Plus, Roz vents about Toronto traffic cameras, ticket traps, and one camera that handed out 32,000 fines. We also dive into the bizarre trend of walking backwards for fitness — and hit the gym to see what people really think. Then: Maurie gets exclusive access to both mayors ahead of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, and we break down Florida's massive win. And if you've ever questioned Will Smith's music comeback... yeah, we did too. From awkward performances to remix fails, Pretty Girls is getting roasted. Friday afternoon means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to be enjoyed. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed what's to come for the Oilers, getting over the disappointment of the Stanley Cup loss, Connor McDavid's contract, and much more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about where the Oilers go next after falling in the Stanley Cup Final for the second straight season. From injecting more youth and speed into the lineup to finding players via trade that can stick around for more than just a playoffs run, there are plenty of directions Stan Bowman can go, and it will be fascinating to see how many changes are made over the summer. Changing gears, we dove into the Connor McDavid contract extension noise, and how every fanbase outside of Edmonton is using the Oilers' Stanley Cup loss as an opportunity to dunk on the second-best team in the NHL. Born out of jealousy, there is so much noise and dissecting of a single clip from McDavid's 17-minute press conference, and nothing will be more satisfying than when a deal gets done here in Edmonton. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week. After punching their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final, the guys spent the bulk of the Friday episode talking about why we should feel confident heading into this rematch against Florida, and how the Oilers are a much different hockey team this time around. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
We're finally here. Here? There? I don't know.. the Stanley Cup Finals are done and we have a repeat on our hands. This one feels different though -- mostly because of Brad Marchand who had a phenomenal performance that has evoked a mix of emotions from many Bruins fans. And if you were unsure about how to feel all you had to do was wait a few hours and read that Trent Frederic got an EIGHT YEAR CONTRACT. Yep.. the offseason is already off the rails. The Oilers fell to the Panthers in the Stanley Cup Final for the second straight year, with Florida delivering near-perfect performances in Games 5 and 6 and showing superior depth, structure, and goaltending throughout the series. Injuries mounted on both sides, but Florida’s culture and cohesion carried them through, while Edmonton struggled without Zach Hyman and leaned too heavily on McDavid and Draisaitl, who couldn’t singlehandedly turn the tide. Sam Bennett earned the Conn Smythe with a historic playoff performance, and GM Bill Zito now faces the challenge of re-signing Bennett, Marchand, and Ekblad. Meanwhile, the Oilers enter a pivotal offseason with key extension talks looming for McDavid and Bouchard, major cap questions, and ongoing uncertainty in goal.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Recorded: June 16th, 2025 Will Compton and Taylor Lewan bring the juice on this week's Bussin’ With The Boys. The guys are back with a packed episode and a killer sit-down with Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia. Before Diego hops on, the boys chop it up about the newly-dropped Dad Combine vlog courtesy of Bussin' Legend, JP Hovey, how Father’s Day weekend went, and their reactions to what’s been going down in the NHL Stanley Cup Finals. There’s also some solid back-and-forth about Nebraska football coach Matt Rhule going viral this past weekend, Josh Pate throwing strays at the back of the bus, and a preview of Tight End U coming up. They even touch on Paul Craig's wild kick, some Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese chatter, and give a nod to birthday boy Mitch before we hop into the interview. Once Diego joins, it’s all uphill in the best way. The guy’s got a story — from being a legit wrestler back in the day to calling his own plays in-game and leading New Mexico State to a historic win over Auburn. He talks about being overlooked coming out of high school, how he made the most of his time at NMSU, and what it’s been like transitioning to college football in the SEC at Vanderbilt. Diego then tells the behind the scenes story of the Alabama game and what it was like to upset the #1 team in the nation. The convo dives into whether he thought about entering the transfer portal again, expectations for this season, and how much Jerry Kill meant to his journey. It’s the kind of interview that makes you root for the dude, plain and simple.
