Jack Daniel's is only a numbing agent. It doesn't fix the pain; it just gives you a headache in the morning while the problem remains. Most high-performing men are "white-knuckling" their way through life, relying on a brand of strength that has no spiritual depth. They are mission-driven and overworked, yet secretly isolated. In this forensic identity audit, Ted Phaëton sits down with Chris Grainger, founder of The Lion Within Us, to dismantle the "Chief Everything Officer" trap. Chris reveals the exact moment his "white-knuckle" strength failed him, following a failed marriage and the tragic loss of his daughter, and explains why your ego is currently your biggest operational liability. We deconstruct the "Meteorologist" archetype of predictive leadership and why modern men must stop "outsourcing" their spiritual authority to AI or institutions. If you are a CEO, father, or leader who feels "successful" on paper but hollow in reality, this conversation is your diagnostic tool for reclamation.   In this episode, we deconstruct: The Identity Forensic Audit: Why your body breaks before your ego does. The 3 Most Dangerous Words: Why saying "I got this" is actually a rejection of God. The Feminization of the Church: Why traditional spiritual settings are failing the modern man. The Windshield Principle: How to stop living in the "rear-view mirror" of your past failures. The Lion vs. The Passive: How to safely tap into masculine aggression without losing your integrity.   CHAPTERS 00:00 – The "Mic-Drop" Opening: Jack Daniels vs. Joy  02:16 – When "White-Knuckle" Strength Isn't Enough  04:07 – Reframing Tragedy: Turning "Kid Pain" Into Purpose  05:50 – The Diagnostic: What Silences the Lion Inside You?  08:22 – Setting the Standard: Biblical Practices for CEOs & Fathers  13:14 – Windshield vs. Rear-View: Redeeming Your Past  19:28 – THE WARNING: Why "I Got This" Is Killing Your Growth  23:45 – Called vs. Qualified: The Moses Strategy for Success  27:33 – Has the Church Failed Men? Week one of the book being out in the world, and I still don't have the vocabulary for the support. Thank you. Genuinely. If you read it, an honest Amazon review costs nothing and helps more than you'd think. Then we get into the questions. A 25-year-old lawyer writes in about imposter syndrome and getting put on a pedestal for a job he doesn't feel qualified for yet. My take: keep the imposter syndrome. Just find a response that doesn't escalate or deescalate, and move the conversation to them. Next one hits harder. A Marine turned med student on the "vet bro" archetype, the guy in head-to-toe fatigues at the airport, and the social sandpaper that follows. Why one bad interaction outweighs a hundred good ones. Why comparative service and competitive suffering benefit nobody. And why the best counter is just being a good expression of what you used to be. Also covered: what recovery looked like overseas vs. now, why special operations runs like a professional sports team, and my honest take on TRT, dosage, and chasing health span over lifespan. Inside The Tech Powering Modern Collision Repair

In Wheel Time - Cartalk Radio

Ever wondered how a body shop brings a modern, sensor-packed car back to life after a crash? We sit down with Andy Noyes from asTech, driven by Reparify, to unpack the behind-the-scenes tech that turns chaos into confidence: remote OEM diagnostics, precise calibrations, and factory-level programming delivered through a simple plug-in device. From pre-repair scans that reveal hidden restraint faults to post-repair verifications that ensure every module is talking, you'll hear how shops cut delays, reduce supplements, and hand back vehicles that are truly road ready. We dive into real-world cases where this approach shines. Airbag deployments aren't just about swapping a module—procedures can call for new seat belts, sensors, and software steps that vary by brand. Windshield replacements on late-model cars now demand camera calibrations, and we explore why cheap glass can sabotage those efforts even when the camera is mounted correctly. Andy explains how brand specialists pair OEM tools over the internet to program radar modules, run seat weight initializations, and diagnose intermittent ABS issues with live data, saving days of trial and error and protecting drivers from unsafe ADAS behavior. If you manage a collision center, handle glass installs, or simply drive a car built in the last decade, this conversation makes the new repair reality clear and practical. You'll learn why generic scanners miss key modules, how pay-per-use remote support scales from a few jobs to dozens daily, and how transparent reports help set expectations with insurers and customers alike. We round out the show with a quick look at regenerative tire tech on the horizon and a field guide to the best Texas bluebonnet routes for your next drive. If this helped demystify modern repairs, follow the show, share it with a friend who wrenches, and leave a rating with your biggest calibration question—we may answer it on air next week.Be sure to subscribe for more In Wheel Time Car Talk! The Lupe' Tortilla RestaurantsLupe Tortilla in Katy, Texas Gulf Coast Auto ShieldPaint protection, tint, and more!Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. If you need to hire one person, hire a team of people, or transform your business through Talent or Technical Services, Insight Global's team of 30,000 people around the world has the hustle and grit to deliver. www.InsightGlobal.com/LearningLeader My guest: Tom Hardin was known as "Tipper X" during Operation Perfect Hedge, the largest insider trading investigation in history. After making four illegal trades based on inside information, the FBI approached him on a Manhattan street corner and convinced him to wear a wire over 40 times, helping build 20 of the 81 cases. Key Learnings  Ambiguity is where ethical lines blur. Tom's boss said, "Do whatever it takes," after the hedge fund lost money, and as a junior employee, Tom didn't ask clarifying questions. The undiscussable becomes undiscussable. Leaders give ambiguous messages, then pretend they weren't ambiguous, employees get confused and don't question the boss, and you end up with a culture of silence. Making decisions in isolation is dangerous. The information came to Tom and he didn't talk to his boss or his wife (who probably would've slapped him around for crossing ethical lines). Psychological safety requires muscle memory. You have to practice saying "I'm just going to ask some clarifying questions here" when your boss gives ambiguous orders. Bad decisions aren't mistakes. Mistakes are made without intent, but bad decisions are made with intent. Tom told himself for years he made "mistakes," but on a drive home from speaking at a keynote, he realized: "There's no way I made mistakes. I made bad decisions." Never say never. Tom argues you're more susceptible to falling down your own slippery slope when you think "that would never be me." 80% of employees can be swayed either way. 10% are morally incorruptible, 10% are a compliance nightmare, and 80% can be influenced by the culture around them. Tone at the top means nothing. Company culture isn't the tone at the top or glossy shareholder letters; it's the behaviors employees believe will be rewarded or put them ahead. Reward character, not just results. You can't just focus on short-term performance and dollar goals without understanding how the business was made and what was behind the performance. The question isn't "what?" but "how?" If you're just focused on the numbers and not on how you got there, you have the opportunity to end up in a slippery slope situation. Celebrate people who live your values. Companies that spend millions on trips for people who live out shared values (not financial performance) are putting their money where their mouth is. Leaders must share their own ethical dilemmas. We've all been in situations where we could go left or right, and sharing how you worked through those moments makes you more endearing and a better leader. Keep a rationalization journal. When Tom and his wife have big decisions (or even little things), he writes them down in a rationalization journal and reflects on them once a month. He's still susceptible to going down another slippery slope, so checking himself on those passing thoughts improves his character over time. It's not what you say, it's what you do. Just like kids see what parents do (not what they say), employees see what behaviors leaders actually reward. $46,000 cost him $23 million. A business school professor calculated Tom would've made $23 million if he'd stayed on the hedge fund path, but he made $46,000 on the four illegal trades before getting caught. His wife was his rock. 85% of marriages end when something like this happens, and she had every right to leave. They just got married, no kids yet. But she stayed. When Tom interviewed her for the book 20 years later, she said, "All I remember is you accepted responsibility immediately. You didn't make up excuses." Running pulled him out of a shame spiral. Tom got obese as a stay-at-home dad. His wife signed him up for a 5K race (and beat him while pushing a jogging stroller). Just crossing that finish line lit a fire. He ended up running a 100-mile race.  Doing hard things teaches you that you can do hard things. When Tom had to start a speaking business because they were running out of money, he said, "I can do this" because he'd already put his body through ultramarathons. No challenge is insurmountable. He ended up with something better. It's not about status or money anymore; it's about who he is with his family and his relationships now. Windshield mentality, not rearview mirror. Tom can't change the past, but he can look forward instead of backward. A lot of people in their twenties do stupid stuff (maybe not to this degree), but now, in his forties, he can learn from it. Why not embrace it rather than try to scrub it off the internet? Eulogy virtues versus resume virtues. In his twenties, Tom only thought about resume virtues (how much money, the next job, the next stepping stone) and never about eulogy virtues (what people will say about his character when it's all over). What will people say at your eulogy? Will they still be talking about those four trades, or will they talk about who you became after? More Learning #226 - Steve Wojciechowski: How to Win Every Day #281 - George Raveling: Wisdom from MLK Jr to Michael Jordan #637 - Tom Ryan: Chosen Suffering: Become Elite in Life & Leadership Reflection Questions Tom's boss gave him an ambiguous message ("do whatever it takes"), and as a junior employee, he didn't ask clarifying questions. Think about the last ambiguous instruction you received from leadership. Did you ask clarifying questions, or did you fill in the blanks yourself? What's stopping you from creating psychological safety to ask next time? Tom argues that 80% of employees can be swayed either way by culture. Look at your organization right now. What behaviors are actually being rewarded? If someone asked your team "what gets you ahead here?" what would they honestly say? Tom asks: "Will people be talking about the resume virtues (money, titles, achievements) or the eulogy virtues (character, relationships, who you were) when you're gone?" In this podcast episode, we discus the newly released 2026 Indian Chief Vintage.  