The Tampa Bay Lightning return home after an almost 3 week road trip, to face three top NHL teams. While the Bolts played well, it was a barrage of 3 goals in under 3 minutes, and a stellar performance from Pavel Francouz that resulted in a 6-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.In a better game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Victor Hedman's last minute heroics, and absolute robbery by Andrei Vasilevskiy at the end of the game preserved a 3-2 win.On Saturday night, the Nashville Predators outlasted the Bolts 3-2 in overtime, as the penalty kill's struggles continued.#TampaBayLightning #Bolts #Lightning
Moose is back, giving you the rundown of the final two games of the Lightning's first road trip of the 2019-2020 season.The Bolts struggled a bit in Montreal against Carey Price and the Canadiens, but pulled off a 3-1 win with solid goaltending from Andrei Vasilevskiy.In Boston, it was a physical match of wits, as both teams combined for almost 60 hits, taking a tight 3-3 tie to a shootout. After a Home-and-Home series against in state rivals, the Florida Panthers, the Bolts continue their road trip, facing off against former Southeastern Conference foe the Carolina Hurricanes, and heading into Canada to face the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators.It was tough sledding against Carolina, who outshot the Lightning 44-13, and pulled off a much deserved overtime win.In Toronto, the Bolts looked like the team that dominated most of the regular season last year, lead by 2 goals from Brayden Point, who was returning from injury.Unfortunately, the Bolts dropped a winnable game in Ottawa as well, making it critical that they win in Montreal and Boston to clear the 7 Point goal for the road trip.#Lightning #Bolts #NHL #TampaBayLightning
It's finally opening night for the NHL, and the Bolts hit the ice against pesky division foe the Florida Panthers for a Home & Home series.
