I am giving you the shifts I used to change how I saw andinteracted with myself. Fair warning, they are not flowery, Pinterest worthy quotes… In this episode, we will cover: - Why identity change comes before motivation, not after- The psychology behind why every action is a "vote" for who you're becoming- The "become her" reframe and how to use itstarting today- A first look at the three identity shifts to change your mindset — going deeper on the live call- Three questions to sit with all week to kick off Sexy September Use the link below to join the Live Zoom Call (Saturday,September 5th at 9 am ET) or to grab the Live Replay: Resources Mentioned: Sexy September Zoom / Recording linkssssss: JOIN FOR ALL SESSIONS:https://newyorksportandfitness.lpages.co/sexy-september-4-week-series/ JOIN FOR 1 WEEK:https://newyorksportandfitness.lpages.co/sexy-september-weekly/ Schedule a Session: https://www.heathermaio.com/coaching-options Not Another Diet Book: https://www.amazon.com/Not-Another-Diet-Book-learning/dp/B0B45Q4CLH/
Social anxiety can make you want to cancel plans, avoid difficult conversations, stay quiet in meetings, or say no to opportunities you actually want. In this episode of the Decide Your Legacy Podcast, Adam shares a simple three step strategy for facing social anxiety instead of letting it control your decisions. It starts with your mindset. What are you focusing on when you walk into a situation? Everything that could go wrong, or the opportunities that could come from showing up? Next, create a plan. Preparation can dramatically change how you approach an uncomfortable conversation, meeting, event, presentation, date, or new experience. Finally, get in the arena and engage. Real change happens when you stop avoiding the situation and give yourself the opportunity to gather new evidence about what you're actually capable of.Adam shares his own experiences with anxiety, practical ways to prepare for social situations, the importance of curiosity, breathing, flexibility, and why even rejection can become an opportunity to build resilience. If social anxiety has been keeping you from relationships, opportunities, conversations, or experiences you know you should pursue, start with these three steps.Mindset. Plan. Engage.Pick one situation you've been avoiding and give the process a try. You decide your legacy. Nobody else.RSVP to the Upcoming Self Confidence Workshop HERE_____________________________TAKE THE NEXT STEP!Conversation starters are helpful, but the deeper issue is often courage. Mark explains the fundamental differences between Amazon's intent-based selling and Shopify's cold traffic environment, emphasizing the need for brand storytelling. He challenges the common obsession with ROAS, introducing the "holy trinity" of metrics: Customer Acquisition Cost, Lifetime Value, and Average Order Value. Mark also highlights the importance of retention marketing and authentic customer relationships, sharing real success and failure stories to illustrate how strategy, not tactics, drives sustainable e-commerce growth. Here are the 3 action items that Josh identified from this episode:Shift from “conversion” to “connection” Stop treating Shopify like Amazon. Build demand through storytelling, content, and brand experience—optimize for trust and engagement before expecting conversions.Scale with the right metrics (not ROAS) Track and optimize your CAC:LTV:AOV triangle. Aim for a 1:3 CAC:LTV ratio, and be willing to accept lower short-term ROAS to acquire high-value customers.Increase AOV + retention to unlock profit Bundle products, upsell, and improve post-purchase experience. Why does it feel like nothing actually gets resolved even after you've calmed down? You've named the cycle. You've caught the flood before it swept you under. You've slowed down enough to see the story your brain was telling you. But there's still one more step nobody talks about — going back in. This week, Jill closes out the "Why You Keep Having the Same Fight" series with The Conversation: a simple, four-question framework for coming back to a hard conversation with clarity instead of chaos.Using Mark and Christy's story one final time, Jill walks through what it actually looks like to sit back down after a rupture — not to relitigate who was right, but to understand each other. She unpacks why "acting normal again" isn't repair, why silence lets resentment go underground, and why the goal was never a fight-free marriage in the first place. It was always this: learning how to find your way back.In This Episode:- The four questions that turn a conversation from circular to clear: What are we actually talking about? What are we trying to accomplish? What was happening in your model? What's underneath this?- Why skipping straight to the "topic" keeps you stuck in the same fight- What Mark and Christy discovered was underneath 100 different arguments about 100 different things- Why real repair is small, specific, and frequent — not one perfect conversation- The Gottman research on repair attempts and relationship stability- How to have this conversation even if you're the only one showing up for itKey Takeaways:Repair isn't the absence of conflict — it's what you do after. And you don't need your spouse, sister, or friend to be doing this work alongside you for your half of it to matter. When you change how you move in the cycle, the whole cycle has to reorganize. This episode closes out the four-part series "Why You Keep Having the Same Fight." Some hit me hard this year alone. All of them are things I wish someone had handed me a decade ago instead of making me learn the hard way. This episode is personal, it's unfiltered (you know how we do), and it might just be the nudge you need heading into your next season. Grab your coffee and let's get into it.Inside the episode:Why it's never too late to rebuild your life, and the surprising 2025 pop culture example I can't stop thinking aboutThe uncomfortable truth about who you should (and shouldn't) be taking advice from, and why I'm calling out a pattern I see way too oftenThe mindset shift that finally made my own fertility journey feel like ease instead of resistance and how identity work changes everything before behavior doesReady to actually rebuild? This is where you start. My Secure Rebuild Birthday Bundle is going away soon, Identity Reset, the Boundaries Queen audio course, and Secure. Soft. Magnetic. (my private podcast), all at 50% off. If you're in a season of becoming, this bundle was built for exactly that.
