Episode Summary In this episode of Business Coaching Secrets, hosts Karl Bryan and Rode Dog deliver a rapid-fire masterclass on wealth building, real estate investing, the changing landscape of AI and jobs, business valuation, and proven sales tactics for coaches. They break down critical frameworks, rules, and scripts—from cold calling motivation to legacy planning—with actionable insights designed to help business coaches and entrepreneurs drive real results. The show wraps with a signature "moment of Zen" on living and making decisions intentionally, drawing on lessons from legendary thinkers and practical experience. Key Topics Covered AI, Innovation, and the Future of Work Karl and Rode Dog examine the disruption, job loss, and eventual job creation AI consistently brings, outlining optimism as the most productive mindset for navigating change. The bell curve of innovation leading from disruption and layoffs, to new, more lucrative opportunities, is thoroughly unpacked. The Five Pillars of Wealth The hosts break down the essentials: income, taxes, savings, investing, and legacy. Tactical advice includes the critical importance of learning sales, mastering tax strategy, automating savings, setting investing rules, and passing on wisdom over just assets. Taxes and Relocation Decisions Insightful discussion about the pros and cons of moving states (e.g., from California to Florida) solely for tax reasons. Emphasizes the importance of family, environment, and purpose when making major life moves, not just financial considerations. Real Estate Principles That Build Wealth Golden rules: have rules before you buy, buy land not condos, avoid over-leverage, and—most powerfully—hold for the long-term to let compounding work. Advice includes "buy the smallest house on the biggest lot closest to downtown" and why the money is in waiting, not timing. Education, Schooling, and Real-World Business Success Debate on how the traditional school system often overlooks entrepreneurial skillsets like collaboration, risk-taking, critical thinking, and networking. Discussion on homeschooling and why it can be great for some but isn't a universal answer. Why Most Small Businesses Don't Sell The three key reasons: lack of profitability, systemization, and an owner-dependent business model. How to make your business a true asset and maximize its valuation using the five variables: sustainability, predictability, growth, threats, and scalability. In-House Marketing vs. Agency Use Critical look at entrepreneurs wanting to bring marketing in-house vs. sticking with a profitable agency. Strong recommendation to double down on strengths and let proven partners do their best work. Cold Calling and Sales Motivation Motivation mindset: focus on offering value, not just "getting a client." Step-by-step scripts, research tactics, and an activity framework (25 outreach messages, 3 meaningful convos daily) to secure real results. Mastering Communication as a Coach The 20/80 rule: the top communicators listen 80% of the time and direct with questions. Framework of 6 open-ended conversation starters that transform prospecting and client engagement. Moment of Zen: Decision-Making and Legacy The power of making big decisions only from a positive, optimistic state. Writing your own obituary as an exercise to define principles and guide intentional living and business-building. Notable Quotes "Message me because you have something to offer me, something to give me, something that's critical I know about, something to tell me… You're not fearful of cold calling, you're fearful of being judged." "If you can't make a hard decision quickly, you will struggle to help others make a hard decision quickly." "The money is not in the buying, the money is not in the selling, but the money is in the waiting." "When you are in a negative state, you see problems. When you're in a positive state, you see solutions." "Begin with the end in mind…That is a mental model and a very good one and powerful one, frankly." Actionable Takeaways Embrace an Optimistic Mindset: Choose the mental frame that lets you see opportunity and solutions during change or disruption. Implement the Five Pillars: Master sales, study tax law, automate saving, invest only by clear rules, and focus on passing wisdom—not just assets. Don't Move for Money Alone: Factor in environment, family, and happiness before making tax-driven relocations. Invest for the Long Run: Buy assets with potential and hold—compounding and patient "waiting" are the greatest wealth creators. Make Your Business Sellable: Build profitability, systematize, and reduce owner reliance—so it's a true asset, not just a job. Double Down on What Works: If your agency is delivering, don't self-sabotage by bringing everything in-house just to "save money." Be a Proactive, Assertive Connector: Consistent outreach (25 messages, 3 real convos daily) and leading