What do Abraham, circumcision, an olive tree, 23andMe, the modern state of Israel, and Canadians have in common? Against all odds, they all made it into this episode of The Deep End. We're wading into one of the easiest topics Christians ever discuss: Israel. What could possibly go wrong? What does the Bible actually mean by “God's chosen people”? Is biblical Israel the same thing as the modern nation of Israel? Did the Church replace Israel? Was the creation of Israel in 1948 a fulfillment of prophecy? Does “I will bless those who bless you” mean Christians—or America—are biblically required to support the modern Israeli government? And where do Jewish and Gentile followers of Jesus fit into all of this? To get there, we go all the way back to Abraham, work through Jesus and Paul, take an unexpectedly long detour into circumcision, do a little horticulture in Romans 11, and eventually make it to 1948. And underneath all of those questions is an even bigger one: Can God be trusted to keep His promises? This one may challenge some things you've been taught. It may confirm others. God's glory shines through us best when we are one with Him and one with one another. In the fight, in the pain and in the victory.

Once you resolve that God's Glory is your biggest concern and are ready to submit to His glory being revealed through you its time to step into God sized stories.

What do Billy Graham, the King James Bible, the Dead Sea Scrolls, animal sacrifices, and a five-legged goat have in common? Somehow, they all ended up in this episode of The Deep End. We start by asking whether the Christianity we inherited is wrong—or simply incomplete. Then we wade into the deep stuff: Can we really trust modern Bible translations? How did we end up with so many denominations? Why does the Bible involve so much blood and sacrifice? And was the cross really about an angry God demanding someone die—or is something much bigger happening in the biblical story? From Leviticus and Passover to the cross and resurrection, this conversation might challenge some assumptions you didn't even know you had—and give you a much bigger picture of what Jesus actually came to accomplish. Oh, and apparently Justin may be starting a motorcycle cult. So there's that.

In Episode 1 of The Deep End, Ron, Justin, and Megan go back to Eden and ask what Genesis actually says versus what we may have assumed. From the serpent and the Tree of Life to the image of God, free will, and why God allowed a choice in the first place, we follow the story from Eden to the new creation and discover what it means to be truly human.

God's glory should be our greatest concern.

Our final hope is God with us forever.

Salvation restores God With Us by creating a new humanity where God is present through His Spirit.

Jesus overcomes everything that would stand between God With Us.

Exile is death, but God's answer is resurrection.

God's people didn't just need freedom—they needed a faithful King.

Salvation restores God's purpose.

Salvation is the gracious work of the King to rescue His people and restore His presence to His people in His place for His purpose.

We all know we need to be saved or rescued from something that has to do with each of us… We just don't know what it is about us that needs to be saved. What exactly are we saved from?

Are you saved? It's a common Christian question and most Christians want to know but are afraid to ask and to tell the truth, are not really sure what it means.

God is calling you to be His, all the way His. His people advancing His Kingdom, proving His presence in this world as He prepares His place… all for His glory. How are you doing with that?

Many biblical references mention “the Kingdom of God,” but few people seem to know what it is. Jesus preached about the Kingdom of God more than any other topic during His life and ministry. What is a proper view of the kingdom and why is it important?

Do you know why God put you on this planet? Cus He did. Or why He would put you in His church? Cus that's where He wants you. Why should you even care to know?

Faith in Jesus changes everything. Faith changes the way we see, the way we live, and even our future. However, faith demands a response today not tomorrow.

The Way of Jesus is a life marked by true worship, true obedience, true hope, true integrity, true generosity, and true courage.

Wherever God leads you in life whether it be family, work, ministry, or anything else, He will provide whatever is necessary to accomplish it. But it is up to us to stay close enough to recognise His guidance and see His provision.
