    CONDITIONS: This weekend is looking to be very nice. Warmer temps heading into Friday and Saturday with spring-like conditions. Sunday is supposed to be cooler, allowing the snow to firm back up for some nice carving. WEATHER: Friday is predicted to be mostly cloudy with a high near 33F. Southwest winds anywhere from 5 to 10 mph. Saturday is mostly cloudy with a high near 39 degrees. It will be a great couple of days to break out the hoodies and ditch the shells. Sunday However, cold temps snap right back into place with a high near 19 and a 30% chance of snow. It will be Partly Cloudy. EVENTS: Friday and Saturday don't forget night skiing from 4-8 Pm. Saturday, February 12 the ROSEMARY BOWL MOGUL event will be taking place on True Grit. The race will continue on Sunday till 3 PM. We have Après in both the Freestyle lounge and T-Bar's Friday and Saturday night Friday is Host by Bud light Saturday's Après there will be Live entertainment by Gabby Martin and Jordan & Clint. Also Saturday in Town Square at the Adventure Center, 10 am – 2 PM, Fischer Skis will be there demoing their latest Nordic Gear. Come try out some equipment and see what you like or what best fits you. Sunday the 13, we have Church Chair.     TRIALS: As of today, 100% of our Skiable Terrain is now Open. Grooming Crews were able to finish up Wayne Wong Way which was the last of the 62 Trails on our List. WEATHER: Tonight around 8 PM the temps will drop just enough to allow the full brunt of this storm to move in over the top of us. Sources are saying 8-16 Inches of snow heading into Friday morning. High near 24, and snow is expected to continue throughout the day Friday and into the night. Saturday, there is a high of 12 degrees and the snow is expected to finish about 10 AM. Then the sky is going to start to clear off and it will be Mostly Sunny. Sunday is going to be mostly sunny with a high near 19 F. Snow is going to be good and just in time after we have gotten all of our terrain open. That means plenty of runs to make fresh tracks and refills all day Friday. EVENTS: Both Friday and Saturday there will be Night Skiing 4-8 PM Saturday, February 5 there Apres Hosted by 603 Brewery in T-Bars and the Freestyle Lounge 3-6 PM. There will be live entertainment by Chris Perkins and Jonny Friday Duo. Sunday, Feb 6 We are hosting Church Chair. Attendees will Load the Valley Run Quad at 7:30 AM and meet at the Sunnnyside Timberlodge Deck for a Slope-Sise, Non-denominational Church Service.     TRAILS: We have a total of 58 open trials. Added No Grit, Gema and Ciao to the roster. Snowmaking has been taking place ALL OVER Green Peak. Ruffled Feathers, Pianoman, and Calvert's Crossing were shut off this morning in preparation for the grooming crew with anticipation for their debut this weekend. Bringing us to 61 trails. Snowmaking Crew is putting coverage on Pfosi's Pfolly, Ruffled Feathers, Clean Shaven, and Waynes Wong Way. There has been some snowmaking action on lower White Caps and Utter Abandon this last week that the Park Crew started sculpting today with the anticipation to add two new park offerings for this weekend. Check into the snow report on our website to see up to date info on open terrain. WEATHER: Friday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 24. Wind chill values as low as zero. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Saturday: Snow likely, mainly after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 13. North wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible. Sunday: Mostly sunny. High near 12. EVENTS: Night Skiing Friday and Saturday Night 4-8pm off of the Exhibition Poma lift and the Lower Pasture Carpet. Night skiing offers terrain for all abilities. The Freestyle Lounge will be open as well for all your food and beverage needs. Friday and Saturday we also have our 3rd Session of our Out of Bounds program is taking place 1-3pm.     