with value make client acquisition inevitable. Master the Art of Asking: Use open-ended questions and listen more than you speak to stand out as a trusted advisor. Live and Decide with Intention: Write your own obituary—a clarifying exercise to set your compass for leadership, life, and legacy. Rather than speaking from personal experience, she shares four principles she believes have helped her avoid it. Throughout the episode, Rachel argues that imposter syndrome stems from outsourcing self-worth to other people's judgments, and she encourages listeners to shift their focus inward, measure progress against their own growth, and recognize that they are not imposters—they are simply people in the ongoing process of becoming. Send us Fan MailThe Capacity to Have and Live “Whole” - ContentmentWhat if the word you've been underestimating your whole life is the very key to what you've been reaching for? In this episode, we explore contentment — not as a lesser version of happiness, but as the deep, stabilizing foundation from which real growth, goals, and real quality of life are built. We'll walk through the “Goal Sandwich framework” for grounding your desires in what you already have. We'll unpack the concept of capacity — your internal readiness to hold good things when they arrive. And we'll close with three reflection questions designed to take you from the surface all the way to your soul. This one is foundational. This one is for you. Quote of the Week: “He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have.”— Socrates I want to leave you with three questions to carry into your week. To sit with. Let them breathe. 1.  What am I happy with right now? (The surface check-in. Start here. It's a valid place to begin.) 2.  What brings me genuine satisfaction? (Go deeper. What actually feels like enough? What do you already have that you truly wanted?) 3.  Do I have the capacity to hold this satisfaction? (The transformational question. Am I willing to let this be real? Am I home to receive what I've already been given?) That third question — that is where the work lives. That is where wellness deepens from concept into lived experience. This is where our maintenance of the good things we build remains.Let's go, let's get it done.Get more information at: http://projectweightloss.org

Most of us have expectations. Expectations about how life should unfold. How other people should behave. How quickly we should heal. What success should look like. Who we should be by now. We often think expectations help us get more out of life. We think they keep us motivated, focused, and moving toward our goals. But what if they're actually doing the opposite? What if our expectations are keeping us stuck, disappointed, resentful, and blind to what's right in front of us? In this episode of Cacao Conversations, we're exploring the expectations we place on ourselves, the expectations we place on others, and the expectations we place on life itself. We talk about: why expectations so often lead to frustration and disappointment the hidden contracts we create with other people "it was supposed to..." and the stories we tell ourselves how expectations can create resentment in our relationships the pressure we place on ourselves to be further along the difference between having intentions and being attached to outcomes how expectations can prevent us from seeing new possibilities Sometimes the very thing we're clinging to is the thing standing in the way of what wants to emerge. If you've ever found yourself frustrated because life isn't going according to plan, this conversation is for you. Because maybe the problem isn't that life has gone wrong. Maybe your expectations are keeping you from seeing what's possible. New episodes of Cacao Conversations drop weekly. Sip. Connect. The problem is rarely the real problem. The way you see it is. Gene shares three perspective shifts that change how you handle stress, setbacks, and the daily fires of running a company. Quick SummaryIn this candid solo episode, Kelsey Reidel breaks down four mindset shifts she's observed over nearly a decade in business — distinctions that separate entrepreneurs who stay stuck from those who keep growing. Inspired by a morning hike and a Marco Polo conversation with two long-time entrepreneur friends, Kelsey shares real scenarios, personal stories, and honest reflections on what it actually takes to build a sustainable business. In This EpisodeWhy "junior" vs. "experienced" has nothing to do with how long you've been in businessThe real purpose of your first event, launch, or marketing experiment (hint: it's not profit)Why experienced entrepreneurs still slide into DMs — and why you should tooHow to turn every "no" into a source of intelligence rather than a source of shameThe emotional regulation strategies that keep seasoned entrepreneurs from spiraling when things go sidewaysKey