Turn it up and listen to the Plus One podcast to talk about parenting again because LAWD KNOWS that it's a never-ending story. However, when neurodivergence meets I have shit to do, worlds collide. Get through it with us, and don't admit it's hard. I don't have answers, but boy, I do have experience. I've been on this earth for forty-one years and learned a thing or two. Bring your 99 problems, and let's talk it out. Thank you, Spokast, for all that you do. Please share this podcast if you laughed even a little! That's the least we can do because that's a traumedy! XOXO

Let's be honest: no one follows this podcast for the earth-moving descriptions. In this episode, we talk about emotional permanence, building a strong foundation in a new relationship, and general dating with borderline. Throw a little flavor in there, and you've got The Plus One Podcast Follow everything we do on all socials and a big shout out to Spokast! Please share this podcast with anyone who has borderline or loves someone with borderline. Help us reach someone who needs us just as much as we need them!
And podcast descriptions are worse(r). As always, thank you for tuning into The Plus One podcast.
Dating with borderline comes with a lot of ups and downs. My best advice is to enjoy it when it's good and prepare for when it's inevitably bad. For people with borderline personality disorder who struggle with chronic emptiness, you have to savor the moments that feel good. So don't mind me while I twirl in this lovey-dovey space! If you know someone or love someone with borderline personality disorder, please share this podcast to strengthen our community.
We took a couple of weeks off to wrap up the summer… Turned 41, and keep looking for love! Listen in while we catch up and stay tuned for next week, where we do it all again. Yes, this description is very vague and general; your girl is tired from working at the most punk rock bar in Spokane. Press play! Follow everything the Plus One podcast does, and big big shout out to Spokast! for always putting up with our shit!
Sometimes, I feel like I'm living in a simulation. Is this even real? How can dating be so incredibly lackluster when so many people are in the same situation? I have to believe that the universe is sending me my perfect person and that the ones sent to me now are only reminders that I deserve better. Dating is hard!
I did an episode with Jaucia! Tune in for a little girl talk! I'm loving this girlfriend series, we really are the people we involve in our lives. With borderline personality disorder, you have to be very methodical about your friendships and relationships. These are mine, and I am grateful! Follow everything the Plus One podcast does, and shout out to our podcast daddy, Spokast!, for putting up with all our wild ways!
Catching up after my favorite person moved away for a crunchy life in Oregon, I brought my good friend Kodi! We talk about our triggers and what helps us navigate borderline personality disorder. We have started going to the gym together, and let me tell you, it's been great for my mental health! Physical health and mental health are closely related. To take care of one is to take care of the other. If you see me around town randomly crying, don't mind me; I miss my favorite person. Who knows what love is? Sometimes, it's twin flames, And you finish each other sentences. Sometimes, you're living in a dream world and loving someone without expectation of reciprocation. I'm just trying to love what I so freely give to others. Despite our trauma, love is what gives us hope. Thank you for tuning in to The Plus One Podcast and sharing this podcast with anyone who might need to hear it!
Bonus Episode Never get too comfortable. Love Always, The Universe
As a person who struggles with BPD, it's hard for me to stick to a topic. Unless of course, it is the topic of BPD. Thankfully everything that happens in my life is a direct result of that because my BPD is my plus one. I've gone so deep into my healing that I question the motives behind every decision I make, whether conscious or subconscious. Not every day is a good day, but I am proud to say that the bad days come few and far between. It's a choice. I've always been a person searching for love. And then I realized….I am love. I have all the love I need. I am full. And none of those things require the presence of another human being. Self love is a journey and it's hard and humbling as fuck. And it's not over. This is just a real time ear hustle for you to feel a little less alone in this unpredictable place. And if you see something that makes you uncomfortable, speak up. Use your voice to speak and your back bone to stand on it. Complacency breeds corruption. And comply to the norm is something I'll never do. Take care of your people. Follow everything the plus one does on all socials and me on everything. Shout out to our podcast daddy for putting up with us and all the crazy ways we try to change the world for the better. See you next Tuesday!
If you think you have a crush on me, it'll pass. What does a girl with BPD look for in a relationship? Tune in and find out! Follow everything The Plus One does, and shout out to our podcast daddy, Spokast! Be nice out there; dating in 2023 is hard!
After 127 days of pure agony, my kids have returned home to me. Remember that parenting with BPD requires ongoing effort and self-reflection. Don't hesitate to ask for help when needed, and remember that it's okay to make mistakes – being open to learning from them is essential. Your dedication to growth and well-being will positively influence your ability to be a nurturing and loving parent. If you know anyone with BPD or if you have BPD, I hope this podcast brings you clarity and inclusion. You are not alone. Follow everything the plus one podcast does and shout out to Spokast!
I've gotten much better at descriptions, but to be honest, there's a lot going on. This is a short episode where I'm just working some shit out. Come work some shit out with me. You never know what someone is going through, be nice.