Snowmaking: Snowmaking made huge piles on True Grit and grooming anticipates having True Grit, Sun Run, and Bail out for this upcoming weekend. They plan to move and focus their efforts on Ciao, Gema, and lower Bobby's Run next. Cold temps really allowed us to stack up some very nice natural snow Monday this week that mixed in well with the groomers. It's made some firm corduroy that holds an edge but is still very soft on top. The Weather: Friday: Sunny and cold, with a high near 10. Wind chill values as low as -21. Northwest wind around 5 mph Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 16 Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 22. Events: -We got night skiing this weekend. Friday and Saturday 4-8 pm -Saturday Jan 22, we have a USASA Slopestyle taking place on Stemtation at 8 AM. That park will be closed for the duration of the event. -There will also be après in both Freestyle and T-Bars ENTERTAINMENT BY GABBY MARTIN & BOB PRATTE DUO -Sunday the 23rd , also have a USASA Slalom and Giant Slalom taking place in Exhibition.     Weather: -Friday, Jan 14, mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to near 27 by 8am, then falling to around 15. Northwest wind as high as 25 mph. -Saturday, Jan 15, Sunny and cold, with a high near 1. Northwest wind with gusts as high as 30 mph. -Sunday, Jan 16, Sunny, a high near 17. -Snow is on the forecast for Monday! Multiple weather stations are predicting that Waterville Valley will be hit by a major snowstorm this Monday. Snowmaking: -High Country opened for the season on Wednesday! - Grooming is pushing out piles on And Tyler Too, Lower Tippy, and Siegel Street and snowmaking is stacking up snow on Tippecanoe as we speak. -We anticipate to have them open for the weekend along with Grimes Way and Sidewinder. -This would bring our trail count to 41, with 175 skiable acres. -70% OF OUR TERRAIN COULD BE OPEN! Events: -Tonight, our first Thursday night race league taking place on Exhibition under the lights. Registration can be found on our online store. Freestyle lounge will be open before and after the event where you can enjoy some hot food and cold drinks while racing results are announced. -Saturday January 15th, we have Après hosted by Switchback in the Freestyle lounge and T-Bars. 3-6pm and live music from Matt Langley Duo and Doug Thompson. -After that, we'll be hosting a firework display over Corcoran Pond at 7:30. Be sure to snag a spot in Town Square for the best view of the show. -On Saturday and Sunday, BMW will be Hosting a NASTAR Race from 12-2. BMW will be giving away FREE NASTAR vouchers to the first 100 guests who stop by their Vehicle Display booth in the Courtyard. Get here early to secure your complementary 2 run NASTAR voucher! Vouchers can be redeemed at the top of the NASTAR course located on Exhibition.     The Weather: The weather this week is expected to be much colder than last. Friday, Snow is likely before 11 AM, mostly cloudy with a high near 24 degrees. There will be a northwest wind at 5 to 10 miles an hour with gust reaching up to 25 mph. Saturday, is supposed to be sunny with high near 18 degrees. Sunday, could see some snow before 1pm. Mostly cloudy with a high near 34 degrees. Snowmaking: They were running guns on Chandler's Way, Governors Run, Rock Island, exhibition, and Tommy's World Cup Run. Snowmaking and grooming anticipate to have Rock Island and Exhibition open for this coming Weekend. This would bring our trail count to 26 trails across 7 lifts going into Saturday. Snowmaking then plans to switch gears and focus efforts on High Country, And Tyler Too, Seigle Street, And Lower Tippy. EVENTS: Saturday Jan 8th, 603 Brewing is hosting apres here at the freestyle lounge and T-Bars. Live entertainment by Mica Peterson Duo and Chris Perkins. Sunday Morning, we have another Church Chair. Attendees will load the Valley Run Quad at 7:30 AM and make their way down to the Sunnyside Timberlodge Deck for a non-denominational, slope-side church service.     