Let us know what's on your mindChange feels different when you can see the road ahead. We take you inside the GAA, LGFA, and Camogie integration push with Mary McAleese's framing of unity as both heritage and strategy, and we map the concrete steps that move this from concept to calendar: a clear mandate from 2022, provincial roadshows for real feedback, and defined milestones through 2027 when the unified association will come to life.We break down what structural unity actually means on the ground. You'll hear how the One Club model informs county and provincial governance, why a single membership and unified injury fund can unlock transparency, and how subcommittees for competitions, youth, culture, coaching, and county teams provide the grip for daily delivery. We also get candid about transition bumps—aligning presidential roles, updating player protocols, and translating equal versus equitable funding into policies that feel fair to clubs of every size, from intercounty powerhouses to community teams training under rented floodlights. The practical detail matters as much as the vision. We outline the July target for final structures and codes of practice, the August motions, the October special congresses, and the first combined Congress in 2028. It's hoped Clare's camogie side will stake an early claim for promotion from Division 1B this weekend. Eugene Foudy's side welcome fellow promotion hopefuls Wexford to Clareabbey on Saturday afternoon following a battling draw against Dublin in their opening round game. The visitors recorded an emphatic 2-14 to 0-8 win over Offaly last week and will be bolstered by the return of key player Anais Curran this weekend. The Banner came out on top of two close encounters when the sides met last year and Clare FM analyst Anne Marie McGann expects there to be nothing between the teams again.

Clare camogie boss Eugene Foudy is hailing the character his side showed to avoid defeat in round 1 of the National Camogie League. The Banner came way from Abbotstown with a draw in their Division 1B opener against Dublin who were relegated from the top tier last year. Clare twice trailed in additional time at the end of the second half, however scores from Lorna McNamara and Aoife Anderson brought Clare level both times. Foudy says his side never faltered when it looked like things were going against them.
Clare's senior camogie squad are hoping to capitalise on early positive momentum in the National League. The Banner came back from behind to secure a 1-13 to 0-16 draw against Dublin in their opening round on Saturday, with Lorna McNamara finding the net. Next up for Clare is a clash against Wexford, who got off the mark defeating Offaly. Joint Captain Claire Hehir is confident the opening test will stand to them.
Clare Camogie has announced an exciting new sponsorship deal, partnering with well-known Clare GAA sponsor Pat O'Donnell. The new backing is seen as a major boost for the county's camogie setup, with senior joint captains Clare Hehir and Abby Walsh joining Pat O'Donnell for the official launch. For more on this development, Sally-Ann Barrett was delighted to chat with Fergal O'Brien, Chairperson. Photo (c) Clare GAA