TakeawaysYour first event is a research project, not a revenue event. Kelsey grew her events from 10 women in a free coffee shop to 80 women at a sold-out, fully sponsored venue — one small step at a time. Start with three people if you have to.The unscalable work is where the business actually gets built. No matter how big your email list, DMs, coffee chats, and personal follow-ups still move the needle. The most successful entrepreneurs never stop doing this work."No" means "not yet" — treat it like data. Every objection tells you something your messaging isn't addressing. Get curious instead of shutting down. One hard week isn't a business crisis. The experienced entrepreneur has systems to process difficult events without letting them derail the entire plan. You are your business's biggest cheerleader. The moment you start to believe it's not working, your revenue reflects it. Protect your confidence fiercely.Memorable Quotes"Hosting your first event is never about profiting on day one. It's about brand-building, visibility, relationship-building, and market research — all rolled into one.""The experienced entrepreneur never outgrows the unscalable stuff. They just get more intentional about it.""When people say no, it usually means 'not yet,' or 'I don't have the information I need.' Get curious — don't shut down."Resources MentionedKelsey's Website: KelseyReidl.comKelsey's Instagram: @KelseyReidlChicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. & John Archambault — Kelsey's go-to reminder that it's A to B, not A to ZMarco Polo app — Kelsey's favourite tool for voice-note conversations with business friendsRain or Shine event in Prince Edward County — July 17th (details on Kelsey's Instagram)About the HostKelsey Reidl is an entrepreneur, fractional CMO, and host of Rain or Shine (formerly Visionary Life). Have you ever looked at your bank account and thought, "wait, I know I made more than this"? Friend, I have been there. And for a long time, I thought the answer was just to make more money. Turns out, that was not the problem. In this episode, I'm getting honest about something most of us don't want to admit: unassigned money disappears. Not because we're irresponsible, but because money without a job becomes emotionally charged, and emotionally charged money gets spent on whatever feeling shows up first. I'm sharing a personal story in this one that honestly made me laugh at myself, because I found out the hard way what happens when you let impulse do the budgeting for you. (Let's just say a mobile game was involved and leave it at that for now.) If you've ever felt like your income and your bank account are telling two very different stories, this episode is for you. We're talking about what it actually looks like to assign your money with intention before the impulse gets there first.   GET THE MONEY MANDATE HERE   TIMESTAMPS 00:00:01 - Welcome to Wisdom's Table Introduction to the podcast and its purpose of helping listeners grow. 00:01:00 - The Money Disappearance Dilemma Discussing the common feeling of confusion about where money goes. 00:02:23 - Challenging the Income Problem Mindset Exploring the idea that the issue may not be a lack of income but rather how money is assigned. 00:03:36 - The Importance of Money Direction Understanding how unassigned money can lead to impulsive spending. 00:05:48 - Personal Spending Experience Rachel shares her experience with a mobile game and the emotional spending that ensued. 00:07:18 - Invisible Spending Decisions Highlighting how small, untracked expenses can accumulate unnoticed. 00:09:04 - Reasons for Financial Chaos Introducing four reasons why people struggle with money management. 00:09:43 - No Pre-Decision Explaining how lack of planning leads to impulsive purchases. 00:12:15 - Emotionally Driven Spending Discussing how emotions can influence financial decisions. 00:13:36 - Lifestyle Creep Describing how increased income can lead to increased spending without real benefit. 00:14:28 - Lack of Vision for Money Emphasizing the need for a clear purpose for money to prevent it from being wasted. 00:15:13 - Mindset Shifts for Financial Health Introducing two key mindset shifts to improve financial management. 00:16:05 - Direction Over Multiplication Stressing that money needs direction more than it needs to simply multiply. 00:18:02 - Every Dollar as a Builder Reframing the perspective on money as a tool for building rather than just spending. 00:20:29 - Sending Money vs. Spending Money Encouraging a shift in language and mindset regarding financial transactions. 00:22:03 - Assigning Jobs to Money Practical advice on how to assign specific purposes to each dollar. 00:24:51 - Conclusion: Leading Your Money Final thoughts on taking control of finances and the importance of intentionality. 00:25:33 - Closing Remarks Encouragement to share the episode and engage with the podcast community.

