    Ivy Insights

The Yeah Dude Sick Podcast is a must-listen for anyone in the BMX community. The freeform feel of the first few minutes of each episode may seem a bit off-putting at first, but once things get going, the intimate and unpretentious tone will grab you. This podcast is real and relatable, supporting and showcasing the Midwest scene in a way that's truly dope.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is its ability to capture the essence of BMX as more than just riding around on little kids' bikes and learning tricks. It delves into the community aspect of BMX, highlighting the camaraderie, trash talking sessions at spots, and the exhilaration felt when someone lands something sick. It goes beyond that too, encouraging listeners to question boundaries and look at life through a different lens. The insights and interviews provided by Casey are great, as he not only touches on the older BMX scene but also keeps things relevant with discussions about today's trends.

Another great aspect of The Yeah Dude Sick Podcast is its listener interaction. Listeners can suggest topics beforehand on Instagram and even participate in call-ins during episodes. This creates an open forum where everyone feels included and contributes to making each episode unique.

While there are many positives about this podcast, one potential drawback could be its initial freeform feel that might turn some listeners off initially. However, it is definitely worth giving it a chance because once things get going, you'll find that it hooks you in and keeps you anxiously waiting for the next episode to drop.

In conclusion, The Yeah Dude Sick Podcast provides an authentic view of BMX without industry bias. With great topics, insightful interviews, passionate responses to calls, and an inclusive approach to listener engagement, this podcast stands out as a top choice for anyone looking for a relatable and enjoyable BMX experience. Casey's storytelling abilities make this podcast incredibly engaging for those within the BMX community, and it leaves you eagerly looking forward to more. Subscribe and get ready for a great ride!

This episode is an audiobook version of a collection of stories written by Steve Crandall. These stories describe his life on the road and the many excursions he's been able to experience in his life of bmx. While I didn't read every story in the book, I hope this gave you enough motivation to not only go buy the book (assuming it's still for sale), but get out there and do something. Whether it's traveling or simply doing something creative. In addition to the book, my friend Scott Towne was gracious enough to recite the Foreword (which he personally wrote for the book). I'm grateful for the opportunity to share some of Crandall's stories with everyone and I cherish my involvement in bmx. If you have any ideas for future episodes, shoot me a message or call the hotline (317-661-1339). Thank you, and RIDE ON!

But as time goes on and genres of riding bmx become more specified, we begin to ask these questions. Is there a clear distinction on what can be considered "street"; as opposed to something quite similar, yet totally different? Perhaps questions like this are unnecessary and pointless.