What if you're not actually indecisive? What if you're taking in so much information that you can't hear yourself anymore? For empaths, making a decision can mean processing far more than the decision itself. There's what you want - and then there's someone else's disappointment, your partner's opinion, your family's expectations, another reading, another podcast, another Reddit thread, another certification, and one more attempt to get absolutely certain before you move. In this episode of Your Yes Filled Life, Brenda shares how she knew as early as 2000 that teaching was no longer sustainable for her... and then spent 22 more years finding her way out. She explores what happened when she allowed other people's opinions about her career to become more valuable information than her own lived experience. You'll learn three ways to begin separating what you actually know from all the additional information you're processing: Capture what you know before you poll the room. Stop automatically treating someone else's reaction as information about your decision. Notice when “I need more information” may actually mean “I want certainty.” Brenda also shares a client story about what changed when one woman developed enough nervous-system capacity to stop organizing her choices around other people's reactions, and what Brenda is noticing among people who repeatedly seek another reading or answer even after they've already received one. Because self-trust doesn't mean knowing the right answer every time. It means trusting yourself to respond to what happens after you choose. ✨ YES TO ME happens live September 15 from 6–8 PM Pacific. Bring the decision, relationship, boundary, opportunity, change, or desire you've been circling. You don't need to arrive knowing your answer. You can come fully in the wobble. Most traders don't fail because of bad charts. They fail because of the beliefs driving their decisions. In this solo episode of Talking Trading, Louise Bedford breaks down the five mindset shifts that separate inconsistent traders from those who trade with clarity, discipline, and confidence. This isn't motivational talk. It's practical trading psychology - the kind that directly affects risk management, execution, and long-term results. In this episode, you'll learn:The phrases traders use that quietly sabotage performance - and what to say insteadWhy “I don't have time” is a belief problem, not a scheduling problemHow language shapes trading behaviour and risk decisionsWhy confidence only comes after actionThe powerful '80-year-old question' that cuts through fear and hesitationLouise also explains positive arbitrage - why investing in the right education creates a permanent upgrade in how you think, decide, and trade. If you're frustrated by inconsistency, second-guessing, or stalled progress, this episode will help you reset how you approach trading - calmly, deliberately, and with structure.Talking Trading is the podcast for time-poor Australian traders who want clarity, structure, and better decisions in the sharemarket.Visit www.talkingtrading.com.au for more resources.-------------------------------------------------------Tell a friend about us!I'll bet you know someone who would love the Talking Trading show. If you're constantly overthinking, doubting yourself, or believing every negative thought your brain gives you, this episode is for you. In this episode of The Mindset Babe Podcast, we're breaking down a simple mindset shift that will help you stop letting negative thoughts control how you feel about yourself and your life. You'll learn:
Why do you keep reacting the same way in conflict — even when you're trying not to?Most of the time, the fight isn't really about what it looks like on the surface. It's about the meaning you're making. When your husband says something that lands wrong, your brain moves fast — it takes his words and turns them into a story. About him. About you. About whether you're loved, seen, or alone. And that story drives everything that happens next.In this episode, Jill teaches a tool called "sitting far" — the CTFAR model — that helps you slow down and separate what actually happened from the meaning you assigned to it. You'll learn to identify the one thought underneath your reaction, trace how it created a feeling, drove your actions, and produced a result that confirmed the story you started with. Then you'll build a new, intentional model — one that opens the door to a different conversation entirely. This is part three of the series Why You Keep Having the Same Fight and sits inside the regulation phase of the Flood Plan. It's the inside work that makes going back into the hard conversation actually possible. In This Episode•How to use journaling to process what happened before you try to analyze it•What the CTFAR model is and how to walk through it step by step•Why the result of your unintentional model always loops back to prove your original thought•How to identify one thought — not five — and examine it honestly•Two