This episode was inspired by a teenage boy Candace keeps seeing on her drive to work — running full speed down the street trying to catch the bus before it turns the corner. Every time she sees him, she wonders the same thing: what if he simply left the house one or two minutes earlier? That tiny adjustment could completely change the energy of his morning. No panic. No sprinting. No racing against time. Just calm, steady movement. And that thought sparked something deeper. How often do we do this in our own lives? Repeating the same stressful patterns while hoping things somehow feel different? Sometimes we think massive change is required, when really it might just be a tiny shift in timing, mindset, habits, boundaries, or perspective. In this episode of The Spiritual Cupcake Podcast, Candace talks about the power of small adjustments and how little intentional changes can create completely different outcomes. It's an invitation to audit your life with curiosity instead of judgment and ask yourself: What tiny shift could change everything for me? Because sometimes the difference between chaos and peace… is only two minutes.

Too often, we treat inconveniences like emergencies — and it creates unnecessary stress, anxiety, and emotional chaos in our daily lives.I explore the important distinction between true emergencies and everyday inconveniences, inspired by a recent reflection from author and poet Cleo Wade.I discuss: Why our minds default to worst-case thinking How modern work culture treats everything like a crisis The difference between urgency and actual emergencies Why reframing challenges helps create clarity Real examples of emergencies from my life and work on The Arbiters How this mindset shift has helped me approach stress differently Why perspective is one of the most valuable tools we haveThere's a huge difference between: “We have a presentation tomorrow” and “People are in danger.” One is stressful. One is an emergency. Learning to distinguish between the two can completely change how we respond to challenges, solve problems, and show up for ourselves and others. If you've been overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, or constantly feeling like everything is on fire, I hope this episode helps reframe things in a healthier and more grounded way.

In this episode, I break down a recent client breakthrough that shows why that pattern keeps your sex life stuck and what changes this feedback loop. The real win isn't staying hard or "performing" perfectly. It's how you respond when things don't go ideal. That's the moment that sets a new trajectory and standard, builds your partner's trust, and starts a completely different feedback loop. We get into why this is a pressure problem rather than a sex problem, the difference between chasing relief and feeling calm and grounded, and how showing up with conviction changes how your partner responds to you.If you're tired of waiting for things to magically go right in your sex life, this one's for you.Want personalized help with your specific sex challenge?Check out my new offer, Built Daily: You can submit your question anonymously and get an audio coaching answer with your next step to take.

Send us Fan MailWhat does it actually take to lead in an era where artificial intelligence is reshaping every industry, every role, and every assumption about how work gets done? On this episode of Navigating the Customer Experience, Yanique Grant sits down with Jack Jendo, founder of BrainDigits, AI strategist, and author of Lead Forward, to explore what the future workplace really looks like and why leadership is the most important skill you can develop right now.Jack brings a perspective shaped by years of working across the Middle East, Europe, and Australia, building AI-powered programs for governments, corporations, and startups. His message is clear: AI is not just a tool. It is a mindset shift, and leaders who understand this will be the ones who define what comes next.WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS EPISODEJack shares the journey that took him from juggling three jobs during university to running agencies across multiple continents and founding BrainDigits. He talks about why he wrote Lead Forward, a book designed for three types of people he encounters every day: entrepreneurs who are just getting started, senior professionals who feel like their career is winding down when it does not have to be, and leaders in the middle who feel pressure but lack clarity.Jack also introduces a concept that reframes how leaders can use AI: the Digital Twin. Rather than using AI as a general assistant, Jack trains specialized AI versions of himself, one for brainstorming, one for financial strategy, one for business development. He has been building and refining these tools for years, and the result is a thinking partner that reflects his values, his frameworks, and his way of approaching problems.THE FUTURE WORKPLACE: AI FIRST OR AI ENABLED?Jack places AI in the same category as transformative inventions like the printing press and the internet. Each of those disrupted every industry it touched. AI is doing the same. But the change is not primarily about tools. It is about mindset and clarity. He describes two futures emerging for organizations. The first is a company that adopts AI aggressively without understanding what it is doing, relying on automation without the human judgment to direct it. That organization will struggle. The second is a company led