Welcome to another completely stable and professionally executed daily comedy show… where one host is preparing for a cruise that may or may not include hostage negotiations, another is heading to Vegas to sit on a radio panel titled “Reports of Our Death Are Greatly Exaggerated” (which feels aggressive), and the rest of us are arguing about hockey and stuffed monkeys.Rafe is setting sail toward Mexico during what the news is lovingly describing as “a tense time,” and naturally we handle it with firearms training jokes, cartel commentary, and Norwegian Cruise Line optimism. Meanwhile, Rizz is headed to Vegas for a radio conference panel alongside a guy flying his own private plane. Rizz? Row 20 on Southwest. Celebrity row, obviously. Fremont-adjacent accommodations. Lifts packed. Confidence medium. We also spiral into Vegas buffet strategy like it's a military operation. Crab legs first. No bread. Absolutely no French toast. If you leave feeling fine, you did it wrong. That's the rule.Back in STL, Moon lived his best cultured life at Phantom of the Opera at The Fabulous Fox Theatre (tears were shed, nuts were purchased), then followed it up with a suite-level experience at a St. Louis City SC match where apparently the buffet alone deserves its own documentary. Meanwhile, Rizz is still emotionally recovering from Canada being “butthurt” about losing Olympic hockey in overtime. Scoreboard is the judge. That's how sports work.We also check in on Punch the abandoned baby monkey who went viral hugging his IKEA orangutan, debate whether AI is the future or the apocalypse, invent a game show called House of Steve, and confirm that yes, Vegas is expensive now and no, the $4.99 steak days are gone forever. This daily comedy show somehow covers cruise chaos, Olympic gold, Broadway tears, casino buffets, monkey redemption arcs, and trivia-night costume strategy in one episode. It's chaotic. It's unnecessary. It's exactly what you signed up for.If you like funny stories, pop culture commentary, sports meltdowns, entertainment gossip, and sarcastic humor from a funny morning show in St. Louis, congratulations — you've found your new favorite daily comedy show.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Welcome to the latest episode of LIFTS, your bite-sized dose of the Latest Industry Fitness Trends and Stories. In this episode, hosts Matthew Januszek and Mohammed Iqbal are joined by Troy Taylor from Tonal to explore one of the most important shifts happening in fitness today: strength as the foundation of longevity. Drawing on connected strength data from thousands of members, this conversation examines a surprising insight — in many cases, 60-year-olds are matching or outperforming 30-year-olds in relative strength gains. The difference isn't age. It's consistency, progressive overload, and measurable outcomes. As the industry shifts from aesthetics and performance toward healthspan and preventative health, the discussion explores what truly matters as we age. From muscle mass and maximal strength to power and velocity, Troy explains why lower-body power may be one of the most important predictors of long-term resilience, fall prevention, and independence. The episode also explores minimal effective dose training, advanced tools like eccentric overload, and the growing role of connected strength technology. For operators, this conversation challenges traditional KPIs such as check-ins and time-in-gym, making the case for tracking strength progression and real outcomes instead. This episode moves beyond trends to examine what fitness operators, brands, and leaders should prioritise if the goal is not just participation — but measurable progress and long-term health impact. In this episode, we cover: • Why older members often outperform younger ones in relative strength gains • The real driver of progress: consistency and progressive overload • Why strength is becoming foundational for longevity • Muscle vs strength vs power — and why power matters most as we age • Minimal effective dose training and why 20–35 minutes works • Why lower-body power is critical for healthspan and fall prevention • Why operators must shift from tracking visits to tracking outcomes

Welcome to the latest episode of LIFTS, your bite-sized dose of the Latest Industry Fitness Trends and Stories. In this episode, hosts Matthew Januszek and Mohammed Iqbal are joined by Sean Turner, CEO of Les Mills US, to explore one of the most persistent and misunderstood challenges in fitness today: member retention. Drawing on decades of experience as both a club operator and global brand leader, this conversation examines why retention is not a content problem, but a human one. Sean shares how confidence, belonging, and experience design play a far greater role in long-term engagement than endless workout libraries or digital platforms. As the industry continues to invest heavily in content, technology, and on-demand solutions, the discussion focuses on why fitness cannot be built like a streaming service and what actually drives consistency and behavior change. From group training and coaching quality to structured systems that scale, this episode highlights what operators often misunderstand about motivation and why members quietly disengage. This episode moves beyond tactics and trends to highlight what fitness operators, brands, and leaders should prioritise if the goal is not just acquisition but long-term retention and meaningful participation. In this episode, we cover: • Why retention is driven by confidence and belonging, not content volume • The "confidence gap" that prevents people from fully engaging in fitness • Why fitness isn't Netflix and why that analogy matters • How group training and coaching create long-term adherence • What operators misunderstand about motivation and disengagement • Lessons from Les Mills on building systems that drive retention at scale