directions for building an intentional model when you're not ready to think generously about your spouse•Why feeling seen by God is often the bridge between where you are and where you want to beKey Takeaways•The circumstance doesn't create your feelings — your thought about the circumstance does•You can enter the CTFAR model from the feeling, the action, or the thought — wherever you have the most clarity•Sometimes the generous thought toward your spouse is too far to reach right now, and that's okay•You can have a thought that helps you feel settled in yourself before you can have a thought that opens curiosity toward him•Regulation isn't just calming your body — it's also understanding the story you were telling when you floodedSeries NoteThis is Episode 3 of 4 in the series Why You Keep Having the Same Fight. Have you ever looked in the mirror and said, "I am confident. I am abundant. I love my body," while a voice inside you immediately responded, "Yeah...no you don't"? If affirmations have ever made you feel like a fraud instead of making you feel empowered, this episode is for you. I LOVE mindset work. I believe our thoughts shape our lives. But I've learned that repeating words your brain doesn't believe can actually create more internal resistance. The problem isn't affirmations. It's the gap between what you're saying and what you actually believe. In this episode, I'm breaking down how to close that gap and use affirmations in a way your brain can actually get behind. We're talking about: • Why traditional affirmations sometimes leave us feeling worse instead of better • The connection between identity, behavior, and the results we're creating • How to use "bridge affirmations" like "I'm becoming," "I'm learning," and "more and more" • Why confidence comes from evidence, not simply repeating words • How keeping small promises to yourself changes your identity • Why affirmations without action create frustration • How to use your past wins as evidence of who you already are • The question you can ask TODAY to start becoming the woman you want to be This is especially powerful in midlife because so many of us are deciding who we want to be in this next chapter. We're not starting over. We're becoming. And you don't need to convince yourself that you're someone you're not. You need to start creating evidence for the woman you know you're here to become. Your life doesn't change because you repeated the perfect words. It changes one aligned action at a time. Listen now, and send this episode to the friend who has a bathroom mirror covered in sticky notes.
Send me a messageIt's easy to get stuck in a loop of negative thinking. Overthinking, complaining, replaying old pain. Some of us live there for years. This is the simplest gratitude practice I know for getting out.Think of one thing you love. A person, an object, anything at all. Then ask what made it. And then what made that. Keep going, and gratitude stops being something we have to search for. It becomes impossible to avoid. That one question opens into everything else here — presence, impermanence, the oneness of all things, and what the traditions call enlightenment, which is nothing more mysterious than an awareness wide enough to see how it all connects.Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, everything is recycled, rising and falling. And nothing we truly love is ever lost.If you've been looking for a way to stop overthinking, quiet a critical mind, or just find one thing to be grateful for on a hard day, start at the beginning and go slowly.CHAPTERS0:00 The loop we get stuck in0:57 Start with one favorite thing1:38 Now ask what made them2:41 Infinite things made everything3:38 Gratitude with nothing left out5:36 Where did all of it come from7:01 There is no past and no future8:19 There is no future happiness9:13 Life is like waiting for test results9:51 The breath is the doorway11:00 Choosing where we rest our attention12:03 Expanded awareness15:42 The fight on the sidewalk and the view from space16:18 We are not one small life17:07 How consciousness rises19:20 The practice20:02 This is enlightenmentPlease enjoy other episodes where I share meditation techniques, tips and spiritual lessons from around the world for peaceful and stress-free living. Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or like your brain is constantly thinking about everything you need to do?In this episode of The Mindset Babe Podcast, I'm sharing one simple mindset shift that has brought me so much peace. When your brain is focused on what's missing, what needs to get done, how far behind you feel, or everything that could go wrong, it's easy to spiral into anxiety and overwhelm. In this episode, you'll learn:
