In verses 8 thru 12 of 2Peter chapter 3, Peter turns his attention to these beloved believers in the Savior. Here he writes concerning the Lord's perspective on time, the coming of the Day of the Lord and the Day of God. Dr. Mitchell states that God's time and man's time are two different things. What man counts as slowness is actually God being patient with us not willing that any should perish. Dr. Mitchell emphasizes the Word of God and it's importance for each person. It prevents unbelief. Paul writes that "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of Christ." Rom.10:17 Let's join Dr. Mitchell in 2nd Peter 3:8 on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast.

November 23, 2024 Daily Devotion: "A Lifelong Promise: God's Faithfulness from Birth to Old Age" Isaiah 46:4 New Living Translation 4 I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. Daniel had been in Babylon for over sixty years at this point. King Nebuchadnezzar had died, and King Belshazzar, his son, now reigned. Babylon may have been under siege, yet Belshazzar decided to hold a feast! The city was well fortified, and they had good stores of food. This was his way of showing he was not concerned. The proud heart of the younger King Nebuchadnezzar was displayed in Belshazzar. Belshazzar, though, did not learn from his father's later years. As the party progressed, Belshazzar decided to bring in the gold and silver vessels Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple in Jerusalem. They could use them to drink and praise their gods. God stepped into this idolatrous revelry. Immediately, a hand appeared and started writing on the wall. The king went weak at the knees but none of his wise men could understand the writing. His mother came in and tried to calm her son. She reminded him of Daniel. When the king offered money and position for interpreting the writing, Daniel refused the gift. Daniel knew that the power, positions, and acclaim of this world wouldn't last. His focus was fixed on God and His eternal kingdom. All these years after being taken from his home in Jerusalem, Daniel knew that God is the one who sustained, carried, and rescued Him. Sometimes we can wonder, “Can I keep going in this Christian life?” It's so hard at times, and we can easily get distracted by other things. We question, “Will I be able to be faithful right to the end?” The answer is yes! How can we be sure? Because it is God who saves you, holds you, and keeps you. He has given believers His Holy Spirit who empowers us to persevere. God is faithful and able to keep you until the last day.

Title: Psalm 91: A Pentatonic Promise Host: Pastor S. Geoffrey Monts Introduction: Good morning, good morning, good morning. This is the Impact Man, and you know what time it is. It is time to rise and grind. Grab your cup of coffee, grab your device, and let's get into this word. Today, we are diving into Psalm 91 and uncovering the powerful promises of God. Episode Summary: In this episode of Morning Meditation for Men, Pastor S Geoffrey Monts takes us through Psalm 91, emphasizing the importance of positioning ourselves in God's presence and His precious promises. Pastor Monts breaks down Psalm 91 into four key "notes"—position, protection, provision, and power—and reveals the fifth note: God's divine PROMISE. This promise assures us that when we call on Him, He will answer, show up, deliver us, and honor us. Pastor Monts enriches the discussion with additional scripture references and a powerful prayer to wrap up the session. Key Takeaways: Position: He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will find rest and security (Psalm 91:1). Protection: God will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings, you will find refuge (Psalm 91:4). Provision: No harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent (Psalm 91:10). Power: You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent (Psalm 91:13). Promise: God promises to answer, be with us in trouble, deliver, and honor us (Psalm 91:15-16). Biblical Scriptures: Psalm 91 Isaiah 43:2-3 John 14:1-3 Zephaniah 3:17 1 John 1:9 Jeremiah 29:11 Summarized Thought: In the midst of life's challenges, God's promises are steadfast. By positioning ourselves in His presence and trusting in His divine protection, provision, and power, we unlock the ultimate promise of His unfailing support and deliverance. Remember, God's promise transcends all—He will be with you, answer you, deliver you, and honor you. Call on Him today and experience His saving power in your life. Invitation: Join us for the 2024 Marriage After the Wedding Retreat from November 8th to 11th in Orlando, Florida. Strengthen your relationship and deepen your connection with God and other couples. For more information, contact Coretta Monts at 804-938-1919 or email her at coretta.monts@gmail.com. Spaces are limited, so secure your spot today. Thank you for tuning in to Morning Meditation for Men with Pastor S. Geoffrey Monts. Stay blessed, stay focused, and remember, with long life, He will satisfy you and show you His salvation. Amen! Faith Will Be Our Currency • Sunday Service To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give New Book: www.PastorToddBook.com Website: www.PastorTodd.org Church website: www.RRCNashville.org "Faith Will Be Our Currency" In Christian eschatology, the "end times" refer to a period preceding the second coming of Christ. It's believed that during this time, believers will face unprecedented trials and challenges, testing their faith like never before. This concept is based on various biblical passages and themes: 1. **Increased Persecution**: The Bible predicts that believers will face increased persecution and hardship. Scriptures like Matthew 24:9 speak of believers being handed over to be persecuted and killed, and Revelation 2:10 mentions imprisonment and trials for the faithful. 