When Gloria took a waitressing job in a diner outside of Phoenix, she didn't realize she was now an employee of Midnight Burger, a time-traveling, dimension-spanning diner. Every day Midnight Burger appears somewhere new in the cosmos along with its staff: a galactic drifter, a rogue theoretical physicist, a sentient old-timey radio, and some guy named Caspar. No one knows who built Midnight Burger or how it works, but when it appears there's always someone around who could really use a cup of coffee. Midnight Burger began in the deep, dark time of the pandemic when we were all bored out of our minds and also terrified of everything. Joe Fisher, a screenwriter and playwright, turned to his partner Finlay Stevenson, an audiobook narrator and director, and said "Let's make something." After a few calls to old friends they had a cast, and the adventure began. Now in Season 3, Midnight Burger has over three million downloads, passionate subscribers, and critical acclaim. All of it born out of two people in an uncertain time, trying to imagine a different world. “A must-listen indie podcast” - The Guardian “A beautiful, kind, wonderful story.” - Ella Watts, BBC Radio Season 3 finale out now! https://www.weopenatsix.com/ Learn more about your ad choices.
