughout. As someone who has enjoyed other audio dramas like Tanis and The Black Tapes but felt frustrated by loose ends, I find The Ostium Podcast refreshing with its tight storyline that leads somewhere season after season.
In conclusion, The Ostium Podcast is a well-put-together production that offers an intriguing story with excellent voice acting and interstitial music. It keeps you guessing and provides hours of entertainment through its numerous episodes. While there may be some minor flaws or changes in tone throughout the series, it remains an enjoyable listen for fans of sci-fi and mystery. Overall, I highly recommend The Ostium Podcast to anyone looking for a compelling and immersive storytelling experience.

Content warning for suicide starting at 15:45 and 26:23.Well, here we are again at another season finale. Sometimes I find it hard to accept that Ostium has had six seasons, but then I think about how much more story there is to tell and I just get so excited about what's to come. And for reference, we're at the halfway point in the Ostium narrative right now. At least for this series, but that's all I'm going to say about that. I know it took a long time to get this whole season out to the world and I would like to thank everyone for their patience in that. There's a lot going on in the world right now, both in the public space and in our private lives, and sometimes there are delays we can't avoid. So thanks again for sticking around. I would also like to thank the incredible people I have working for me in Team Ostium. Thank you to Chris, Georgia and Emily. I'm very excited to see where our story goes next. Thank you to Mike Nye, a true magician when it comes to sound design. You turn words and dialogue into magical stories that come to life. Couldn't do it without you, mate! Thank you to Christina for helping out in so many ways and keeping the Discord running. Thank you to twiglettsaregreattoeat, you do so much for this show and so many others. Thank you so much. And thank you to our Ostium Network patrons on Patreon: Davin McBride, Tyla Kraut, Delano McFarlane, Connor Bobbi, Michelle Elliott, Amanda Borthwick, Justin Marcum, Corey Frampton, deathtokomatsu, Daryl Williamson, Virginia Greene, Nom Blashki, Maggie B, Justin Dunafon, Lutz Albers, twigletsaregreattoeat, lunaraptor, Christine Sanderson, Claire Smith, Michele Hall, The Team at Hail and Well Met, Mike Nye, Mike Troup, Staci Corcoran, and thank you to Christina Amos. And that brings us truly to the end of season six. This season took a lot of work, but I think the result was one of our best seasons of the show. And season seven is currently being written and is taking the show in some interesting directions. I'd like to say it'll be out some time in 2024, but I think it's more likely to be January 2025. We'll just have to wait and see. For now this is Alex C. Telander, putting Ostium Season Six to bed and signing off for now. This episode was written, edited, and produced by Alex C. Telander. The part of Jake is performed by Chris Fletcher.