2. **Great Deception**: The end times are characterized by widespread deception. False prophets and messiahs will appear, deceiving even the elect if possible (Matthew 24:24). This environment of deception will test the discernment and steadfastness of believers. 3. **Moral Decay and Lawlessness**: A decline in moral standards and a rise in lawlessness are prophesied (2 Timothy 3:1-5). Believers must maintain their integrity and faith amidst a society drifting away from biblical values. 4. **Spiritual Warfare**: Ephesians 6:12 indicates a heightened spiritual battle against the forces of darkness. Believers will need to rely on their spiritual armor and faith in God to withstand these challenges. 5. **The Love of Many Growing Cold**: Due to increased wickedness, the love of many will grow cold (Matthew 24:12). Maintaining a heart of love, compassion, and faith in such an environment will be a significant test. 6. **Tribulation and Trials**: The Book of Revelation describes a period of tribulation, marked by natural disasters, wars, famines, and other catastrophes. These events will challenge believers to trust in God's sovereignty and goodness. 7. **The Test of Faithfulness**: In Luke 18:8, Jesus asks, “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” This suggests a testing of genuine faith and perseverance. 8. **The Call for Endurance**: Revelation 14:12 calls for the endurance of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. This implies that maintaining faith and obedience will be challenging yet crucial. Abraham, often referred to as the "Father of Faith," is renowned for his exemplary faith in the Bible. His life offers several profound examples suitable for a sermon on faith: ### 1. Leaving His Homeland (Genesis 12:1-4) - **Call to Leave**: Abraham (then Abram) was called by God to leave his homeland, Haran, for a land that God would show him. - **Faith in Action**: Despite not knowing the destination, Abraham obeyed immediately, demonstrating faith in God's promise and guidance. ### 2. Belief in God's Promise of a Son (Genesis 15:1-6) - **Promise of Descendants**: God promised Abraham, who was childless and advanced in age, that he would have descendants as numerous as the stars. - **Unwavering Belief**: Abraham believed God's promise, and it was counted to him as righteousness. His faith did not waver despite his and Sarah's old age. ### 3. The Birth of Isaac (Genesis 21:1-7) - **Fulfillment of Promise**: God's promise was fulfilled when Sarah bore Isaac. Abraham was 100 years old at that time. - **Testament to Faith**: The birth of Isaac in their old age was a direct result of their faith in God's promise. ### 4. The Sacrifice of Isaac (Genesis 22:1-18) - **Ultimate Test of Faith**: God tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice Isaac, his long-awaited son. - **Willingness to Obey**: Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac demonstrated his absolute trust and obedience to God. He believed God could even raise the dead (Hebrews 11:17-19). - **God's Provision**: At the last moment, God provided a ram for the sacrifice, sparing Isaac. This event is a powerful example of faith and trust in God's provision. ### 5. Seeking a Wife for Isaac (Genesis 24) - **Ensuring the Promise Continues**: Abraham ensured that Isaac did not marry a woman from Canaan but from his own relatives, trusting God's promise concerning his descendants. - **Guided by Faith**: His servant, guided by prayer and faith, found Rebekah, aligning with God's plan. ### Sermon Points: - **Faith in the Unknown**: Abraham's journey is a model of trusting God even when the path is unclear. - **Faith Against Odds**: His belief in God's promise about Isaac, against all odds, highlights that faith often defies human logic. - **Obedience in Faith**: Abraham's readiness to sacrifice Isaac shows that true faith is often tested and proven in obedience. - **Legacy of Faith**: Abraham's life demonstrates that faith has a lasting impact, influencing generations. Abraham's story teaches that faith involves trust in God's promises, obedience to His commands, and the belief that God will fulfill His word, even when circumstances seem impossible. His life is an enduring testimony to the power and significance of faith. Here are ten scriptures from the New King James Version (NKJV) of the Bible that emphasize standing firm in faith and not backing down in the face of enemy attacks or discouragement: 1. **Ephesians 6:13** - "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." 2. **1 Corinthians 16:13** - "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong." 3. **James 4:7** - "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." 4. **1 Peter 5:8-9** - "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith..." 5. **Isaiah 54:17** - "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord." 6. **2 Timothy 1:7** - "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 7. **Joshua 1:9** - "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." 8. **Psalm 18:39** - "For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me." 9. **Philippians 4:13** - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." 10. **Psalm 44:5** - "Through You we will push down our enemies; Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us." These scriptures collectively inspire believers to stand firm in their faith, resist fear and discouragement, and trust in the strength and support that God provides in the face of adversity. Without faith, we can't please God.

