Have you gotten a "word" or a promise from God and you're still waiting for God to fulfill? If so, this message is for you! It is a reminder that God keeps His promise. Although He hasn't fulfilled it yet, He's still coming to your house. An example is the story of Jairus, a father who sought Jesus to come and heal his sick daughter. However, while Jesus spent time with the woman with the issue of blood, Jairus got word that his daughter was dead. Nevertheless, Jesus told Jairus, "Do not be afraid, only believe." I encourage you...do not worry, just believe. I give you three (3) reasons you can know that God keeps His promise! Listen and believe!

Based on Matthew 20:22. So often we want the celebration and recognition of others without knowing the sacrifice they made or the suffering they endured. Until we exchange places with them, it is impossible to fully know their backstory.

Based on Philippians 3:13,14. The Christian race has many hurdles and obstacles; however, we must keep pressing onward. We must forget those things that are behind that will keep us from moving forward. Don't let anything or anyone even yourself stop you. This year is almost gone. We're looking forward to 2020; therefore, we must let go of past failures, setbacks, missed opportunites, bad decisions and disappointments in 2019. And like Apostle Paul's advice, press forward.

Material possessions are nice to have, but they will tarnish, fade away, depreciate in value or be left behind when we die. However, spiritual blessings that we have in Jesus Christ will never fade or depreciate in value! Scripture: Ephesians 1:3, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ..."

We live in a world and culture that applauds wrong doing rather right. Nevertheless, as Christians we must keep doing what is right in the sight of the Lord and trust that He sees and knows; therefore, He will reward us at the suitable and proper times.

There are degrees and measures of faith that a believer may possess as written in Romans 12:3, "...according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith." Seed faith to be saved is given; however, Christians are expected to grow in the Lord, and that means your faith grows too. As you mature in your relationship with Christ, you witness the power of Christ as "Author and Finisher of your faith." We may all begin with "weak faith" but should strive to go from faith to faith and from glory to glory! Be encouraged by this message.

Matthew 26:39, Jesus is overwhelmed with sorrow as his crucifixon is impending. Yet, he continued in prayer...he went "a little farther" alone while his disciples slept. Like Jesus, we must go beyond our feelings and submit to the will of God.

Since February is considered "Love month", today's words for life reminds us of God's love that He sent His Son, Jesus to die for us although we were His enemies...weak, helpless, and useless to Him and ourselves. Scripture: Romans 5:8.

Traditionally teaching of practicing saying, "Thank you" helped develop an attitude of gratitude. Ungratefulness is a roadblock to having the abundant life Jesus Christ came to give us. God responds to our offering of thanks!

Prayer is the answer and faith is the key! Faith is a most important possession given to Christians. We have all been given a measure of faith. That is faith in the risen Savior and faith in the written Word of God. Faith is like a precious jewel that is more valuable as time passes. However, sometimes like a jewel, our faith becomes dusty and loses its luster. Yet, when that happens, Jesus will come to us and restore, clean us up so that we shine again.

A message of encouragement based on Psalm 27:13-14. We are living in a time of crises. Trouble and difficulty in our personal lives, adversity and social ills, violence and crime will cause us to despair and panic. God is still on the Throne and has promised to never leave His people or abandon us.

Notes are taken from Colossians ( Paul's letter to the church at Colossae), which encourage believers to know who we are, what we've been called to, who qualified us and who Christ is. We need to know who we in order to function effectively and with the authority delegated to the Church of Jesus Christ by Christ Himself.

Based on Psalm 5:12... Words to inspire hope and encourage you regardless of situations. Know that if you belong to God He's got you! His favor is like a shield that surrounds you.
