Plain Ordinary Dragon was originally born as a concept back in 2006, while I was going through the Dale Carnegie class “How to Win Friends and Influence People”. During one of the exercises, I came to realize just how amazing each and every person in the class was, if, I took the time to really get…

Today we get to talk with licensed counselor, part time actor, & friend of mine, Mark Foster. We met while we were both actors in The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs Arkansas, which, according to their website, happens to be America’s #1 attended outdoor drama. At that time, I was basically an extra who worked his way up to Roman soldier, and I was able to watch Mark from within the organization rise from walk on extra to playing the central figure in the show. I was also able to watch the how the situation evolved & the challenges he ended facing, & ultimately overcoming. This is one of the main reasons I wanted to have him on the show, and he discusses it as we talk about his journey. We also talk bout mental health, financial health, & so many things in between. You can find links to Mark's counseling website & CCOA below: Psychology Today website --> Mark Foster (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/mark-foster-counseling-services-bentonville-ar/202105?fbclid=IwAR1ErT9t5ODsVdVYIr7fhsn57QNmQRs55UF4EqfOgbSTR2JWQMcENQv-l-0) CCOA's Website --> CCOA (https://www.ccoacares.com)
Today we talk with the one & only Lee McCormack. Lee is one of my favorite guys. He is so authentic. So true to himself, and embodies the rock & roll spirit that makes music so great. He’s a spot on drummer & musician, but he’s a better entertainer. On a personal level, this is a bit of a full circle episode for me. Lee is the dude who introduced me to the world of podcasting by having me on his show a couple of years ago. Today we finish up our conversation with Eric Schulte as we discuss anxiety & panic brought on by years of stress. This is an important episode & I hope you find value in it. In the episode Eric mentions the DARE method that was a beginning place for him to start to deal with the challenge he faced. You can find the book & other resources here --> DARE (https://dareresponse.com/product/dare-book/) If you are struggling with anxiety or panic, please know these are real issues & there is help. Feel free to reach out to us if you are feeling helpless in your struggle.
Eric J. Schulte is back again to drop more wisdom bombs! Seriously, there's some good stuff in this episode. You can check out the referenced Deep Work by Cal Newport (https://www.calnewport.com/books/deep-work/) if you want to learn more about that superpower.
Today I have a special treat for you. We are speaking with Eric Schulte. These days he is in the security field of information technology, however, what he really is, is an information technologist extraordinaire with security being his current focus. Now, don’t run off thinking this is going to be a conversation of weird technology terms & words you’ve never heard of being used in sentences you can’t begin to decipher. There is some tech talk, for sure, but it is minimal - especially for us. No, I asked Eric to come on the show to talk about his journey because I’ve been privy to many real & amazing conversations with him in the past, and now in the present, and hopefully in the future - and I wanted to share some of them with you. One of the things people tell me about this podcast is how much they love the real, open, honest conversations - and this is one of those. Eric is also a listener & supporter of this podcast, so it’s nice to hear some about the way it has impacted him as well. Much in the same way I identify as a Jack of all trades or as a Renaissance man, so does Eric. He is on a journey of self discovery, as we all are, but with intention, as some of us are. This is part 1 of a conversation you don’t want to miss. With so many thought provoking ideas swirling around I just can’t wait any longer. Here is part 1 of a plain ordinary conversation with Eric Schulte that is anything but…