Why do I shut down — or can't stop talking — when things get heated? You understood the conversation before it started. You knew what you wanted to say. And then something happened — your brain went offline, your words came out wrong, or nothing came out at all. You walked away wondering why you couldn't just hold it together. That's not a character flaw. That's flooding. And until you understand what it's actually doing to your body, it's almost impossible to change what happens next.In this episode, Jill breaks down the neuroscience of emotional flooding, why productive conversation becomes nearly impossible once it hits, and why it doesn't always look the way you think. The loud version is easy to spot. The quiet version — the one that looks like calm, like two people who just don't fight — that one's trickier. And just as worth paying attention to.You'll walk away understanding your own flooding signature and with a practical five-step Flood Plan you can use before your brain shuts down and your mouth takes over.In This EpisodeWhat emotional flooding is and what it does to your brain and bodyThe four flooding responses: fight, flight, freeze, and shutdownWhy the quiet version of flooding is the easiest to missHow to identify your personal flooding signatureThe five steps of the Flood PlanHow the first two steps of the FEEL method help you find and stay with emotion in real timeKey TakeawaysFlooding is physiological — once it hits, your brain literally cannot do what you're asking it to doShutdown looks like calm but it's still floodingA pause only works if both people trust you're coming backThe person who calls the timeout re-initiates — within 30 minutes to 24 hoursRegulation means feeling the emotion, not replaying the argumentSeries Note This is Episode 2 of the four-part series Why You Keep Having the Same Fight. It's the 250th episode of Moms Overcoming Overwhelm! To celebrate, I'm sharing 25 questions to ask yourself to help you live a clutter-free life! Thanks for all your support over the (almost) four years I've been doing this podcast. 5 Questions for Before You Buy: 1. Does this item bring freedom or burden to my life? 2. Where will it live? 3. Does it align with my values? 4. Can I borrow it instead? 5. Do I need to buy it now, or can I pause and check in later? 5 Mental Clutter Busting-Questions: 1. Is this thought serving me? 2. Is this thought absolutely true? 3. How would I feel without this thought? 4. What is a true thought that could replace this negative thought? 5. Do I have to think about this now, or can I choose another time to think about it? 10 Decluttering Mindset Questions: 1. Does this item reflect my values? 2. Do I have the capacity to manage this item in this season? 3. Does it support my current self in my current season of motherhood, or is it aspirational? (focusing on past or potential future) 4. Would I buy this again, if I didn't own it already? 5. How would I feel if this item spontaneously combusted? 6. If I were moving, would I bubble wrap it and pack it, AND unpack it when I arrived? 7. Can I recognize this item has value AND I can let it go to experience something better? 8. If I were to pass away unexpectedly, would I want my family members to have to go through these items? 9. Am I keeping this “just in case” (which likely means never) or am I keeping it “just for when” with a specific timeframe/season in mind? 10. Am I keeping this out of guilt or obligation? Why am I feeling guilty? Is it my perception? 5 Questions to Get Started: 1. Is perfectionism causing me to put off decluttering? Am I afraid about doing it “wrong”? 2. If time is my biggest barrier, what is one activity that currently doesn't serve me that I can replace with decluttering for 10-15 minutes? 3. When is the ideal time for me to declutter based upon my energy levels and current schedule? 4. Can I commit to a weekly donation pickup (or drop-off) at a place I feel good about, knowing that I can be more discerning later on? 5. Does the boundary I've selected for this category reflect the value I place on it, and my capacity to manage it? BONUS: How do I want this space to feel, function, and flow? Visit: https://www.10xvets.com/events ____ Justin Koh is the owner of Al Phillips Dry Cleaners and co-founder of Magnoli.ai, a software platform built specifically for the dry cleaning industry. After serving as an acquisitions officer in the U.S. Air Force, Justin returned home to acquire his family's business, allowing his parents to step away after years of ownership. He approached the business with the same analytical mindset he developed in the military, growing the company from two locations into one of the largest dry cleaning operations in Las Vegas. As the business grew, Justin found himself solving many of the same operational challenges facing independent dry cleaners across the country. Rather than work around outdated systems, he built the tools he wished had existed when he took over the business. Those lessons became Magnoli.ai, helping independent operators simplify day-to-day operations with software built around the realities of the industry. In this episode of the SABM podcast, Scott chats with Justin about: Finding Opportunity in Unexpected Places: Why taking over the family business became the start of an