by people who know exactly what they need, who operate with ownership and freedom, and who use AI to remove friction and accelerate execution. That is the organization every leader should be building toward.AI IS THE NEW LEADERSHIP SKILLJack and Yanique explore what it means to treat AI as a leadership skill rather than a software category. His view is that every task with a clear process can now be handled by AI. What cannot be automated is knowing what needs to be done, deciding the direction, and leading people through change. The leaders who will thrive are those who invest in training their AI tools the same way they would develop a trusted assistant. Not with generic prompts, but with context, values, goals, and frameworks. That investment is what turns a general tool into something genuinely useful.Jack shares that his two primary tools are ChatGPT, where he has trained a custom model called TwinJack over four years for brainstorming and strategic thinking, and Claude, which he has used for automation over the past year. He describes them as complementary, each with a distinct role, and both trained with the same foundation.KEY INSIGHTS FROM THIS EPISODEExperience compounds. Working across multiple roles and industries, especially early in a career, creates a foundation that multiplies future opportunity.Retirement is not an endpoint. Jack pushes back on the idea that experienced professionals should wind down. Their knowledge, relationships, and judgment are among the most valuable assets available to any organization.Scaling happens during crisis. When others pull back, Jack leans in. His approach is to build capacity, strengthen teams, and expand during periods of pressure because that is when the real growth happens. The guiding question Jack returns to during adversity is simple: remember why you started. It is not about nostalgia. It is about using original purpose as an anchor when clarity is hard to find.BOOKS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODELead Forward by Jack Jendo https://www.amazon.com/s?k=lead+forward+jack+jendoStart with Why by Simon Sinek https://www.amazon.com/s?k=start+with+why+simon+sinekRich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki https://www.amazon.com/s?k=rich+dad+poor+dadThe Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Think of it as a beautiful continuation of that thread, the work of changing lives through purpose-driven leadership, conscious business, and heart-centered impact.    Today, I'm bringing you Janet Driver, someone I've known for many years through my connection with the Unstoppable Foundation.    Janet is the Director of Partnerships at the Unstoppable Foundation, where she partners with generous supporters to create lasting transformation in underserved communities in rural Kenya.    For the past 8 years, she has worked alongside global philanthropists to expand access to education, support emerging leaders, and help families develop the leadership, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial skills needed to break cycles of poverty.    And this is what I love about Janet's work.    She understands that true abundance is never just about one person rising.    It is about the ripple effect.    Janet and I dish on:    Why the organization focuses highly on girls and women    - The intention behind empowering women; building a strong family structure   - Resources versus culture; tackling one thing at a time   - The Unstoppable Foundation as a possibility creator    - The vision; from providing sustainability to solving problems   - Donating changes the giver more than the receiver; learn how   - Money expands your capacity to receive when you use it wisely    This conversation invites you to reflect and consider what you can do to support similar initiatives in your community.    Subscribe now so you'll never miss an episode and leave us a review! Hey friend,  Has self-care started to feel like homework you didn't sign up for? Have you been listening to this show and feeling behind because you haven't done all the experiments? What if the answer for this week is doing less, not more? I'm Ashley — a mom living with chronic illness in a neurodivergent family. If you're dealing with constant fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, and broken sleep while trying to keep up with your kids, you're not alone. Chronic Illness Moms is a podcast for moms with chronic illness or chronic symptoms who want stress relief, better sleep, and simple, realistic habits that actually work inside a full, demanding life. If you've been with me this last month, I've handed you a lot of experiments — the Doorway Reset, three things to stop doing at night, ten minutes of daylight, permission to enjoy fun, eating before your coffee, a caffeine curfew, stepping outside instead of the second cup. And if you're sitting there feeling behind because you haven't done all of them — this episode is your permission to stop. This one is short. No new framework. No new tactical win. Just a pause and a question: which ONE of these has actually stuck for you? Keep that one. Drop the rest, for now. Pick the ONE experiment from this month that's actually working — the one you didn't have to try at, the one your brain reaches for now without you having to remember it. Keep it. Drop the rest until further notice. Links mentioned: Coaching → https://ashleybraden.com/coaching Facebook Community → https://www.facebook.com/groups/chronichealthmoms Related Episodes: 218.
