Content warning for suicide starting at 15:45 and 26:23.Well, here we are again at another season finale. Sometimes I find it hard to accept that Ostium has had six seasons, but then I think about how much more story there is to tell and I just get so excited about what's to come. And for reference, we're at the halfway point in the Ostium narrative right now. At least for this series, but that's all I'm going to say about that. I know it took a long time to get this whole season out to the world and I would like to thank everyone for their patience in that. There's a lot going on in the world right now, both in the public space and in our private lives, and sometimes there are delays we can't avoid. So thanks again for sticking around. I would also like to thank the incredible people I have working for me in Team Ostium. Thank you to Chris, Georgia and Emily. I'm very excited to see where our story goes next. Thank you to Mike Nye, a true magician when it comes to sound design. You turn words and dialogue into magical stories that come to life. Couldn't do it without you, mate! Thank you to Christina for helping out in so many ways and keeping the Discord running. Thank you to twiglettsaregreattoeat, you do so much for this show and so many others. Thank you so much. And thank you to our Ostium Network patrons on Patreon: Davin McBride, Tyla Kraut, Delano McFarlane, Connor Bobbi, Michelle Elliott, Amanda Borthwick, Justin Marcum, Corey Frampton, deathtokomatsu, Daryl Williamson, Virginia Greene, Nom Blashki, Maggie B, Justin Dunafon, Lutz Albers, twigletsaregreattoeat, lunaraptor, Christine Sanderson, Claire Smith, Michele Hall, The Team at Hail and Well Met, Mike Nye, Mike Troup, Staci Corcoran, and thank you to Christina Amos. And that brings us truly to the end of season six. This season took a lot of work, but I think the result was one of our best seasons of the show. And season seven is currently being written and is taking the show in some interesting directions. I'd like to say it'll be out some time in 2024, but I think it's more likely to be January 2025. We'll just have to wait and see. For now this is Alex C. Telander, putting Ostium Season Six to bed and signing off for now. This episode was written, edited, and produced by Alex C. Telander. The part of Jake is performed by Chris Fletcher. Hey everyone, Alex C. Telander here. As you know, I was very happy to announce recently that the Ostium Podcast has joined the Rusty Quill Network. And for the last few months I've started listening to some of the great shows that are part of that network, and then I started chatting with the creator of one of those shows, and in the coming weeks you're going to get a treat here on the Ostium feed with the first episodes of some of those shows. Like I said, I've been listening to these shows and they're really awesome, so I wanted to share their awesomeness with you and hopefully help you get hooked on a great new audiodrama, or two, or ten! So these will start releasing over the ensuing weeks and months and hopefully you'll give them a listen and then, once you're hooked, you find them in your podcast app and subscribe and start enjoying all the other episodes. Our next recommendation from the Rusty Quill Network is The Cellar Letters.Episode 1 - The Move: I recently lost my job and decided to move across the country and document the whole thing. Things in the new house seem a bit... off.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/ostium. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Hey guys. The Diary Of Aliza Schultz has joined the Rusty Quill Network! If you aren't familiar, the Rusty Quill Network is why that guy says "Rusty Quill Presents..." at the beginning of every episode of WOE.BEGONE. In addition to that cool intro, the Rusty Quill Network provides me with opportunities to reach new audiences and expand the show in new and interesting ways. Speaking of: season 2 is already underway and I am excited about the directions it is going in. Expect more of that soon.If you haven't listened to The Diary Of Aliza Schultz yet, now is a great time to start. The whole first season plus 2 episodes of the second season are available wherever you listen to podcasts. And, as of today, the 2022 Aliza Schultz Halloween special is available in both the WOE.BEGONE and Aliza Schultz feeds. It's called "A Single Night In Wolford" and it's a standalone story, so you don't have to listen to the rest of The Diary Of Aliza Schultz to understand it. To reiterate, The Diary Of Aliza Schultz is on its own RSS feed, so seek it out wherever you listen to podcasts. And, as with WOE.BEGONE, nothing is going to change about the show other than my ability to make it better. I am still fully independent in my creative vision. With that being said, enjoy The Diary Of Aliza Schultz and the new Halloween special. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

With that being said, enjoy The Diary Of Aliza Schultz and the new Halloween special. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Hey everyone, Alex C. Telander here, and before we get to this week's Firsts episode started, we wanted to take a moment to address the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe versus Wade on June 24th, 2022. Everyone should have the freedom to decide what is best for themselves and their families, including when it comes to ending a pregnancy. Abortion is a basic healthcare need for millions of people of all genders, and this decision has far-reaching consequences for every single person in America. People, not politicians, should be able to make their own decisions including when it comes to abortion care. We have more information linked at choice.crd.co, and if you are able, consider donating to abortion funds. Please speak up, take care, and spread the word. Our next recommendation from the Rusty Quill Network is The Storage Papers.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/ostium. Hey guys. I wanted to give you a special little bonus treat in the WOE.BEGONE feed this week. Namely, I wanted to take a second to promote a fellow Rusty Quill Network podcast that I've been digging lately, Ostium. If you're a fan of WOE.BEGONE, you'll find that Ostium is right up your alley. It even begins with a game of Geoguessr, my favorite game. I already know you like shows that start out with mysterious online games that turn into something even more mysterious and expansive, so check out Ostium Podcast wherever you listen to podcasts and at http://www.ostiumpodcast.com. Without further ado, here is Ostium episode 1 – Population Zero. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Hey everyone, Alex C. Telander here; creator and writer for Ostium. And it gives me great pleasure to announce that the Ostium Podcast is now officially part of the Rusty Quill Network. When they got in touch with me over a year ago and we began talking, it didn't take me long to know this would be the beginning of a beautiful partnership and friendship. Rusty Quill aligns with Team Ostium in values and representation, and we're honored to be included with all these wonderful shows on the Rusty Quill Network. What does this mean for the Ostium Podcast? Well, nothing is really going to change. We're still going to be making the show in exactly the same way we have for the last five years, and Rusty Quill will be helping with hosting and promotion and getting Ostium into more people's ears. And I would just like to welcome our new Rusty Quill listeners. You've got five seasons of Ostium to enjoy, plus a bunch of bonus material. And we're working hard on season six right now which we're hoping to get released later this year. But I also have something else in the works to keep everyone entertained coming late summer if season six isn't ready yet. I came up with an idea for a miniseries that's now turned into a potential long-running bonus series called the Ostium Sagas. So that's something to look forward to later this year. And just a quick mention of our Patreon, where you can get access to the Ostium Sagas in the very near future, as well as a lot of bonus content on there, including ad free episodes to all the Ostium Network shows. Once again that's patreon.com/ostiumpodcast.Okay, thanks for listening to this update, and again we're really happy to be with the Rusty Quill Network, and if you want to hear more about how this all happened, I'll be talking in detail in the next Writing Walks episode, which is my writing podcast available wherever you get your podcasts.Thank you listeners, old and new, and may you always find your door.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/ostium.