entrepreneurial journey Justin never expected. Growing Through Strategic Acquisitions: How a series of thoughtful acquisitions transformed a two-location business into one of the largest dry cleaning operations in Las Vegas. Building Magnoli.ai: The operational challenges Justin encountered inspired software built specifically for the unique needs of independent dry cleaners. Building a Better Business: Why stronger systems, better visibility into operations, and consistent execution became essential to long-term growth. Looking Ahead: Justin shares the challenges he's focused on today, where he sees the greatest opportunities for growth, and what's next for both Al Phillips and Magnoli.ai. Caring so much to what others think, waiting for the "perfect" time, negative self-talk is more damaging to your progress than you think. If you're struggling with any of these, buckle up for today's episode because we're going to share more about how ditching these habits and more changed our mindset for the better! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••1:1 COACHING WITH KNOW YOUR POWER
When leaders are unhappy at work, they often blame the company. But more often it's a sign of dissatisfaction with their own inability to work within the constraints of the job. No job is perfect. Every role comes with constraints: things that stop you from operating at your best. Whether it's a bad boss, a lack of resources, or unrealistic expectations, the question isn't whether your job has constraints: it's whether or not you can live with them.If you don't proactively manage the constraints then, over time, you might not like who you have to become to function in your role.In this episode, I reveal the difference between genuine constraints and the artificial constraints; I explore the symptoms of unhappiness at work; and I give you three critical mindset shifts that will pull your focus off the daily grind and onto the long game, and get back to peak performance.Links mentioned in this episode:No Bullsh!t Leadership episodes:Ep.361: The Hidden Cost of Creeping FrustrationLBT link:Leadership Beyond the Theory————————You can connect with me at:Website: https://www.yourceomentor.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/yourceomentorInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/yourceomentorLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/martin-moore-075b001/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@YourCEOMentor————————Our mission here at Your CEO Mentor is to improve the quality of leaders, globally. Host Matty A returns to his roots to discuss the immense value of building a personal brand and his strategic vision for the Imagos Income Fund and ImagosX. He introduces a new Friday format designed to bring clarity to complex economic indicators, starting with a breakdown of the 10-year treasury and how it serves as a crystal ball for long-term lending and mortgage rates. The episode also explores current macroeconomic signals, including why major homebuilders are slashing prices and why a housing crash is highly unlikely despite market slowdowns. Finally, Matty highlights a massive shift in generational wealth, explaining why more investors are prioritizing lifestyle and experiential investments today rather than waiting to pass on their estates.KEY TOPICS DISCUSSEDThe costly lesson of pausing a personal brand and the roadmap to 100,000 followersHow the Imagos Income Fund aims to reach 10 million dollars while offering experiential returnsSecuring ultra-exclusive access to sold-out events like Lollapalooza through ImagosXBig Finance Simple Words: Understanding the 10-year treasury yield versus the federal funds rateWhy the 10-year treasury directly dictates the cost of 30-year mortgagesAnalyzing price cuts from major homebuilders like Lennar and DR HortonFive reasons the housing market is protected from an imminent crashWhy the generational wealth transfer is shifting toward experiential lifestyle investingKEY TAKEAWAYSThe 10-year treasury is the ultimate indicator of market confidence and directly drives long-term borrowing costs like mortgages, separate from the Fed's short-term rates.Despite massive price cuts from homebuilders and slowing mortgage demand, record homeowner equity and low locked-in rates prevent a housing market collapse.Experiential investing is becoming a priority as investors choose to enjoy their wealth with family now rather than leaving it as a traditional inheritance.True wealth building requires a constant state of curiosity and the humility to continuously learn new financial strategies.Consistency in default habits separates high achievers from the rest, especially on days when motivation is completely absent.CONNECT & TAKE ACTIONImagos Income Fund: Text "INCOME" or "DEALS" to 844-447-1555 to learn more about Matty A's private debt fund targeting 10% fixed returns paid out monthly.Visit skylineocresidences.com to discover luxury condo ownership at Skyline OC, Orange County's tallest residential tower.
