Was diagnosed with Chrons disease at the age of 24 and in 2022 was diagnosed with MS but hasn't let either define her. Sarah came into studio to talk about how she has dealt with both diagnosis and how she holds down a regular job as well as raising awareness about IBS and MS. Sarah has plans to visit 30 countries before she is 30 years of age and has just clocked up number 29 recently, she talks about this, jumping out of airplanes and living with both conditions. Sandra has recently published a book detailing her family's descent from the family of William Wordsworth and also the Lefroy family's intriguing association with Jane Austen. Sandra first spoke to the Local History Society in October 2017—its second-ever talk-and now, nearly nine years later, she returns to share more intriguing family histories. Sandra will also revisit her 2017 talk on The Phoenix, the steam launch built in 1872 for Colonel William Spaight of Limerick and Derrycastle. This remarkable vessel has been owned by the Lefroy family not once but twice. Based for much of her life in Killaloe, The Phoenix has been a home to Sandra and her family and is regarded as one of Ireland's most important heritage boats.