The FAA stunned travelers when it abruptly shut down the airspace over El Paso, Texas, citing “special security reasons” and announcing a 10‑day halt to all flights. Hours later, the agency reversed course, declaring there was no threat to commercial aviation and reopening the skies. Mexican cartel‑operated drones were reportedly disabled after breaching U.S. airspace, prompting the FAA to temporarily close the skies over El Paso as a security precaution before reopening them once officials confirmed the threat had been neutralized. So much of the beauty, kindness, and quiet magic of life is already here—but we often move through our days without truly seeing it. In this episode, I invite you to slow down and notice what awareness reveals when we stop living on autopilot. Awareness doesn't add anything new to our lives; it simply lifts the veil that keeps us from recognizing what's always been present. When we see more clearly, calm follows naturally. his episode of The Neshamah Project explores a Hasidic teaching that insists liberation happens one person at a time, each according to their own inner awareness and capacity. We reflect on Moses as a figure of parental love—one who carries others forward and, like The Giving Tree, gives so deeply that he does not enter the land himself. Alongside this, we consider a vision of power rooted not in harm or domination, but in chesed: elevation, presence, and freedom you can actually taste.
Fad workouts have been with us for decades, but they go back much further than we realize. Long before CrossFit, Zumba, P90X, Tae Box, Jazzercise or Jack LaLanne, we had 19th century strongmen. These mustachioed showmen were the first global fitness influencers. They hauled trunks of weights onto steamships, toured the world, then sold exercise equipment through the mail. The most famous was Eugene Sandow, who broke chains, and created with his own body a "manned cavalry bridge" where he would lie down while men, horses, and a carriage were driven over his body. He even fought a lion in front of an auditorium and won, although the lion was almost definitely sedated. Today’s guest is Connor Heffernan, author of “When Fitness Went Global: The Rise of Physical Culture in the Nineteenth Century.” In this episode, we discuss: Ancient Egyptians were basically doing CrossFit thousands of years ago. They trained with swinging sandbags that look exactly like modern kettlebell flows. One of the first exercise practices to experience globalization was Indian club-swinging. Indian club-swinging, originating from the heavy training clubs used by Indian wrestlers and soldiers for centuries, was observed and adopted by British military officers stationed in India during the early 1800s. Early diet culture was a carnival of quack science. Victorian fitness magazines were filled with miracle tonics, starvation cures and pseudoscientific meal plans. Many of our “new” diet trends are rebranded versions of schemes first marketed with sepia portraits and dubious testimonials. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Some stories don't gently ask for your attention. They demand it. Rhonda Bear's story is one of them. Like so many lives lived on fire for good, her story doesn't begin with comfort or clarity. It begins in brokenness. In a childhood marked by chaos, addiction, and uncertainty. By the age of twelve, Rhonda was already searching for something—anything—that might make her feel whole. That search led her down a long and painful road. And yet, what happened next is where her story becomes extraordinary. Let me explain.

Thread lifts have been around for years—but misconceptions about safety, longevity, and effectiveness still keep many patients confused. In this episode of The Plastic Surgery Revolution, Dr. Steven Davis explains when threads work, why they work, and who they're actually for. Drawing on decades of experience—including teaching thread techniques nationwide—Dr. Davis breaks down how modern dissolvable threads stimulate collagen, create lift, and can deliver long-lasting results when used correctly. He also explains why threads should never be treated like fillers, how improper aftercare can sabotage results, and why the most powerful outcomes often come from a strategic combination of threads, fillers, and laser treatments. If you've been told threads “don't work,” this episode explains why the problem may not be the threads—but the plan.
