Brittany shares her extraordinary journey from a challenging conception to a life-changing premature birth experience. After 18 months of trying to conceive with low AMH levels, Brittany and her husband Braden welcomed their son Tulla at just 28 weeks following a dramatic turn of events. What began as routine monitoring for IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction) quickly escalated into preeclampsia, emergency caesarean, and a four-month NICU journey that included heart surgery in Melbourne. Brittany's story is one of resilience, advocacy, and the incredible strength of the parent-baby bond formed in the most challenging circumstances. Hosted on Acast. Clare County Council has requested an independent safety review of two "notorious" junctions on the M18. It comes amid a heightened focus on the Clare stretch of the motorway following a spate of recent collisions. Much of the focus of late has been closer to the south of the county, with five collisions last month occurring between Cratloe and Dromoland. But two junctions further up have consistently been the scene of near misses and road crashes and have prompted the council to call for an independent review. These are the slip roads and exits respectively at Junction 13 Tulla and Junction 14 Barefield, with multiple motorists raising concerns that the stopping distance is too short for exiting and when attempting to merge. Ennis Councillor Antoinette Baker Bashua says it's particularly dangerous for tourists and day visitors. Another elected representative meanwhile believes average speed camers are needed on the N18 specifically to garauntee safe driver behaviour. Cratloe Councillor Pat O'Gorman says local homeowners feel their taking their lives into their own hands every day.
The construction of the Tulla Road Active Travel Scheme in Ennis is expected to take 18 months. Clare County Council has announced that the project will be delivered in seven phases, with the first section from Gort na mBláth to Hillcrest to be completed within approximately 12 weeks. Works will take place from 8am to 6pm on weekdays and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays while works impacting road operation will be carried out from 9:30am to 4:30pm from Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. It's understood a traffic management system will be in place for the duration of the operation, and Clare County Council Senior Executive Engineer Anne O'Sullivan says they'll strive to minimise disruption.
Work is underway on the Tulla Road Active Travel Scheme in Ennis. The project will deliver a continuous 2.2 kilometre primary cycle route and enhanced walking and wheeling facilities on the Tulla Road. Pedestrian crossings are to be upgraded while new crossings will be introduced, junctions will be tightened and various other traffic calming measures will be implemented. Clare County Council estimates the works will take 18 months to complete and has confirmed construction will take place in seven phases, with phase one from Gort na mBláth and Hillcrest expected to take 12 weeks. Clare's Minister of State is not any expecting any sudden challenge to the Taoiseach's leadership. It's understood that 10 members of the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party have signed a document seeking a no confidence motion in Micheál Martin, where 12 are required. Party officials at Fianna Fáil have darwn up an alleged 'rebel' list of those who oppose the Taoiseach's reign, which includes TDs James O'Connor, Paudie O'Sullivan, Seamus McGrath, John Lahart, Erin McGreehan, John McGuinness and Peter Chap Cleere. There's a separate list detailing the "old guard" of Willie O'Dea, Pat 'The Cope' Gallagher and Seán O'Fearghail, who are not behind any heave, but would reportedly welcome change. The developments have been sparked by the Jim Gavin presidential debacle, and now many political analysts are touting Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan as the potential successor. However, Tulla based Minister Timmy Dooley can't see anyone stepping up in the current climate. Micheál Martin has been at the helm of Fianna Fáil for 14 years now, which is the joint second longest reign at the party, tied with Bertie Ahern and only beaten by Éamon De Valera who was in office for 33 years. Despite the controversey of recent weeks, Clare Fianna Fáil TD Cathal Crowe insists that Martin's leadership is not in question and that he intends to lead the party into the next General Election.
