Dr Safraz Jeraj works professionally in the NHS as a clinical psychologist in the areas of depression, anxiety and intersection between chronic physical health conditions and mental health specialising in pain. He also works as a senior lecturer in the department of psychology in the university of Surrey. Dr Safraz has worked in the muslim community as a facilitator, mediator and leader for 15 years and is particularly interested in self development and wellbeing.

Dr Yasmin Mohsin, is a Registrar in Psychiatry and is now doing her training to specialise in working with Children and Adolescents. She works for the NHS and aims to make her practice more therapeutically informed by additionally undertaking courses in different therapies. Dr Yasmin is also interested in Islamic principles relating to recovery and how care can be more tailor made to Muslim communities.
Bilal Naqvi is a project management professional within the pharmaceutical & clinical trials industry. Today he is on this podcast as a mental health advocate and to raise awareness and educate our viewers about a condition called obsessive compulsive disorder. More specifically to talk about my sister Masooma, who suffers from severe OCD and the GoFundMe campaign he has started to raise funds for her private treatment.

Currently Head of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion at an NHS Foundation Trust, Hasan has expertise in leading EDI departments to deliver organisations EDI strategy, develop wide ranging awareness of key equalities areas amongst a workforce and effect cultural change at an organisational level. Hasan has a particular interest in Disability and Workforce Racial Equity and is passionate about working collectively to produce better workplace atmospheres for all. Hasan is also Chair of Mission Remission (A charity supporting people in remission from cancer). Having completed his BSc in BioMedical Sciences in 2016, Hasan is currently undertaking an MBA with the University of Hertfordshire Business School. Hasan has also been delivering lectures and majalis pertaining to the lives and musibah of the Ahlulbayt (as) internationally over the last 10 years

Dr Yousif Al-Hilli has recently graduated with a PhD from the University of Birmingham on the role played by Avatollah Sistani in Iraq, following a Bachelor's degree in Politics and Sociology and a Master's degree in Middle East Politics. He is a devoted uncle and husband who, following his diagnosis with multiple sclerosis in 2019, wants to work towards breaking the stigma around disability in our communities. He has started this by leading a multiple sclerosis support group
Join us in conversation with Dr Amina Al-Yassin is a GP with a special interest in child and adolescent mental health. In the U.K. she works within Barnados, Brent CAMHS and primary care to reshape and redesign mental health services for young people. In Iraq, Amina is the director of mental health and well-being programmes for Al-Ayn, Iraq's largest orphan care charity. She is leading on the roll out of network of mental health clinics across the country, providing a much needed infrastructure for mental health. She designed the Hikayati programme which provides bespoke personal development, resilience and mentoring interventions for bereaved children and has achieved an 85% success rate in returning school-leavers to full time education. She is an accredited trainer for Children and War international, Child bereavement U.K. and the youth mental health first aid.

Sister Farzana is a qualified learning disability nurse and social worker with over 20 years experience in health and social care. Farzana has a special interest in mental health, she is a holistic, therapeutic life coach and a practitioner of many different therapies. She is the founder of inspirational minds and Farzana inspires well being, a service set up to support people through a range of life issues.
Naqi is an engineer by qualification, a financial services professional by profession and a sportsman bypassion. He is incredibly passionate about disability inclusion. He is presently ranked 3rd in the world in blind tennis and he has run the London Marathon in the past. He's trying to make sports more inclusive and hopes to be in the Paralympics one day. He's also a firm believer that a positive upbringing of a child can hugely turn their life around for the best and loves sharing his story with parents to encourage them to help their kids lead a life as close to normality as possible.
Fatima Ali is full-time wheelchair user, recent law graduate from SOAS university, currently working as a case worker in a charity law firm helping those detained under immigration power apply for bail.
Azra Hassanali is a speech and language therapist by profession and is an advocate for inclusivity within the communities. She aided the set up and progression of the SEN department of the madrasah and continues to work in changing mindsets.
