Challenges are inevitable in life. What separates a winner from the rest is how they handle these challenges and obstacles. Over the years, there's one thing I found has helped me tremendously in improving my overall confidence, that is the ability to show up despite failures. I have been doing it for years since I was young without even realizing the benefits of such simple (yet difficult) act. Learning how to regulate my emotions was an important key to my mental health and my over all confidence. Strong emotional regulation skills can enhance long-term wellbeing, improve performance at work, enrich personal relationships, and even lead to better overall health. But it can be intense when you start out and you have gotten used to suppressing your emotions for a long time. Music is the perfect bridge to "intentionally" guide you through the process. This time I have my dear friend Krista Mesenbrink who is a music therapist here to talk all how music can help you regulate your emotions. Being dumped isn't ever easy... Being dumped before the holiday... NEVER easy and this is what I have to say about it.
This episode is a reminder. A reminder for us of who we are. And what we deserve. As we go through our lives. We get hurt by what others say and do to us that we take those moments upon ourselves, pile it up and let it form our identity. And slowly we withdraw to avoid the pain keep coming.
If you want to be confident, you don’t need to change the world. You just need to change yourself and the way you interact with the world. Adopting a positive self-image is not about feeling good and expecting everything to work out just fine. A positive self-image is about believing in your own ability to interact with the world in a positive way. A positive self-image gives you the best chance to create the life you desire. It requires a lot of hard work and commitment but with a positive self-image, you stop sabotaging yourself. Improving self-image will improve how you manage yourself, how you manage your relationships, how you perform in work and life.In this episode, we're looking at how one can change their self-image and therefore, improve their self-confidence. Today’s topic I want to talk about is confidence and the cause to why you lack a true confidence. We all know confidence is crucial in every area of our lives whether it’s career, social or relationships. The reason why you might be lacking in confidence is that you have a poor self-imageIn order to have true confidence, you need to have a healthy self-image. Self-image refers to the way you view yourself. The way you view yourself affects both your belief that you can do something and your willingness to actually do it. You can have all the positive intentions in the world but if you place limitations on yourself, you will struggle to break through them. That means you take little to no actions, thus produce poor or no results. Which in turns, confirm what you believe and how you feel about yourself. In this episode today we are going to look at how having a poor self-image can make you hold yourself back. As a result, affecting your levels of confidence.
I’ve talked to so many people about what I wanted to do and who it is that I want to serve. And when I mentioned the word Petite, almost every person has a very narrow definition of what it means. So I wanted to do this episode to bust all the myths about being a petite so that you can get a better understand your own body shape and size, dress accordingly to enhance your figure, look your best and feel your best. *listen before you click on this link*Here is a picture of Ariana Grande in a not so balance pair of high heels:http://cdn-wpmsa.defymedia.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2014/06/ariana-grande-performing-at-the-i-heart-radio-awards.jpg

My entire life I have been so afraid of rejections and failure. If I get rejected, make mistakes, or get a silent treatment aka no response; It makes me feel like an unlovable person. For years, I stopped myself from doing a lot of stuffs that I wanted because I let that fear stopped me. But I've realized as I walked my walk on the road of building my business, I needed to do the things that I'm fearful the most. So I did. Listen to me figuring and handling rejections and failure like anything but perfect. But what I do hope you taking from this is a little more faith, resiliency and compassion for yourself.