The Chief Vintage leans hard into that classic 1940s-inspired styling with sweeping valanced fenders, wire wheels, wide bars, and that unmistakable Indian silhouette that screams heritage. It's got the nostalgic look riders love—lots of chrome, iconic badging, and vintage vibes—but this isn't some museum piece. It's built to be ridden. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE Underneath that timeless styling, you've got the Thunderstroke 116 V-Twin, and that means torque for days. This thing is made for rolling on the throttle and feeling that deep, low-end pull whether you're cruising Main Street or stretching it out on the highway. Indian didn't ignore modern tech either. With ride modes like Tour, Standard, and Sport, plus a Ride Command display with navigation and smartphone connectivity, you're getting a solid mix of classic style and 21st-century convenience. It's the kind of setup that gives you the best of both worlds. CHECK OUT OUR HUNDREDS OF FREE HELPFUL VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBE! And let's be real—half the fun is making it your own. Indian offers a range of accessories so you can dial it in for long-haul comfort or keep it stripped-down and clean. The 2026 Chief Vintage feels like Indian saying, "We know where we came from, and we're proud of it," while still delivering the performance and reliability today's riders expect. It's Monday, February 9th, and The Rizzuto Show kicks off your daily comedy show the only way we know how: by celebrating Chocolate Day, Pizza Pie Day, and the sacred holiday known as Brown Monday. Productivity is optional. Judgment is not.The crew dives headfirst into Valentine's chaos, breaking down which states are actually romantic (congrats, Alabama… we guess?) and which states are apparently just vibes and isolation. Missouri lands just outside the top 10, proving we almost care. Love letters are back, matching tattoos are a terrible idea, and AI-written romance is officially on Lern's list of marriage-ending offenses. Then things get spicy. A deep dive into cheating stats reveals which states are searching Ashley Madison the hardest (Colorado, what are you doing?), followed by the most unhinged cheating excuses ever recorded by mankind. From “I forgot to break up with you” to “that was my other personality,” the excuses get worse, dumber, and somehow more confident. The Super Bowl recap? Painfully boring. Commercials? Mid. Halftime show? Visually impressive, musically confusing, and guaranteed to make at least one person yell “I don't know this song!” at their TV. But the real Super Bowl tragedy was food.Moon's Wingstop pickup turns into a one-hour hostage situation, ending with half the order missing and everyone silently judging each other in a packed restaurant. Rafe attends a Super Bowl party with the weakest food spread in human history (Pop-Tarts were involved). The crew debates proper Super Bowl etiquette, shames weak contributions, and accidentally invents new snack-based laws. Then… the mystery deepens. Someone is drawing wieners on cars. Not metaphorically. Literally. Windshields across the area are under attack, and no one knows who the Doodle Wiener Bandit is. The crew debates drawing styles, angles, psychology, and somehow turns it into a full-blown art critique.Add in car cleanliness confessions, hoarder tendencies, Super Bowl party politics, awkward butt dials, and the emotional damage of waiting for wings that never came — and you've got another beautifully unproductive daily comedy show episode.Listen now, laugh irresponsibly, and remember: if someone brings Pop-Tarts to your Super Bowl party… they are not your friend.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.Americans to Eat 1.48 Billion Chicken Wings for Super Bowl LXThe Life and Times of the Piggyback Bandit‘Piggyback Bandit' sows chaos in Northeast Ohio, prompting police responseChicken wing champs for Super Bowl: Americans to set consumption record during Sunday's gameWhat is the viral Chicken Banana song and why is it so popular?‘Vagueposting' trend sparks social media fury with intentionally confusing postsThis Southern State Was Just Named The 'Most Romantic' In The U.S.What is everyone talking about this week: As Valentine's Day beckons, love letters are making a comebackSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This week on Serving Sundays: is it a "Wind Chill" or a "Windshield" factor? Candace isn't entirely sure, but she is sure about her attire, broadcasting comfortably in her robe while Dave stays formal in a tie.The episode takes a nostalgic turn when listeners Mike and Ike call in with a story about a Machine Gun Kelly concert in Calgary, sparking a fiery conversation about the absurdity of modern ticket prices and the "dynamic pricing" scam. But the real fireworks begin when Dave tries to reminisce about taking Candace to her very first concert to see Reba McEntire. In a shocking twist, Candace denies the event ever happened, demanding photographic proof and leaving Dave wondering if she's been living a lie.Later, the mood shifts from repressed memories to sparkling futures as Candace unboxes her official "Cinderella" competition heels. The couple discusses the confusing judging criteria of fitness competitions, the reality of working 12-hour shifts, and the thrill of finding high-end gym gear at the thrift store.