We are living during the Entrance of the EndTimes. More and more demonic activities are being manifested: in government, in the arts, in religion, and in media. Just look backwards for three years! Due to the sudden shift in the spiritual climate I am directed by God to warn you to make sure you use FAITH and PRAYER in your decision making. Also, to be sure of the decisions you are making: short and long term. Do NOT open yourself to demonic activity, oppression, or the results of making a decision which could subject you to attacks on your body, mind, spirit, relationships or your finances. Stay under the Anointing of God's Spirit … follow your heart as God leads you. ____________________________________ MAKING DECISIONS … KNOW FOR SUREIF YOU'RE NOT SURE … DON'T If you're NOT sure ... then don't!  Do NOT make rash decisions. This is one of the greatest lessons I have learned in life. Stay in the "peace" zone!!! When you feel pressured to do something ... if you do NOT have peace about it―WAIT―do NOT go forward. It is better to be at peace―to stay in the "peace zone" rather than to go ahead―even if it looks good! This can be a trick of the enemy to get you in bondage and mental duress. Pray about the situation. Do NOT let people, even friends, coerce you or persuade you to take action IF you do NOT have peace about the situation. I promised God one time that I would never do anything, or take action concerning anything, that I was NOT sure about.  If I had a question about the situation, or if I did NOT have peace, I promised God that I would NOT go forward. The reason I made this promise to God was that I got into a very difficult, and emotionally trying situation, as a result of a FAST―or, rash―decision that I made. Lots of times people are emotionally distressed because of such uncertain behavior: going ahead of God! For help with depression, study my teaching, "Healing Mental Disease and Depression." Nothing can bind you if you will follow your heart and listen to God. I am going to tell you WHAT to do if you are bound and have lost peace―that is, you have become emotionally disturbed―as a result of “going ahead of God.” First, PROMISE God that you will NEVER do anything again unless you have peace about it. That is, you will make NO rash decisions.God loves you, my friend, and He does NOT want you bound by unwise decisions and actions. He paid the GREATEST price―the gift of His Son, Messiah Yeshua―that you could be FREE! Second, ASK God to turn the situation around and smite Satan through it, and give you a BLESSING in spite of what you have done. Ask God for mercy. Read Micah Chapter 7, verses 7 thru 10 in the Tanakh (the Hebrew Old Testament). Third, give a GIFT to God. As a result of God turning this situation around, and for His mercy and kindness in restoring you, promise God AHEAD OF TIME that you will give him a certain, specific gift ... or that you will take a certain, specific action of love and/or sacrifice as a GIFT to Him. Fourth, THANK God ahead of time―and every day―for His deliverance that He is going to show you. He WILL show Himself strong in your behalf IF YOU are sincere.   I trust this teaching will help you, my friend. I learned the SECRET I have shared with you the HARD WAY. And through the years, I have seen the manifold mercies of God as a result of what He taught me―even through my RASH decisions―even decisions that looked good, or that other people thought were good, but that I did NOT have peace about when I made them.   Yes, stay in “the zone” where you experience continual freedom: the “peace zone.” Once there, stay there ... don't let anyone or anything get you out of the zone. And if you need some help with direction, here are some scriptures for you: Psalm 27:11 Jeremiah 42:3 I Kings 19:9-12 Isaiah 30:21 Now in additon I want you to learn HOW to follow your heart for those times when you NEED to make a decision BUT would like more assurance from God or His Holy Wordl Click on the links below: Follow Your Heart - Part 1 Follow Your Heart - Part 2 Follow Your Heart - Part 3 Decision Making 101 (Book by Prince Handley) I trust this teaching will help you, my friend. Now you go encourage, heal AND help others! Mark continued the Study of the Minor Prophets with the book of Micah. He characterized Micah as a concept book focusing on three aspects: 1. Authenticity: Good and evil lead to different places. Micah is authentic to this reality.  2. Justice:  Justice is more than a courtroom. Justice is part of God's character. Micah understood good and evil and how it applied to life. Consistency is key. 3. Promise: God is on the other side of every door. Jesus is the promised one. Listen to Mark explain that we have nothing to fear with God on our side. God will bring purity and peace. His resume is perfect. We are people of the book and should understand authenticity and truth and how it applies to our lives today. Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God.

How important are our choices? When we look back at David's failures, we get the answer: very important. In this Sunday episode, special guest Pastor Jonathan Laurie reminds us that our actions not only impact us, but also our children. With them, we lay their foundation. Tune in to see how you can ensure it's a sturdy one! Notes The way we walk matters. “The chastening hand of a loving heavenly Father is a very different thing from the judging hand of a holy God.” —Alan Redpath The choices we make matter.  1. The Death of David and Bathsheba's First Son  The hope of Heaven guarantees a reunion. 2. The Rape of Tamar Monogamy is God's original and best design. We cannot pretend that our actions do not affect those around us.  When you engage in sin, it is easy to see the same sin in others, but hard to correct. 3. The Murder of Amnon  4. The Rebellion and Death of Absalom  Then Joab came to Absalom at his house and demanded, "Why did your servants set my field on fire?" —2 Samuel 14:31–33  So Joab told the king what Absalom had said. Then at last David summoned Absalom, who came and bowed low before the king, and the king kissed him. Our actions today lay the foundation upon which our children and our descendants will build their lives. The Promise: God does not just sweep life away; instead, He devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from Him.
