    The Comparison Game (Replay)

    In this episode, we'll talk about the Comparison Game.  We find ourselves competing from a very early age.  Grades, sports, board games, dance recitals, races, a spot at an ivy league school, jobs, promotions, singing, to name a few.  Comparing your sales numbers to others selling the same thing or comparing the success of your business with a similar business is just a part of life.  There are actually some really positive reasons to look at where you are compared to others if you're comparing apples to apples and we'll get into that.  The problem is, that's not usually what happens.  Many times it's not apples to apples.  If you don't approach the comparison on a level playing field and with the right mindset, it can not only derail your momentum, it can stop you dead in your tracks.  It's important to understand how to stop undermining yourself and start competing with the right individual and that individual is YOU!     We're replaying Episode 3 -- When Disappointment Derails Your Momentum -- one of our highest downloaded episodes, because we can all use a little reminder of how to keep our momentum on track.     Are you Spinning your Wheels on Unqualified Prospects?

    In this episode, we'll talk about the Comparison Game.  We find ourselves competing from a very early age.  Grades, sports, board games, dance recitals, races, a spot at an ivy league school, jobs, promotions, singing, to name a few.  Comparing your sales numbers to others selling the same thing or comparing the success of your business with a similar business is just a part of life.  There are actually some really positive reasons to look at where you are compared to others if you're comparing apples to apples and we'll get into that.  The problem is, that's not usually what happens.  Many times it's not apples to apples.  If you don't approach the comparison on a level playing field and with the right mindset, it can not only derail your momentum, it can stop you dead in your tracks.  It's important to understand how to stop undermining yourself and start competing with the right individual and that individual is YOU!     In this episode, we'll cover how important it is for women to believe in themselves and in what they are doing in order to show up confident when speaking to a prospective customer.  Showing up with confidence can be a challenge if there are limiting beliefs surfacing when wearing the ‘sales hat'  There are so many negative adjectives associated with ‘sales' and women tend to internalize that negativity and show up feeling like they're going to be judged. It's a downward spiral.  When fear is brought to a sales conversation, it's difficult to show up confident and people don't want to buy from people that don't seem confident about what they're offering.
