In this episode y buddy Lee and I recap the Beatles "Get Back" three part series that is streaming on Disney Plus. We take a somewhat deep dive into our favourite parts of the documentary. Get Back was made up from many hours of lost footage from the original Doc by the same name that was filmed in 1969. The original movie was criticized for showing a downside of the Beatles as well as documenting their eventual breakup. Peter Jackson took all of this film and showed the lighter side of the band that drink gallons of tea and smoked countless ciggies. every shot is captivating and compelling to any Beatles fan on the planet! BJ raided his record collection at the behest of Lee McCormack, the host of Tramps Like Us: A Bruce Springsteen Podcast, the quest being to find songs that sounded like Bruce Springsteen, and then Lee played 15 of them on his show, so this episode is a co-release with Tramps Like Us.

Another year over, and a new one just begun! Welcome to the third annual best of episode with my guest co host Lee McCormack. Lee is the host of the Tramps Like us Podcast and a very old and dear friend of mine from another lifetime. This year we listened to a bunch of inspirational and conversational sound clips from the year. Lee was in there to chime in with his thoughts and observations. All and all a good episode and a great year for the podcast with more downloads in the 2017 than 2015 & 16 combined. Check Lee's show out on iTunes or at www.trampslikeuspod.com This Episode is brought to you in part by: Beaus All Natural Brewing co. https://beaus.ca/ Full Time I.P.A. In three words: Hoppy, fruity, bold. It's our newest full time brand, which is where we got the name! Tasting notes: Full Time I.P.A. pours hazy deep gold with a dense white foam. Aromas of citrus, tropical fruit and pine abound. The flavour mirrors the aroma impressions with pronounced juicy fruit. A balanced bitterness underpins the flavour. This medium bodied ale finishes dry with lingering hop and fruit notes. Lug Tread In three words: Crisp, balanced, refreshing. Lug Tread is a lagered ale (a term we coined!), it's top-fermented like an ale, and cold-aged like a lager. It's been our flagship brand since we opened in 2006. As of 2017, it's now available in 355ml cans for the first time. It's won more than 20 awards. Tasting notes: Lug-Tread pours a brilliantly clear straw gold, with rocky white foam. A Graham cracker malt character mingles with notes of freshly cut hay and a subtle touch of apple. Sweet, grainy malt is followed by balanced hop bitterness, and the finish is clean and dry. Not only does this episode play dual roles in the RA/OR universe as an episode of both Gettin' Bossy and Worst of... but BJ and Brian Sword are also joined by Lee McCormack, the host of a great Bruce Springsteen centric podcast called Tramps Like Us, for a Worst of Bruce extravaganza which focuses on the low-points (according to us) of the Boss' eighties output.
Perhaps no work of art has such a powerful connection to the horrific and shocking events of September 11th as Bruce Springsteen's The Rising album. Powerful, beautiful, painful, heroic, cathartic, vengeful, unifying, inspiring, brave, vulnerable, fearful, loving... it's all fertile territory and Bruce covers every bit as he responds to the events of September 11th as only the truly great artists can - through his timeless and brilliant work. In this debut of a new sidecast series entitled The Chronicles of This and That, Eric welcomes Lee McCormack of the Tramps Like Us podcast, Kimberly Blatz, and Pods & Sods regular Mr Brian Jacobs for this wonderful conversation about this landmark album, it's meanings, significance and impacts.