Snowmaking: With addition of Bourbon Street and Stillness last week, we've added everyones favorite cruiser from the top Oblivion to upper valley run or South Street. Thanks to all the natural snow we've been getting we decided to open up Psyched as well. Snowmaking has had guns blazing on Utter, Lower Sel's, Governor's run, and Chandler's way. Grooming staff anticipate having those trails ready and the Green Peak chair spinning for this Saturday. Bringing us to 25 trails across 7 lifts as we start 2022. Terrain parks: The park crew put on some late nights putting together some medium size jumps and larger jib features on Stemtation under the lower meadows lift. There's still a park on Lower Pheriphery as well. Be sure to check it out and knock the dust off that bag of tricks from last season. Conditions: The Snow has been grooming out nicely with firm corduroy that holds a nice edge. Weather: Friday, we could see some mixed precipitation mainly after 2 PM mostly cloudy with a high of 36 degrees Saturday, New Year's Day, is the chance of snow before 9 AM mostly cloudy with a high of 38. There will be a calm wind becoming south around 5 miles an hour in the morning. Events: New Year's Eve, we have apres hosted by Michelob ultra with live entertainment at both T-Bars and Freestyle Lounge from 3-6pm. After that make you head to Town Square for the New Year's Eve fireworks celebration taking place at 7:30. Best place to View the display is in town Square. Saturday, there's a Bigfoot adventure walk taking place at 5:30 PM Waterville Valley recreation department. Registration in advance is required. Sunday we are hosting another church chair service at the Sunny Side Timber Lodge Deck. Meet at Valley run lift at 7:30 am.     Thursday December 16 Conditions: Colder temps should help the snow firm up a little and get our snowmaking crew resumed on their plan to get guns fired up on Oblivion Upper Vally Run, Burbon St, and Stillness. We will have Baseway and Revelation open off the Lower Meadows double chair. Valley Run is still getting some work put into it by our grooming crew pushing out piles and we anticipate opening it Saturday. 14 trails & 4 Lifts. Weather: Friday, 40 degrees F and sunny. Saturday, 30 degrees starting out cloudy with a snowstorm moving in Saturday night into Sunday bringing us 4-6 inches of snow. Sunday, high of 24 degrees F. Partly sunny. F&B Currently offering mountain side food service at Freestyle Lounge, The Market Place, and the Schwendi Hutte. T-bars plans to open Saturday. Events: Sat Dec 18 Nordic Passholder Campfire put on by the adventure center. Starting at 4, an award will be given for the most creative snow dance. The adventure center asks all in attendance to park at Town Square and walk over to the Osceola Arbor. (Maps of Parking and where the arbor is.     Thursday, December 9 Masking Effective immediately, Masks are required indoors, and also required outdoors when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Mask usage will continue at Waterville Valley until rates of community transmission improve in our region. Waterville Valley operates on federal land and, as permit holders operating on federal land, we are required to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), consistent with Executive Order 13991. Food and Beverage, Masks are required if not at your seat. Next subject for housekeeping Personal Bags and Belonging Bags and gear left around the Base Lodge create clutter, which reduces the amount of space for guests to spread out and remain physically distanced. Therefore, Bags, equipment, or any other personal items must be stored in 1 of 3 places: within a locker (located on the first floor of Base Lodge) you can now access through the kiosk located in between the restrooms, At bag-check (located on the first floor of the Base Lodge at the Season Pass Desk), Free of charge or left behind in vehicles. Any unattended personal items will be removed Unload Area Parking Our unload area is a very busy place. Please Park your vehicles parallel to the road. This ensures a safe drop-off area for our guests. Vehicles should not be left unattended for any amount of time. We will be enforcing this policy all season. Trails: This weekend we are expecting to have Old Tecumseh connecting to Lower Periphery offering our first Blue intermediate terrain open from the summit Baseway and Revelation are also planned to open as well Bringing the trail total to 13 with 4 lifts, White Peaks, Lower Meadows, and both pasture carpet surface lifts. Snowmaking is working hard on getting coverage on Valley Run, they have some big piles up there that they are getting ready to push out. They are looking to get that trail open mid-week next week.
