Aren't those some of the scariest words you can hear, "We need to talk!" No doubt we immediately think confrontation and conflict are right around the corner. Join us today as we talk about our heart's greatest desire.

Being a parent is the best, hardest thing we ever get to do. Every child is unique, and if they came with instructions, we must have lost those on the way home from the hospital. Yikes! Actually, how cool is it that we learn how to parent, while being a parent, in the relationship we have with each of our children? God set it all up to allow our parenting style to constantly grow, adapt, and mature. We model real life for them as we live the ups and downs of real life everyday. Listen in as we share the joys we've found in every season of parenting.
"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all." - Dale Carnegie When we are in a hard moment it's so easy to question or complain, and totally miss the opportunities that are right in front of us. We want to pray, "God, please change my circumstances," when maybe we should be praying, "God, please use my circumstances to change me." Join us this week as we dive into the topic of growing through hard things.
In the English language we use one word to talk about love. Unfortunately, that causes us to get mixed up and confused in our relationships. We push away friendship because we fear this type of love. There is a way things work. Every once in a while we bump up against a truth that we don't like. In fact, sometimes we would rather determine what is true, what is right and what is wrong, for ourselves. Life is simpler that way, AND no one gets to tell me that I'm wrong, right? Well, how's that working for you? Our source of truth and what we believe becomes the foundation of how we live. Join us today as we look at how we can build a wholly authentic life on the foundation of absolute truth. Freedom In Christ Ministries https://www.ficm.org/ You can find many resources on their website for free including the "Who I Am In Christ" list we referred to in our podcast.

No one loves being called immature. Yet, everything in this world encourages us to think of ourselves and our needs first just like we did when we were children. Maybe it's time to leave some things behind and grow up and grow into the person God created us to be.
Coping strategies help us learn how to diffuse bad situations and avoid addictive behaviors. Being a parent is both rewarding and challenging in every season of life. Join us today as we talk about some of the key lessons we've learned while raising our three sons.
Speaking the truth in love is one of the most misunderstood, and often mishandled, responsibilities that we have in life. Today, we talk about how we can love one another well and develop the courage to have difficult conversations in a world that would rather we stay silent.
Today, we're continuing our conversation through Philippians chapter 4 where Paul gives us reading glasses for our soul, so that we can see a new perspective, trust God more, and do the work to experience a more vibrant and sustainable life every day.
How can we see more clearly and begin to experience a more vibrant and sustainable life? If you need reading glasses, you know what a difference they make. Today, we're going to begin a conversation on finding reading glasses for our soul.
What happens when we disengage? As I ask that question it reminds me of the scene in the original Top Gun movie when Maverick was struggling to decide whether or not he was going to engage in the battle or turn his back and ignore everything. This is the same choice we have to make every day. In part two of our conversation, we talk about why we must stay engaged in the battle for a wholly authentic life.
The struggle is real. No, really, the struggle is real. There is a reason that life is hard. There is a reason that conflict is easy. Our conversation today is all about waking up to the reality that if we want real change--wholly authentic, vibrant and sustainable, then we must fully engage in the battle for our hearts and minds.
We create memorials and observe days like this one to remember the significance of people and past events that have shaped the world in which we live. This practice in our daily lives can serve as an indispensable tether to God's goodness and grace in the midst of the ups and downs of life.
Being caught off guard is the worst as it can send us spiraling downward mentally and emotionally. Join us today as we talk about how we can be wisely aware of moments when we should expect the unexpected and be better prepared to withstand all that comes our way.
Do you remember the old commercial that asked how many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop? The owl licked three times and then just bit into it. Life can sometimes come at us that way. Everything is going along smoothly and then, CRUNCH! In those moments, no matter how many layers of candy-coating we have, what is on the inside will be revealed. Join us this week as we talk about getting to the real, heart of the matter.
Is fear keeping you from really living? Join us today as we talk about how to manage fear; letting it work for us when it can and confronting it when it stands in the way of the vibrant life we were created to live.
God loves you. He wants to walk with you in EVERYTHING you do. So often we exclude him from things we enjoy. Surely, our hobbies, our interests, or our music are way too secular for God. What? Why do we think this way? Let's review. God loves you. He wants to walk with you in EVERYTHING you do.
In a world of social media, video filters, and flawless special effects, it's tough to know what is real anymore. The pressure to measure up has us performing like actors day in and day out. That is just not sustainable, and thankfully, life doesn't have to be this way.
Where are you finding happiness these days? Just like looking for the keys you left in your coat pocket, it's all about looking in the right place. Join us today as we talk about how God created the world to work, and where the keys to happiness have been left for us all to find.
Today, we continue our conversation about relationships and trust as we take on the difficult question, "How can we trust God when life is hard?"
A key element in our level of confidence and security comes from our ability to trust. Can we trust the information we've been given? Can we trust the people in our lives? Every day it seems like something else happens to erode our level of trust in one thing or another. This is especially hard on our relationships. Today, we invite you to sit in on our conversation about trust, how we can understand the factors that impact our level of trust in others, and how we can bring trust back into broken relationships in our pursuit of a richer and more meaningful life.
Relationships are wonderful! Relationships are awful! Relationships are… complicated. God said, “It is not good for man to be alone,” so how do we get this right? Today, we are going to continue to challenge one another to break away from what is common so we can experience friendship on a level that transforms the way we live.
