Frank is back from the GM Meetings and has some notes on what was discussed as some of the most influential minds in hockey got together. The league and the players association are getting close to having to negotiate a new CBA and that means each side is starting to have internal discussions about what they could want. That's where the guys started today on the podcast and it led to some interesting debates about whether or not they could change the term limits for player contracts, how LTIR could change, and other things that could be changed in the next CBA.Tyler then popped in for a new edition of Fill in the Blank where he asked the guys who their quarter way Jack Adams winner would be and how many career points Connor McDavid will finish with when all is said and done. After that, they talked a little bit more about McDavid's upcoming milestone as he closes in on 1000 career points. Frank talked about a few players in the 1000 point club who were maybe a little under appreciated. They wrapped up the show by talking about the next Hockey Hall of Fame class and who are the locks to get in. They debated Carey Price, Joe Thornton, Duncan Keith, Ryan Getzlaf, and Duncan Keith and their chances of getting in.2:20 - Term limits17:44 - How could LTIR change?32:40 - Fill in the Blank46:00 - Under Appreciated players in the 1k club52:00 - Next HHOF Class$250 Fanatics Gift Card Giveaway: https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/contests/speak-up-and-scoreWant to hear more from Frank, Jason and the entire DFO team? This week, Brantt chats about crashing his Harley Davidson, the passing his mother Barb, and his past guest Carey Price.
This week, Brantt sits down with Olympic gold medalist, Hart and Vezina winner and one of the greatest goaltenders in Montreal Canadiens history, Carey Price. Brantt and Carey talk about life before and after sobriety, developing new habits in everyday life and how Carey's outlook on life has changed.
In this episode, I chat with Pinholes Graham, a fellow content creator who, in my opinion, produces the best hockey-related videos on YouTube. If you haven't seen his work yet, start with his most popular video, "You Are Being Mythologized (Do Not Resist) – The Career of Carey Price," which has garnered over 130,000 views at the time of writing this. After that, dive into his captivating "Playoffs Past" series, where he explores nostalgic playoff matchups from the late nineties and early two-thousands – you won't regret it. Once you've finished, don't miss his hilarious "LOHL" series, where he straight-facedly covers an entirely fictitious league with absurd player names (and is only updated once a year, on April Fool's Day). Thanks for listening! - Nuckhead

Inside today's Locked on CanadiensAfter a disappointing loss to the St. Louis Blues, the Montreal Canadiens are back on home ice with a free-falling Anaheim Ducks team on the schedule. The Habs have played down to their competition all season, but coming off a hefty loss they'll need to avoid those issues again. Scott and Laura discuss who should get the start in net, and who besides the top line will need to step up after an injury-filled weekend. Then, it's the current biggest story around the hockey world...What the heck was Morgan Rielly thinking when he cross-checked Ridly Greig after Greig's empty net slapshot? Scott is fired up at how Toronto players and their coach have acted in the aftermath, and he thinks Rielly should get a hefty suspension for his actions. Finally, a listener had a question for the hosts...How would they feel if the Canadiens traded Carey Price's contract to another team? While it makes business sense, both hosts can't help but think about how weird it would be for the cornerstone of the franchise to finish his career elsewhere, even if he is on LTIR.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!eBay MotorsFor parts that fit, head to eBay Motors and look for the green check. Scott is fired up at how Toronto players and their coach have acted in the aftermath, and he thinks Rielly should get a hefty suspension for his actions. Finally, a listener had a question for the hosts...How would they feel if the Canadiens traded Carey Price's contract to another team? While it makes business sense, both hosts can't help but think about how weird it would be for the cornerstone of the franchise to finish his career elsewhere, even if he is on LTIR.