Throughout this episode, we'll unravel the intricacies of object permanence and its relevance to our daily lives. We'll explore how it influences our relationships, shapes our reactions, and can sometimes present challenges in maintaining emotional stability during life's transitions. With BPD, Object Permanence refers to the emotional aspect of object constancy, which is the ability to maintain stable feelings of attachment and trust towards others. Individuals with BPD may struggle with object permanence, experiencing difficulties in maintaining a consistent sense of connection and emotional stability in their relationships. So, whether you're experiencing a significant life transition, seeking a deeper understanding of your emotions, or simply curious about the hidden influences in your relationships, this episode is for you. Get ready to gain insights, discover tools, and build resilience as we dive into the depths of object permanence and its role in our lives. Follow us on all socials and make sure you like, follow and share this podcast to help us reach as many people as possible to break the stigma and protect those who cannot protect themselves.
In this episode, The Plus One, Sara delves into the concept of the "Favorite Person" (FP) within the context of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). She shares personal experiences and explores the intense emotional dynamics that often accompany this phenomenon. While acknowledging that we are not clinicians, we aim to provide a relatable space where listeners can gain insights and empathy surrounding the concept of Favorite Person. By sharing my stories and discussing the emotional rollercoaster that often accompanies BPD, we aim to promote understanding, reduce stigma, and foster a supportive community for individuals affected by this challenging aspect of the disorder.
Getting back into the groove and finding my way again. That can be applied to so many different spaces in my life. Listen in and catch up with me about everything that happened in the last three weeks! I've missed everyone so much! Mad love to all my listeners for all the support, and even more for my haters for having the dedication to listen to my voice FOR AN HOUR simply to hate on me. Another at home recording and it sucks without Brennon. prepare to suffer through this short little episode! Thanks for listenin'!
I'm absolutely terrified to post this and it's quite possibly the most vulnerable episode I've ever done. But it's real, and it's happening.
Turn it on, and turn it up! Joel joins the Plus One podcast to talk about mental health, religion, and politics. All the things you cannot talk about in a bar! This is by far one of my favorite episodes, and I can't wait for you to hear it! Big ups to Joel and spokast for seeing the vision, and being a part of the change with me! Mad love from me to you Sara
In this episode, we talk with Ericka all about mean girl behavior, women supporting women, and what DBT actually means! Brennon adds his ADHD flavor as usual, and we've got ourselves a Podcast, people! Follow everything we do and be nice to each other. It's literally that simple. Love you bye.
Sometimes you need to talk it out, am I right? In this week's episode, we talk about imposter syndrome, hot girl Summer and what the fuck is a relationship anyways? Shout out to Spokast for always putting up with our guff and listen to my favorite song at the moment, "People" by Libianca.

In this week's episode, we catch up about the breakup, the therapy, the 10 days away from being when you're sober, and what it looks like for someone with borderline to navigate these life experiences. Life is not always easy, but what I've learned is, it's worth it. Don't be afraid to reach out if you're feeling down in the dumps. There is a national mental health hotline that will listen to you vent, reach out to someone you know, personally or hell, reach out to me. I love each of my listeners, individually and wholeheartedly, and I care deeply for you all. Your presence in this world is necessary. Thank you so much for all of your love and support and don't forget to follow everything the Plus One podcast. As always, a big shout out to our podcast, daddy Spokast, and welcome home Brennon! Join in on the fun and be sure to share everything on The Plus One Podcast! Be kind to each other, and give them grace! Love, Sara
This episode is a clear-cut case of disassociation. Tap in and learn how little changes throughout the day I can throw off a borderline brain. Please give me grace while you listen to this episode as I was really leaning on Brennon to get me through it. As always, this is a true view into the life of a person with a borderline personality disorder. Thanks for hanging on with me and make sure you like, share, and follow everything on the Plus One podcast. Thank you so much to our podcast daddy, spokast!
With 38 days left of my first year sober, I've learned a thing or two about a thing or two. The effects that outside influences have on a borderline brain can make or break each moment throughout each day. Borderlines have to be extremely careful with what they allow in their life, and that includes social media. I have closed the door of instant and constant access into my life by deleting social media apps from my phone. Listen to this episode to hear more!
The new year has been off to a rocky start. Can we all agree that there is a different vibe in the air? Regardless, we keep pushing forward! This episode of the Plus One podcast talks about parenting, rough days, doing it alone, and trying to squeeze in some therapy. This podcast has always been an opportunity to be a fly on the wall in the life of a person with BPD. This episode captures that perfectly. And can we all agree that Spokane probably has the worst goddamn drivers in the country? Anyway, try to be nice to people even if they don't know how to drive!
Press play to hear the difference between the way BPD people love and NPD love bombing. Christmas was hard, and I'm glad it's over, but I'm also proud of myself for establishing and enforcing boundaries. #WeDoRecover 299 days, sober and ready to kiss 2022. Goodbye! It has been my favorite year, but 2023 has more in store for me than I ever dreamed of! Follow us on all socials, and make sure to like and share everything we do!
I've been looking for this week's episode like HELLO!? That's my fault y'all. Life gets foggy when you're all in love and stuff! Journey to therapy, Christmas worries, and so much more? Ha! Thanks for hangin in there with me, and let's move some mountains! Love you guys!
